In Norway, it's practically illegal to build anything that isn't non-modern turdstain cube building if you wanna build a new house. My dad tried getting permits to build typical wood panel houses with angled roofs.... NOPE. Can't do that. Gotta build a boring soulless cube instead.
I'm curious what spurious bullshit acts as the justification for the regulations being as they are. Does the Norwegian government provide any explanation, or is it just the interpretation and interaction of the laws by the courts?
Btw, regarding youtube channel termination and strikes... that is entirely youtube's invention and is fully under youtube's control. It is not a feature of US law. TH-cam could at anytime choose not to enforce their standard policy, demand a reinstatement fee, or even have a completely different system for their partnered creators based on actual legally binding contracts. The 3-strikes thing was an improvised hotfix during the early years to deal with people uploading full movies and beheading videos. It might work as a deterrent for a casual user, but is completely unsuitable for a million subs partnered creator with a 10 year content archive. Especially now that moderation is automated, basic policy channel takedown should never be a thing for these creators - they should instead receive a call warning them of a policy violation and discussing further action and/or contractual penalties. That is, if youtube actually valued its creators. It is entirely possible that youtube despises everyone and only really wants to do business with large music, television and hollywood movie corpos.
Concerning the moving hypothetical: There is a handy Wikipedia article on gun laws by nation with a useful table that has info on personal protection and carry laws etc. Czech Republic for example allows concealed carry, Russia allows home defense with shotguns etc. A lot of Eastern European countries have permissive gun laws, Poland and some other Eastern Euro countries have strong borders, Switzerland has direct democracy (direct voting on issues) and also very permissive gun laws and a lot of gun owners, Scandinavia has a strong hunting and sports shooting culture, Hungary has had a lot of success in strengthening family life (birth rates stopped going down) and also Eastern Europe is free of progressivism. Also you can own guns in quite a lot of Euro countries if you just join a gun club and don't display low-IQ behavior.

I hate that Twitch Con puts so much focus on drag.
