As always, excellent content Jeff! Maybe because I was on Chat GPT 3.5, I ran into loops of errors. Solution: I paused the screen at 5:18 and selected the bottom portion of the script. Copied that, pasted it into ChatGPT, and told it to try a different approach using the provided script. Worked instantly.

Jeff, can you do a video on how to create a script to generate Google Slides from Google Sheets? I have been trying to figure out how to do this for years with no success.
@@JeffSu thanks for asking. I teach College American History, and I’m wanting to experiment with putting material for lectures in a GoogleSheet. I would maintain all of the information on the back end (the Google Sheet), so I can update all of the information (or add new information) more quickly and uniformly than doing it manually in Slides. The method I have seen when I ask AI is it says put brackets in a template slide that then correspond to column headers in Slides. In short, you could simply put a ton of data in a Google Sheet which could then generate a slide, instead of having to manually create and maintain a ton of different slides. I’m sure AI could come up with other examples of ways this could be useful.

Hey Jeff, great video on AI! I was curious about how Perplexity compares to Claude. Do you think you could make a video explaining that? Thanks, looking forward to it!

I only made this change because I wanted the bullet points in a single text box: Populate the slides using the slide titles and bullet points above, but the bullet points should be inserted in a single text box, so each slide will have one text box for the title and one text box for the bullet points.
It's good Jeff but I think you have combined 2 separate topics here. Video 1 how to create great slide content using AI. Video 2 how to get AI to generate a Google slide presentation from great slide content. You are brilliant, keep doing what you do.
Before more people waste a heap of time in and endless loop of errors, while the video and concept are great it simply does not work in ChatGPT3.5 - there probably should be a disclaimer to this point. Great work, Jeff! Is there a way to also do the same script in Microsoft PowerPoint? Sadly, not every workplace has moved to the greatness that is google docs 😢.
Hi Jeff. Quick q, in your other video you mentioned how CoT is the best way to go about in doing complicated tasks. But here I see, you use long prompts. How do I discern this?
Great question! So in this video I also "sort of" used CoT since I followed up with the prompt asking for a Google Apps script. And since the context windows are so long now, I felt comfortable inputting a longer initial prompt

Thank you for this video, it really inspired me. However, here are my findings after replicating it with chatGPT: 1. The slides I get are always really bad. Like not even good enough for editing the hell out of it. I tried several topics and several variations of the prompt, but I was pretty underwhelmed. 2. I tried to let chatGPT generate me the google apps script code for generating the slides and it failed every time. Not even several cycles of giving it back the error messages helped. I ended up writing the script myself. 3. I still really like the workflow, so I edited the script to open a prompt and accept any JSON text input.
Jeff, can you produce a video on using AI to update content and design of already existing slides presentation and existing google documents. And also how you can use chatGPT to also produce talking points for the deck for the notes section.
hmm im back, experimenting with something odd and off, using your previous GPT, ive actually used Ricky Gervais as a style of doing user guides when troubleshooting the same issue over and over again.
@@JeffSu Well, its as hinted. from one of your other videos, i. aim to relax my audience when in the board room or similar. but yea... more GPT prompts for both gemini and co pilot will. be fantastic
Hi Jeff. I've looked at a lot of content around auto slide generation. AI is great for content generation but when it comes to presentation formatting all the results seem to be the same, in that it's simply putting text on the left and an image on the right. Do you know of anything more sophisticated. Say for example one slide was on 3 products you offer, they would be split out into three boxes with related iconography ect?
Thanks Jeff you saved a ton of time for me, hope your reply isn't auto-generated by AI. A carrot emoji will be enough to know that your reply isn't auto-generated.

Omg it's Matt Koval! How are you my friend! Loved your thoughtful reaction video on the (potential) tik tok ban!
@@JeffSu Hey, I appreciate that!
Fantastic! Everything worked but not the formatting part
Wait which formatting part?
Great work, Jeff! Is there a way to also do the same script in Microsoft PowerPoint? Sadly, not every workplace has moved to the greatness that is google docs 😢.
Yup, you can generate VBA code
Let’s get into Perplexity! 👌
Ok!
In case anyone was wondering about one of the example perplexity searches (6:56), no, banjo is not easier than guitar.
LOL
Another great video! Thank you! Are you using chatGPT 4 or the free version? I use the free version so will this work on that?
Probably not as well to be honest :(
Perplexity certainly does hallucinate.
Yes it does!
This content is so fire 🔥 Amazing
No arguments from me
Thank you very much Jeff 🤝🤝🤝🤝
No problem!!!
Hi Jeff, as always excellent video, I'll to ask you if you think the prompts you use in video can be used in Gemini. Also it will be great if you make a video about Perplexity
Yup these can be used in Gemini as well 😁
@@JeffSu OH! Which is better? Chat GPT 4 or Gemini for this use case? I wonder if the coding would be easier on Gemeni because it is a google product as are slides...but I imagine the content creation is better on Chat GPT. I would love to know your thought's Jeff...I think this video deserves a Sequel.
I normally dont comment on youtubes, but he's far too good for me to stay shut up ❤😂
Yay I'm glad I got your comment 😁
Wow this is insane!
I know right??
Great video 👍 thanks Jeff
Thanks my friend 😁
Thank you! That was very helpful

pure gold Jeff, thank you so much
You're welcome!
This is fantastic content from you.
Although, I ran into an endless loop of errors with ChatGPT and Gemini. I tried for a long time before giving up.
Wait really? Are you using ChatGPT 4?
Jeff, thanks! 👍🔝
No problem 😁
Please do a video on tips for perplexity 🙏🏼
Will do 😁
Oh! This is something that will help me with my classes. But It only generate the first slide...Thanks, I will keep trying to fix this error.
Try using ChatGPT 4 or Gemini Advanced

