    Been running my Kony at home since 2014, no issues at all. 4 coffee drinkers (2 baristas) and social friends mean we are putting 1-2kg a week through it. Overkill, yes, but it has been well worth it over the long term 👍

      Yes Peter they are such a good piece of equipment and that thing will last you a long time at that rate :) What type of espresso machine do you have on the bench?

      Artisti Coffee Roasters - Expobar Office Express - formerly a training machine at my local roaster. Angle boiler but had it since 2010, still going strong with quarterly services 🤗

      Everything is overkill, big houses, a V8 in a car, but it’s soooo fine

    I'm loving all the relatively cheap used MAZZER grinders up for sale now at a bargain price because...
    All the businesses and cafés have gone bust...
    Wonder how that happened...?

    Hi, l just get confused bit about my grinder,you might help me-:) screen shows 3737 so means done 3737 shots since new? I told machine is less than a year old when l buy.please tell me your opinion thanks

    • @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters
      @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So the 3737 is the number of button presses, once it hits 9999 it goes back to 0. so i would rely on the serial number and date of manufacture. but keep in mind this grinders go for ever, and are very reliable.

    Also, was this the revamped Robur S or the older E model you covered in this review? Did the S make up any short comings? Do you think Robur is the ultimate conical for home use, or should I save 800$ by getting new F10 Compak since I already own one, a K10 w/conical and have been very happy with it. One thing I love about my K10 is how forgiving it when I change blends. It usually only takes the slightest of adjustments that hold until I decide to change blends again. I attribute that feature to conical burrs.

      Yes your spot on with the conical burrs, they are forgiving. We don’t use the compak much, they are a great Grinder but as for specifics best to do the research. We love the anfirm best on demand, it’s a flat burr or the commercial anfim sp11 for our blends and singles when we want to get finer flavours. If we want bold flavours we stick with the conical. Now if your only upgrade is the dosing and touch pads, and the burr set is the same size, then there will me minimal taste benefit. The robur is a bigger burr set so it’s faster. The S is a newer interface and other small improvements. Yes grind by weight is good, but it will be another 5 years till it’s cheap enough for the home market. I hope I answered it all. 👍🏻

    For the money would not a big flat ala mythos or anfim be better for specialty? Love my EK for home especially at the moment working from home! Used to own mazzers back in the day and whilst bulletproof really wasn’t hitting the mark for grind uniformity.

    • @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters
      @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, grind uniformity has been identified after these grinders were made.

    What grinder would you recommend for a coffee trailer? Would you also recommend having a separate one for decaf?

    • @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters
      @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The mazzer Kony, check out our video series on how to build a coffee trailer. They have very low power usage! Great conical burrs and auto dosing. And easy to secure to the trailer for transportation 🤜🏻

      @@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters Thanks! What about grind uniformity? Is it manageable? I've been dreaming of using a Mythos 1 but it may be out of the question!

    So at least in USA and on Mazzer site the Kony has 450 watts. I am in market to upgrade my Compak K10 to something electronic and doserless. I want to get the Kony its selling for 2K but I am not sure if that is a downgrade from my Compak motor and burr size. What I dont like about the Kony, the compak F10 and the Ceado E92 is they all came out almost a decade ago. I feel I will buy one of them then they all will release gravimetric dosing and durable touch screens.
