These days, you really do not need top power output offered to have a good time. In fact, keeping things light proves quite powerful in keeping it fun. And the 2023 Porsche Macan T is excellent proof of that. You get as sharp a suspension at the top-of-the-line Macan GTS, but carry 129 fewer pounds. You also get heated seats and steering wheel and a generally luxurious experience.

just bought a macan T and its a amazing car, very fun to drive, accelerates very well and good to bend. I was almost buying a x3m40i but when I entered the macan I had no doubt.
Robin. This is the best review of the Macan T out there. It is an awesome variation of the Macan. It is also the best value of all of them. Loaded up it is cheaper than the S and standard Macan and GTS when comparing options to options. Great for touring and around town. Also bespoke and relatively exclusive and quite fast enough. Great job.

Just got my Macan T and talk about a fun ride! Was concerned about the comfort since I’m more about cruising and it did not disappoint. It’s very comfortable and surprisingly a bit bigger than the base. My son is 6 ft. and he had no issues sitting in the back. Has plenty of pickup and smooth on the turns. It was at least $8k more than the base. But some of the added features: 20s on the wheels, wireless charging, heated steering wheel and the BOSE surround sound was off the chain and well worth the money. Very happy with this car. Think if you’re looking for that extra speed and bounce go with the GTS. But if you’re more of a casual driver that likes the chill ride the T is perfect.

Thanks Robin. Great review. My wife and I have a Macan T on order. I have a 2018 718 Boxster and love how it drives. Couldn’t find any compact SUV that came close in handling or looks.

Thank you so much! For me? I'd go T. Better fuel economy and plenty comfortable for daily commuting, etc. And WAY more fun when the opportunity to really drive comes. But the S is, ultimately, more comfortable and faster in a straight line. Depends on your personal priorities.
@@viewsonvehicles well said, Robin. reminds me of my '93 MR2 - not the fastest or most comfortable car by a long stretch but by far the most fun to drive. I think reviewers get so caught up in 0-60 times they sometimes fail to realize that just means you're that much closer to getting a ticket in most parts of the land :)

More car reviews should show what sort of objects fit in cargo spaces. Bikes are a good test. If you can put them in a car they are out of the weather, they won't get stolen, they don't cause drag. What wheel size does that bike have?
There is a channel that used to do a 'box test' which was a good idea but they seem to have stopped doing that.

Thank you! I only drove this Macan T here. But, all of my experience with Touring or T variant Porsches is positive. I would presume it's quite good, just not quite as sharp as with the air-springs in Sport + mode.

Yeah, not a strength of the Porsche, fuel economy. But it handles like a hot hatch and I simply cannot deny how much fun it is.

@@viewsonvehicles I would bet though, that in warmer weather you'd consistently better the EPA rating, at least on the highway, by 10% or so. That's been my experience with most versions of the EA888, and both Macans I've had - one with the base engine, the other a 2020 GTS with the 2.9 TT V6 - that one did more than 10% better, if you used cruise, kept it under 80 and if conditions were good.
I was quite keen to wait for the Macan EV but the issue is our EV charging infrastructure in Australia is not advanced and I can't see this improving for at least another 5 years. Thus, I ended up purchasing the Macan T which I intend to enjoy for another 5-7 years and perhaps considering switching to the Macan EV. Yeah, agree, Porsche and fuel saving are oxymoronic!

@@viewsonvehicles you have to want to stand out to get the papaya! It’s a beautiful color though. classic and goes great with the agate gray.
I ordered mine in Jet Black Metallic, that should go really well with the Agate grey and darked out exhaust pipes. I also had the side "Macan T" logos optioned red to match the red leather interior too! Yep, personal taste :)
Nick Murray insists the T stands for turkey. But as Nick is generally wrong regarding most things I pay it no mind, lol.

What size are the wheels/tires?
20-inch wheels. Tires are 265/45R20 in front and 295/40R20 in back

I'm a tad put off by the naming convention. Also makes the rear badging look likes it's saying it's unable to to things. MacanT. But mostly as an owner of a 2021 Macan Turbo, I feel like the T gives an impression of being like the Macan Turbo.

@@viewsonvehicles, absolutely love the turbo. Near supercar acceleration, amazing brakes and unbelievably comfortable. The 18 adaptive sport seats are awesome. The most subtle item and my favorite is the addition of PSCB. Not a spec of brake dust anywhere.
I do wish it had a better exhaust note.
@@ScottParisi PSCB is a cool feature. One of those things to really help the car still feel new, brake dust free wheels. And, yeah, those seats are fantastic. Glad you love it!
At 11:15 he says that this is. 2022 car. However the title says 2023. Which is it?
No. I said that the base engine, the turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, got its power increase for the 2022 model year. This is a new-for-2023 trim that uses the base engine. Sorry for any confusion.
The Macan T is a new trim level for 2023. Not found in past years.
The S version is a hoot to drive!
