    With my family the 3 cats that we used to have were both indoor and outdoor cats. 2 of them did wonder around the area near their home. One cat stayed close to his home. All 3 were happy cats. My 2nd cat was a big lover towards the family. He was my best friend for a long time. He always cuddled with me. I had a very special bond with him. One cat was my buddy. The 3rd cat was my play thing. Each cat had different attitudes.

    My lad is very happy but if he doesn't get enough to eat (in his mind) he finds the food sacks, which are high up and very thick plastic and tears them open! He identifies them correctly by (I think) colour or perhaps the logos. Quite frustrating for me, but shows amazing intelligence.
    (I'm not deliberately underfeeding him, he's on a diet after ballooning postoperatively, but his hunger still seems to win.)

    I have found a diet that stops hairballs in my 2 cats. They are 6 yrs and 4 yrs and have never had hairballs. They are short hair rescue cats. Dry kibble is not good for pets. Cats need meat. I feed a freeze dry raw type kibble with moist food packet adding a tablespoon of pumpkin purée. I’ve spent the last 72 yrs feeding cats. I’m still learning. I used to show cats-ocicats. A healthy shine to the coat comes from inside. My daughter is a Veterinarian. With all my experience I still question my efforts. I am no authority on cats just an enthusiast. Cats require a meat diet that has enough water as most cats are not big drinkers. In the convience of dry kibble food we lose nutrients and moisture. Statistics show that since the invent(1920-1930) of dry kibble to livestock and pets there has been noticeable uptake in cancers. Always be concerned over plastic containers for water, food, food storage, treats, etc. Use ceramic and glass. Wide elevated bowels are better for cats and dogs.

      Hi.. I am a first time cat owner. We give daily meat or fish as one meal n dry food in the evening.. I haven't neutered him yet.. It worries me.. How they will feel after neutering. Are they gonna be dull n sleepy.. He is 2 active. No sprayin inside house yet.

      @@dyu9698they recover quickly after neutering, I have been doing TNVR for 5 years and the boys go back outside the next day, females take longer ❤ my two male cats are both fixed and it’s stopped them from fighting and spraying when outside. I've never understood this indoor cat nonsense, what are you supposed to do in in the summer when you want the doors and windows open, tie your cat to the bedpost I suppose, the situation sounds like a pain in the you know where at, unnatural too!

    • @mikoto7693

      Some people use catios, I’ve harness trained mine. I attach the leash to a very long rope, tie the rope to a door handle and open the doors and windows. The cats then go in and out at will.

      @@mikoto7693 Well it's something to think about, I used to have a very street and bush wise cat, very wary of cars, coyotes, and other dangers, three years old when I got him an wondering in the woods, original owner could not be found, I never did like stinky litter boxes in the house but I also never worried about him going outside on his own which was much more important than that, but I also realize that not all cats are like this!

      @@foxfriendzanimaltown9859 To be fair, I’m in the UK so we don’t have any particularly dangerous wildlife that can hunt cats. I also live in the city near a road that people love to speed down. It’s the humans I don’t trust so I actually do put my cats on harnesses attached to a very long rope that I tie to my door handle. They get to wander in and out at will, run, play and even catch mice.
      But I will admit there’s a selfish element to it. I couldn’t live with myself if they just went out one day and never came back. Being on the rope and harness means I can recall them when I have to go to work, at peace knowing they’re safe and happy at home.

      @@mikoto7693 Ok, some people think that foxes are dangerous to cats but I think that's all BS, we don't have foxes here in the Vancouver BC area for some strange reason, but I've also seen a cat and a wild raccoon peacefully sitting almost side by side almost as if they were old friends, but we also have coyotes, can't trust those ones as much, you've given me a bit to think about, getting a two month old kitten on the 26th, don't want her wondering now in any case, saving your post, Thanks!

      I have netting surrounding my three story high balcony so my cat can enjoy sun and fresh air with me. Catios are also popular. Take them on walks with a harness. Let them in the garden under supervision. There's plenty of options.

      I am so insulted by the "prisoner" comments and insinuations. Cats who live a so-called "natural life" often get run over by cars, killed by dogs, tortured by sick humans, and eaten by coyotes where I live.
      Cats who wander freely kill so many birds -- some 30 species of birds are now extinct because of people allowing these little predators to kill so much. They're not hungry -- it's not natural -- they don't eat their kill.

      Cat proof your garden (no in or out), if impossible get a safe cat run & sitting area made, and if you have no garden then you shouldn't have a cat, get a dog & walk it regularly.

    Saying kibbles are bad for cats it's like saying chemical products are worse than natural because NaTuRaL iS bEtTeR. Well no. Not always. Some kibbles are very good quality

    • @Goikuchan
      @Goikuchan 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      True. Good quality dry food contains a lot of valuable nutrients for your cat. It also helps scrape your cat's teeth clean. A combination of dry and wet food is usually the best. I have a Bengal and people always swear on a natural raw meat diet for this breed. Well, not him. He won't even touch anything raw. 😅 But he does get high protein dry and wet food and he's perfectly healthy from the in and outside.
