There's Michelle's mom and her grandma crying on cam, Michelle crying behind the cam, and then there's me crying on the other side of the screen. This vlog is something that you'd look back on and still get a wave of emotions while watching it

Been a silent viewer, but this made me cry like a baby. My Mom is also an immigrant, and I visited last year after 11 years of not seeing my grandparents. The mix of emotions and the pain was palpable. You are a good daughter Michelle. I hope the trip was everything you and your Mom hoped for and more.

I began to cry when they reunited. Proves that it doesn’t matter how much time passes, we’re always someone’s child - needing their parent. ❤

I've been a silent viewer of yours for years and it's not easy for me to cry, but seeing the reunion with your grandma and how you and your mom took her for a walk with the wheelchair brought me to tears and struck something in me. Seeing clips like that reunion segment and trips like this one that you have with your mom reminds me how precious, yet fleeting life can feel. I'm a student, so I've been engrossed in school and thinking about my future for years now, but this video was a beautiful reminder that spending time with loved ones triumphs all else in importance. Thank you Michelle <3

this is not a vlog, this is an art film, the way everything felt so simple and mundane yet there was a sense of tender reality to it :') honestly this makes her vlogs stand out from other vloggers!!

As a daughter of immigrant parents. It breaks my heart that my mom wasn’t able to see her mom before she passed away. So seeing your mom go back to Korea and see her mom. It’s truly a blessing. Honestly this is my favorite vlog. Thank you for sharing.

Seeing your mom and grandma embrace made me cry. My grandma is currently in hospice and my mom is heading to see her one last time tomorrow, the nurse said she won't survive to the end of the week. I can only imagine the pain my mom is going to feel saying goodbye. Doesn't matter how old you get, you're always your mother's daughter.

There is no video in TH-cam history that I wish would never end like this one. I'm so glad you were able to do this for and with your mom and I appreciate you sharing it with us. This is so inspiring!

Hi Michelle, I’m a 25 years old living in Vietnam. After watching this video, i decided to take my mom to Singapore for the first time. She has been around at home to cook, clean, take care of others, ... but never go far from where we live. Thanks for your video and the emotional feelings of you and your mother, it was giving me inspiration and determination to make this trip with my mother. I still have a lot to prepare to make it happen in July. But I’m so happy to tell you this. Love you so much!

"Living life grateful for things you have and being okay with what you don't have. And just be healthy. Wouldn't everything work out then?" These words are priceless 🙏

As the daughter of an immigrant too, so so many emotions watching this video. I am not a crier but as soon as your mom and grandma greeted each other, I almost had to look away, you could just feel the flood of immense love and pain. Whew. It's impossible to know the courage and strength and pain to leave one's country without living it yourself which can cause a disconnect sometimes between immigrants and their children, they sacrifice so much for, but this video reminded me to thank my mom (again) for raising me, be more patient/gentle with our differences, spoil her a bit more and make the efforts to travel back with her to her home when we can.

I was fighting back tears this entire video but your mom reuniting with her mom just set off a waterfall. It's unspeakable how precious these moments you've been able to capture are, and thank you so much for sharing them with us. Your mom looked so happy to be back in Korea, I can't imagine how much of a blessing it feels for both of you to be able to spend this time together. So much love for you and your family, thank you again for sharing this with us.
