I kind of gave up on music for a couple of decades, which explains why I never knew of Iron & Wine until a couple of weeks ago. And my first exposure to them is this wonderful set (thank you KEXP!) These versions of Anyone's Game and All in Good Time grabbed me and won't let go. I was gobsmacked on my first listen. What a treat to have finally discovered this band. Better late than never, I suppose. A big thanks to WXRT and Big Thief for turning me back on to music about a year ago. But that's a story for another day...
they edited out everytime he called cheryl 'sharon'...which was like five or six times...-=( i remember hearing it live on-air & being like 'wtf...how do you not know the great cheryl waters...O_o'
TBH there´s a lot of rock and roll singin´and a hollerin´ which is okay I guess but TBH (again) I can only listen to someone for a while if they have a sh...voice. This dude knows his instrument and how to use it. Lovely voice and band- Congrats. Tx for this
Beautiful performance. I love these songs and their humanity coming out :) Live is Live! Anyone know what make/model of the microphone is it that's pointing at the acoustic guitar?

I'm not on the radio so I can say HOLY SHIT this was fantastic!
Highly recommend seeing Iron & Wine live if you can. One of the best concerts I've ever attended.
Elizabeth Goodfellow is such a fantastic drummer
Saw him shortly after this performance in Vancouver. The music, the VISUALS 😮, the whole thing was incredible.
Iron&Wine is TIMELESS.
This version of Teeth in the Grass is dope
I don't think I could love Cheryl Waters any more, what a wonderful human being she is, she seems like she is the light in any room.
Beth Goodfellow! The best! 🌺
One of my favorite bands playing on my favorite radio station! Thank you!
Sound 👍 Delicate percussion 🥁 Happy music. Thanks
I've been watching most of the good quality I&W live show recordings on youtube for years, and the best ones are always the ones with mistakes
Sam is always bang on .. what a talent ...

The guitar mic on this session is an Earthworks Audio SR30.
