You do great work, Joel. Thanks for sharing. Having the aperture at 1.7 obscured the setting too much for me and definitely increased the degree of difficulty. That’s the beauty of art though, we all have our own taste.
Do you remember what power the 800 was set on? One of the things I'm considering is I often have my FJ400 maxed out.The additional power of the 800 means I would probably have lower power settings which would give me more flashes, faster recycling time, etc when working outdoors in full sun.
nice tuto. Do we really need 800W at 60cm distance to use HSS ? 80-200W enough, no ? very interesting that you cascaded two right angle westcott arms to make a boom !!! I have one, which is helpful but sometimes not long enough !!!
Here for the gear not the photog. These were good regular photos. The new fj800 is something I definitely will be adding to my gear. I want to replace all my fj400s now.
Why did you raise ISO @6:30 instead of lowering the shutter speed to get the background a little brighter? Wouldn't this have kept flash power consistent and just added some more exposure to ambient? Seems like raising the ISO caused the specular highlights on her forehead and cheek bones to get a little too bright, but maybe this was the intent?
I could watch Master Joel all day. 😊

My experience with the Godox AD1200 Pro is I usually have it 1/4 or 1/2 power setting.
Excellent photos
The video was very informative! I will start practicing with the high-speed sync flash!
I would also love to know what that beast of a light stand is and what the tripod is.
Kupo c stand and two Westcott brackets stacked
Wowwwwwwwwwwww..Beautiful captures….
Great Video!!
I would like to know the strobe settings. Thanks for the video.
What is that light stand???
I want 😮😮😮😮
What light stand is that strobe on
Wonderful video, whats the mame of the left light stand and the attachments
What brand and model tripod head are you using?
Which light stand are you using work the shorty arm?
Looked like a combo stand to me (both baby pin and junior receiver), but I am watching on my phone so can't be certain.
The shorty arm looks like the Wescott 8” shorty offset extension arm.
I was wondering the same thing about the light stand. He pinned the westcott products so I assume it is not a westcott stand.
Helo from Brazil -
Just AMAZING.. U R the best
does anybody know what light stand is he using?
Genial! El uso de las herramientas actuales hace que podamos tener acceso a nuevos contenidos. 🫶

Nice. Only issue with high-speed sync it the power loss and overheating in high rate shooting environments.
Hello
Which lightstand and adapter on the lightstand is this ?
How would you meter the scene for ratios ?
tha was a phase one camera?
I didn't hear you mention if flash was ETTL or manual. If manual, what was power on flash?
no TTL he is way over camera sink speed. manual setting and it depends on the situation, no one size fits all .

agree
Спасибо. Полезное информативное видео. Красивый результат. Фотограф профессионал и красивая модель. Оборудование отличное.
Was Joel using the silver or white interior?
Joel used the white interior beauty dish.
Sir Kelvin??
CPL..... we use it often to knock the sky down
You sure can make the sky go DK blue without HSS. 1/4-1/2 CTO gel on the light. WB to 3200. Voila.
I take shots with deep blue skies and clouds with the Ad 200 pro regularly. Using the A7 IV and a ND filter
Too much advertizing.
