Mostly ChatGPT, but BARD is surprisingly good at some tasks. BARD hallucinates far more than others. If you’re not validating the output, you definitely should. I need to do a video on this but I used BARD to help me with my personal brand attributes and structure it formally, using @gmail @drive @maps. What style, tone, color palette, etc. worked great!

I have more of a comfort with ChatGPT, but I think they each have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Hi Jeff, just started to follow you and love your work! Even if this video has been uploaded 4 weeks ago, it's already somewhere obsolete due to an updated version of Gemini done on 20th of Feb. ;) In fact, summarazing bullet points today Gemini informed me that "It's important to note that the video is about an older version of Gemini called "Meena," so some of the features might have changed or been improved since then. " But most of the stuff is still usefull and interesting. My comment is not to somehow critic your job, but to inform others viewer on how quickly AI performance is evolving.

Jeff Su, you are exceptional. You helped me with organizing my Gmail and mastering Google Bard (so far). I tried using Google Bard with Docs (2:20) and Google Bard mentioned how it wasn't able to read files in my Google Drive. I found a way around this.
Get the link of the specific file, assign "Viewer" privileges and past the link in Google Bard. Instead of asking for 3 takeways (I always want more), I asked for 5. And ... I got what I asked for.

Hey Jeff, sorry for late response. I didn't watch this video, as I kept this in my playlist and expected to watch it after deep work (spending time on upskilling). Now after I have watched this, I can say that, you provided me more ways to use Google Bard or Gemini AI (as it is going to be called by this name as Bard brand is discontinued) in a productive and an effective manner. Tags, is something I never ventured into but starting now, I will use it as much as possible. Do add more such videos related to increasing productivity and skills and learning. 💌

Great video. Did you know that in Gmail you can open emails instantly in new windows/tabs? No need to use the mouse menu (right click).
To open email in (Windows):
* new window: SHIFT + Mouse click,
* new tab: CTRL + Mouse click.

Switching to Bard with a personal Gmail account has been really helpful, but I'm having trouble accessing extensions. I can't even see the "extension" option, even after trying with several different personal accounts. Could this be because I'm located outside the US? I've also tried searching online and checking Gmail settings, but haven't found any solutions. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

When I tired to use the TH-cam extension to sum up your video, Bard told me it can't do it. the following: I understand you'd like a summary of the TH-cam video linked but I cannot directly access and process video content. However, if you could provide some details about the video, such as:

Any specific points or takeaways you found interesting or helpful
With this information, I can leverage my knowledge and understanding of language to analyze the points you share and offer a relevant summary or actionable steps based on them.
I saw you suggest that it may be an unsupported language issue but that is not my case and my Bard TH-cam extension is enabled. Do you know what the problem might be?

Do they store chats automatically in folders Mayne a spreadsheet for better retrieval? Pinning is nice but not enough to find necessarily or filter.
I store prompts, but not chats. Genuinely curious - when do you find yourself needing to save entire chats outside of Bard?
So I can't upload a file but I can tell gemini to read a file in Gdrive? Cant it help draft contracts or analyze contracts😊? (I used ChatGPT successfully to this effect. Obviously I have some domain knowledge so I can correct when the AI deviates form what is expected).

Is TH-cam vision available in all countries? When I try to use it, sometimes it works, sometimes gemini says that it does not have capabilities to process TH-cam videos.

Hi, I have a few problems using Gemini.
First of all, there is no extension menu on my setting tab.
Secondly, I followed the exact same steps as you did to upload a PDF file from either a website or my drive, but it doesn't work. and here is Gemini's respond:
"Unfortunately, I can't directly access and process the PDF file at the link you provided."
Do you have any ideas or solutions for these problems?
You might be in a location where extensions aren't enabled. For PDF you would need to share the link publicly
Simple question: Is there an AI chat assistant that knows ALL the codebase of my project, so it understands business details of the solution, so I can prompt for advanced feature building? Like I say "add an invoice module that lists invoices of customers on separate page" - so assistant provides ALL necessary changes in the codebase to make it done. I assume Gemini with its 10 mln tokens support will be able to do that. Is there anything today that resembles it?
I'm assuming you've already tried CoPilot?
@@JeffSu Yes, actively using it. It only gets limited context, usually only open files. Good for single file or single component development. Im looking for a solution that knows all the code and can help designing complex features.

wait, if you user gemini to query your email doesn't that contaminate your gemini conversion with persona information? Google saves these comments but dis connects them from your account, but if you leave emails in the convo, then their human reviewers can then see personal stay tied to you right?

and for those with and are on macOS, you can make use of Arc web browser's Little Arc, and code Shortcuts in macos.
One click , with open Arc web browser first, followed by open url, which points to gemini.
The only thing left is actually, have a preload prompt typed in and entered automatically within shortcuts app macos, else with just one single click of work flow, its pretty much Jarvis like
And yes, those with co-pilot, can use the same thing, with microsoft edge web browser as well, but you do need to point the Open App as the PWA version of co-pilot in outlook though

@@JeffSu yep, even for daily work profile ive the profiles separated, and with the Shortcuts, ive done linkes to be air-coded in Arc to open into little Arc windows, sorta of a PWA [ progressive web app ]
and i assume, those with Notion, or like myself capacities io app, it feels right at home to have shortcuts done, to have Gemini Floating or GPT4 from Bing search
if only theres more information on the apple Shortcuts apps and how to actually do keystrokes when specifc window is open and which prompt to type for search of just sync

Cool tip about summarising vids. I've started to use it and it's a "game changer" as young people say (well is saves a lot of time anyway).
However I wonder what it will do to creators ad revenue if I don't watch so many videos and just read the Bard summaries?

1. Summarise a live stream after it's been broadcast (the URL is different I notice). This would be very handy

I think the lesson for creators is "Don't tell me what you know, show we what you know and how I can to do it for myself"

for uploading a pdf for it to summarize, mine said: I couldn't find any for the document "[File Name].pdf". Despite it showed the recommended exact file in the Google Dive below the prompt.

@@JeffSu I noticed that there have been some new features and improvements on Gmail. I implemented it zero inbox 3 days ago and it was amazing. I shared it with my colleagues at work the next day and they told me it's private when they tried accessing it.