Made with HARPA AI
Hey Jeff! Good stuff. For some reason the “generate presentation” is not on my Google Slides. I’m using Workspace. Could that be it?
Did you follow all the steps?
Thank you for this video, it really inspired me. However, here are my findings after replicating it with chatGPT:
Interesting! Are you using ChatGPT 3.5? And have you tried using Gemini Advanced as well?
I had the same issue, using both ChatGPT 3.5 and Gemini. No matter what I tried, it would continuously error
@@mdkessel Yea this works much better in ChatGPT 4 and Gemini Advanced
@@JeffSu ahh man, poop! 😥
Jeff, can you produce a video on using AI to update content and design of already existing slides presentation and existing google documents. And also how you can use chatGPT to also produce talking points for the deck for the notes section.
You can find everything I use here: www.jeffsu.org/gear/
That is impressive bro ...
Thanks 😁
This is equivalent to using chatgpt to create vba code and then use it in MO PowerPoint
Yup that works too!
Nice. Thanks for sharing

hmm im back,
experimenting with something odd and off,
using your previous GPT, ive actually used Ricky Gervais as a style of doing user guides when troubleshooting the same issue over and over again.
Wow, must be some funny user guides 😁
@@JeffSu Well, its as hinted. from one of your other videos, i. aim to relax my audience when in the board room or similar.
but yea... more GPT prompts for both gemini and co pilot will. be fantastic
Do you think keeping a pro/plus subscriptions for BOTH is worth it?
For me yes
This is dope shit man!
Thanks
No problem 😁
short and sweet
Thanks 😁
I don't think AI tools are there yet 😂
Thanks Jeff you saved a ton of time for me, hope your reply isn't auto-generated by AI. A carrot emoji will be enough to know that your reply isn't auto-generated.
Here's an onion emoji to show that everything is auto-generated 🧅

@@JeffSu hahaha
Is the presentation outline created by Gemini AI lacking compared to ChatGPT?
They're both great to be honest!
Can you please create a video on chat gpt prompt for video scripts ...
I will when/if I figure that out myself haha
@@JeffSu i will be very happy ,,,will be waiting for your next upload
This is a great video! I am now a subscriber! However, I am getting error after error after error. I have received 9 errors so far after executing the script and I still haven't got it to work. Arrggh!
Are you using the paid version of ChatGPT?
@@JeffSu Yes! But I wasn't. lol
I appreciate this video - awesome concept. Unfortunately, I copied your approach step by step and I keep getting errors when I generate the script. ChatGPT fixes one error but introduces another. Quite annoying.
Are you using ChatGPT 4? Try it in Gemini advanced as well!
@@JeffSu yeah, it's the free 3.5 ChatGPT so maybe that's it. Appreciate the help.

Hello, I'm a Chinese teacher, I guess because it's Chinese characters VBA codes runs error (already regenerate several times), do you have any suggestions, thankyou so much
hello I had an idea but I'm not sure I can make it in pencil a GPT, could you tell me what you think of it
what do you mean?
@@JeffSu hello, thanks for your reply
thanks to the API I can do SEO automatically, I mean there are tools like rank math however if I understood correctly I cannot automate it, I mean I have I understood that to use it I must be connected to my back end and scan the pages one by one then I must change the keywords one by one?
on the other hand I was wondering if there wouldn't be a site to which I could give the URL of my site and that it would automatically scan all the pages and replace all the bad keywords with good ones?
if this is not possible then I asked myself if I will not be able to develop a chrome or WordPress plugin?
I'm not a developer at all but I've seen tutorials where it's explained that it's as simple as a prompt
and finally the last option is I thought maybe I could do it with a make scenario?
I made my product catalog on Google sheet, on this sheet there are 2 columns for the images, the first is the URLs of my images and which are stored in my WordPress database and the second is is images in PNG (I'm not sure that the word, format, is PNG? in a Google sheet) and then I have two other columns, among others, so the third column is the titles and the fourth column is are the descriptions
then I entered this CSV file into woocommerce
So do I have two bases for giving?
so I was wondering if I couldn't build myself an SEO robot that could scan all of my pages and replace all the title and description keywords on each of my pages?
as I said previously I understood that rank math allows me to scan my pages but I have to do it by hand and page by page from my back end?
did I understand well ?
so I thought that if there is no SEO application that allows me to scan a site and optimize each of the pages and this just from the URL I thought that maybe I could do it either by creating a make scenario or a custom GPT or a chrome or WordPress extension?
an idea that I had and to replace the keywords (titles and description), present in the columns of my Google sheet automatically with make and to add the openAI API so that it rewrites my product sheets for me
but here's the problem is that I have to go through the Google sheet each time and to update the product sheets of my woocommerce store then I have to re-import this new Google sheet, CSV, into woo
so as I said in my previous message I thought about directly creating an SEO scanner robot
in order to avoid this updating operation in Google sheet then reimport the csv each time in woo
it's not much but I would also like to sell on several Marketplaces and not just in France
so for example with Amazon, if I want to sell on 5 Amazon Marketplaces I have to update 5 different CSVs?
that's why I thought about an SEO robot scanner to go much faster
and I just learned that I can connect make to wordpress so I could simplify the idea of my CSV, it allows me to intervene directly on my WordPress site without having to go through Google sheet so is it an SEO robot? to scan?
and regarding eBay, Amazon...
Do you think I could have an extension developed for each of these Marketplaces and thus ask make to create my product sheets and update them?
but as you know a lot more about APIs than me I wanted to get your opinion
do you think these ideas are good and feasible?
I hope my writing is clear but I doubt it a little,
I am French and I use a translator
do you understand my message?
