Similar but different. The BPM transition effect on the Rev5 brings up the speed of the slower track and lowers the speed of the faster track until they meet in the middle. With Simple Sync, the incoming track's BPM is locked to the BPM of the track that is already playing. Both methods allow you to do things that would require a third hand to accomplish normally.
Pretty damm good stuff - its so confusing i changed it 10 times already lmao 😂 I’m going to turn off maintain sync on track load cause that is a real problem
Random question... If the tune in playing on the left deck and your crossfading it to the right, which side do you press the sync button on, the left side or the right side?
@@logisticalstyles Thanks. Can I ask one more thing... if you use smart sync, does it still work roughly the same, without editing beat grids? Im unsure why people need to edit them, it seems like too much hassle, wasting too much time for every single mp3!
@@reflux043 Beat edit is necessart if the beat markers are out of place. The software occasionally places beat markers in wrong place and if you dont fix them your mix will be a mess.
Yes, Serato's key lock doesn't handle bass very well. When you play songs with a lot of bass and just have the basic key lock engaged you can hear the bass breaking up even with the smallest variation in pitch. Pitch n Time doesn't have issues with bass.
Thanks so very much, you're amazing. I am now enjoying my sync after your help. Cheers
Glad to help!
Thank you so much 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾 you are amazing
You're Welcome!
Thanks homie help full
You're welcome!
So would this be equivalent to the pioneer ddj rev 5 bpm transition button 🤔since i have the rane one ddj controller?

Yeah, you definitely have to experiment with the settings to see what works for you. tanks for watching!
I’m guessing you’re power sets are your Bangers or your sets that mixed well.
I like your teaching
Can you use sync in Scratch Live?
I don't think Scratch Live has Sync. I believe it was introduced with Itch when Serato began supporting controllers.
@@logisticalstyles ahh ok, I just started using scratch live for the first time, I bought SL3 on FB for super cheap. I'm a little behind lol

On the right side. You hit Sync on the song you want to bring in.

Hey I see you're a pitch n time user. Any difference to Serato's basic key matching algorythm?
