Tbh I watched this video before buying the headset and I gotta say that I got my moneys worth !! The headset is great. Cool mic volume and works good on gaming and it was $27 at target. Best recommendation video!!!!

That second one you picked up is exactly what I've been using🤣 They came with the original XB1 I bought in like 2015🤣🤣🤣 Just grabbed these TB ones to try out just so I can have something a little better for a while. Went cheap on these bc I also grabbed an elite series 2 controller so I had to compromise a little🔥

How good is the sound quality? Cause I just got these headphones and the sound quality is horrible but I have a slightly damaged audio jack so I was wandering if it’s the audio jack that’s making it sound bad or the headset itself
For $25 one can't expect great sound quality but, from my experience, it's decent. I wouldn't say it's horrible. Then again, it also depends on what you're accustomed to. If you've heard Astro 50s and then listen to a 50x set, of course it would sound horrible. On their own merit l, they are decent for the price point.

Would u still recommend this headset? I have the chat headset that came with my xbox one I got in 2014 lol it still works but I would like to have a headset that covers both ears. It's on sale for 24.99 rn and the reviews are solid for the most part
As an entry level headset, yes I would still recommend them.

FOR THE IMPATIENT: the mic won't go in fully unless you line it up correctly. Look for the little lines that align on the mic and the outside of the speaker.

I got one today, here in Mexico the turtle beach decal it's tiny 1/3 size, anyway They sound fine but I heard this product don't last much, anyway for the price it's a good better than other chinese knock offs
Interesting how you noticed the decal is only 1/3 the size of the decal on other sets. Are you sure the ones you purchased is an authentic Turtle Beach headset? As for durability, I have thrown mine in a drawer, snagged the cable a few times, and they work just fine.

@@user-pl6vb6ci5f That's crazy. I've had mine forever and I'm not very delicate with them. I leave them on my couch and they get crammed between the seats, I throw it in a drawer with other controllers and cables and nothing. The mic is a flexible boom mic, I wonder how it broke. Did something physically break or the mic isn't picking up your voice when you speak?

Hey man I got the turtle beach recon 70x it's only a few dollars more than the recon 50x
Last I checked it was 25 for the 50X and 40 for the 70X
How many cheap headsets did you test before claiming this is the best?
I spent over $200 on headsets so I believe there were 7 or 8 sets. As we know when someone claims a product to be the best, especially with speakers, it's very subjective. Some focus on the microphone for clarity and lack of distortion, some are more keen on the sound. When it comes to sound some enjoy a good punch of bass while others focus on the highs and mids. So, for me, who mainly plays FPS, likes the rumble of low frequency responses with a decent mic, this was the best headset under $30. I hope this answers your question and thank you for taking the time to comment on my video.
I'm thinking about refunding the 50x and getting the 70x its only 15$ more so no biggie.
For the next step up, I would do the same. The flip up mic alone is worth the extra $15.
