Nurses have long shifts, barely get sleep (or for those on the night shift, have to reverse their sleep cycle completely), are constantly on their toes (both literally and figuratively), not to mention they have to deal with the patients (whether it be themselves or their families), which when it comes to the problematic one's, that can lead to unfortunately assault and/or harassment (if escalated to that degree). He purposefully hunted House down for revenge as a police officer; that's abuse of power if I've ever seen it.Most of the things that he said about House apply back to him and even worse. He was projecting so hard.
During Tritter's first visit, he kicked House's cane out from under him while he was walking. That is assault. Prior to that, House had only commented in glib and rude ways which are not crimes. Not to absolve House of the things he did afterwards, but Tritter was the provoking agent.

There are Constitutional restrictions, laws, and regulations he has to follow to use his authority including not using it for personal gain. He did not.

House constantly uses his ability as a doctor to do things that would not only get his license revoked but several years in prison. The only reason we give house a break is because he's saving lives while he makes people miserable, but in his mind it's all justified. Tritter was designed to be exact same way, hence why he even said "Everybody lies".

    • @AntifaareFascists-zv6xk
      @AntifaareFascists-zv6xk ปีที่แล้ว +3

5:40 watch Tritter ask the question. He inflected with intention to get a jarred answer. It happens all the time. "Can you prove that?" "Oh, you think I can't."
The thing is, Tritter said "do you have?" That's a question of a present or absent characteristic. He specifically inflected because he knew House's response before he said it."I CAN-" is a statement of capability, not characteristic. A statement of capability is not a statement of current any standing. "This isn't because I was speeding-" again, just by letting House talk, Tritter is able to do the majority of his job. The director put the six most important words there for a reason "anything you say can and will-" It's was placed there for a reason. House did absolutely ZERO detective work himself as we've seen sniff out fakes, fraudsters and the occasional woman that is cashing in before losing her benefits. He chose not to see it and Tritter saw ever detail with ease. So much so, if the viewer is honest, they know they saw it too. You get pulled on at 40 in a 25, do you open with a joke about how it's not about the law you were just breaking? No, we don't want to admit it because we love House but there's some part of him that's not only delusional but downright stupid compared to your average citizen. It's based around the otherworldly quality of arrogance he has. Yes arrogance can be bad but it's not bad when it's right. Tritter just so happened to prove it this point. He's in the right, House is in the wrong and it's the arrogance of both men the have been flipped vertically. House is no longer making strides, he's making confessions and Tritter went from pin cushion to pin in that same time. I think Tritter is a poor parallel translation for House, solely because House exists as the focus. If we saw Tritter outsmart House into talking more, He'd be a great parallel but House does most of the talking as far as Tritter's "case" is concerned. I think he could have been fleshed out more for the parallel but here's the thing, eventually it turns into Mario and Luigi on 8 bit. Remember the whole carbon copy, girl action movie wave that happened a few years back? You could tell before the trailer ended, yea, it's one of those. I think that was avoided intentionally between House and Tritter. Yes, seeing a close approximation is actually quite nice when done correctly. Like banter between our main interest and themselves about the thing that makes you love them in the first place. Like your pup looking at you intentionally adorably, maybe you can't prove it but it feels like they're doing that just for you. I don't think there's a way to represent a House type character that has an opposing position in an honest way because the House type character is your main character. Whoever their opposition will definitionally be a background character that's been brought up without the long and arduous explanation our main hero has shown to us. Most basically "that's MY purse, I don't know you." It's very hard to look at the opposition and see a direct opponent. Either above, potentially life destroying, or below, hilariously life affirming. Jail time or Kutner balloon animaling the intestines of a dead man because we don't even know if Tritters ever had a partner.

If he just left it at shit talk this could've stayed civil but once he made it physical he got a thermometer in the butt. Granted House could just let it go as well and said sorry and not mean it but knowing the kind of guy Tritter was im sure he wouldn't have let it go at that. He literally used his power as a cop to track House down and give him a ticket as an excuse to ruin his life to get even/ teach him a lesson which is the most self rightoes bullshit anyone can ask for from a cop. Side Note: When Tritter said that a bully only stays a bully until he meets a bigger one (paraphrasing) it makes sense meaning that he is definetly used to doing this to other people before House.-

Everyone passes House everything, all the time, while he is a mean SOB. Tritter is a very clever and interesting nemesis, since he is the only one who was able to actually win playing House's game. He outsmarted him big time. I am so happy they decided to make him last more than one episode.
Even when he loses the war, in the end, he takes the high ground by saying "good luck" to House, where he was expecting more revenge. Truely one of the best arcs of House M.D. Great screenplay and great actors.

Tritter wasn't supposed to be likable; that doesn't make him wrong about House. Despite Tritter being a petty jerk about the whole situation, House did need to be taken down a few notches, forced to understand that there are limits to his behavior and methods for a reason, not the least of which antagonizing someone when you don't need to. He could have apologized after the incident and that would have been that. Even Cuddy and Wilson acknowledged that House had to solve his own problems if he wasn't going to accept help from others, especially with Tritter giving him opportunities. In the end, House was given a way out, and even Tritter told him that he hoped was wrong after the conflict ended.

    I didn’t understand Tritter , and then I dated a drug addict for 2 years…
    I understand him now.
And he’s right. Addicts lie even through their actions. Until you deal with one personally, you are in a world made of delusions from innocence. That everybody has good in them and just needs help.
Addicts will prey on you with that mindset.
There is a difference between being an addict and choosing to be a POS human being.
Most addicts do in fact choose to be the later.
I’m not excusing anything Tritter did. But whoever wrote him had real life experience in dealing with addicts.

    • @spawnglance6720

Tbh, from the start, House was in the wrong. Waiting 2 hours to be seen is extremely frustrating and is enough to make anyone angry. On top of that, House didn't even bother to get Tritter tested for his concerns and instead just diagnosed him from sight because House has a God complex and doesn't care about his mistakes. House didn't have any empathy for Tritter whatsoever, so how can people expect Tritter to have any empathy for House. In a real hospital, House would be fired very quickly for constantly breaking procedures and treating patients like dirt, no matter how good he is.
