- Today I’m extremely lucky to be joined by the supremely talented guitarist - and all-round top chap - Jack Griffiths for an exclusive interview!
Jack was in my neck of the woods recently to put on a workshop for Bad Cat Amplifiers at my local music store, six + four and so I just had to sit him down and found out what he’s up to these days. (You can watch the clinic in full here, by the way: • Bad Cat Amps Workshop ... )
Most of you will be familiar with Jack thanks to his excellent gear demos and his spellbinding guitar skills on the Peach Guitars TH-cam channel, but since Jack left Peach in 2023, he’s been busy! In the interview, we cover Jack’s relationship with Bad Cat amps, his own guitar influences, his current gigs, and more.
Here are some links to the various parts of the interview, and a few tasty playing samples from Jack’s Bad Cat workshop too:

Honestly Jack, you WERE the whole Peach channel. No joke my Peach channel watching has dropped 95% since you left, and it's not because the others are bad, it's that you're playing is mindblowingly amazing, and it's not just about the playing by the way, you were such a better presenter and host, theres no possible way that the viewership of the Peach channel hasn't dropped at least by 50% minimum, your talent has always been miles beyond a music store employee, like PRS said, what you have in your fingers is magic.
Thank you so much for your very kind words! 🙏
I agree 100% with this. The only time I go to Peach guitars website is to watch the old videos, which I still do regularly 😂
Have to agree, the newer Peach guitarists are excellent but Jack was is “musical”
Yep really haven’t watched a Peach video since Jack left. He was the reason I was there. I see the Bad Cat demo is there while I’m watching this interview. Gonna check it out
Jack is a phenomenal guitarist. I’ve watched a lot of his peach guitar demos. I don’t think I’ve seen someone do it better than Jack!
Yes, he's pretty much the gold standard when it comes to this kind of stuff... Such a versatile and well-rounded player, and always plays for the moment/gear, rather than simply shredding as fast as he can. Great storyteller too, as evidenced in the workshop he did that day 👍
Jack Griffiths is a global treasure of guitar artistry.
Waiting on an album, Jack…
He's one of the very best out there for sure! I'm also stoked to hear his original stuff... come on Jack!
I’ve always admired Jack’s playing. And he seems like an absolute gentleman. Wishing him all the best for an exciting musical career. What a talent!
Jack manages to do what every musician should strive for - he keeps things INTERESTING. A phenomenal player👍
Totally agree! He's such a varied player, and as we touch on in the interview, never seems to play the same thing twice... really keeps you on your toes as a listener and I can't wait to hear his original music when it finally arrives ☺
Crazy to leave peach. Great platform for you and your playing. Haven’t watched peach since you left. But havent seen you either.
It was certainly a brave move, I agree - but as Jack says in the interview, sometimes you just need to move on. I'm really hopeful we'll see more content from Jack soon, and some original music too! (And I am sure Peach really miss him too!)
I watched a newer peach video the other day and wondered where Jack had gone such an incredible player
Yeah, he's such a great and versatile player and made pretty much everything he demoed sound great. And he always played to show off the gear, not himself. Peach vids are still top but I think everybody misses Jack!
Jack of All Trades - Master of them All 🎉❤
Yes, that's a great description!
Beautiful Friday evening, interesting interview with the guest. I wish you both a nice weekend. Greetings. Pavel CZ.👍👍👍
Thanks Pavel! Jack's a great guy, and you'll get to see the whole workshop soon too, with lots of his amazing playing :) Wishing you a great and sunny weekend! Rich
Monster, clever, articulate player. Great interview, really dig Jack's playing!
Absolutely - it was a pleasure to watch (and listen to) Jack up close for 90 minutes at the workshop. A real privilege! Thanks for watching and enjoying my interview too :)
I’ve been following Jack since Peach. He’s an extremely talented player and musician. He wouldn’t do just demos. He would play these fanatically musical guitar pieces that made me want to pick up my own guitar and play. I am really looking forward to some original musical from him. Good luck Jack
Great interview.
Great amps too!
Yes to both! The new Bad Cat stuff is awesome, and Jack's the perfect fit to show them in their best light!
It would be so cool to hear Jack playing original music
I'd be so down to hear that, too! Because we've heard Jack cover basically every musical style ever from his Peach days, it'd be fascinating to see and hear where he goes when he's writing from the heart and for himself. Really hope we get to hear some of his originals this year!
A fantastic musician and guitarist. Also, just a really nice guy.
Yep, that sums Jack up pretty well! It was awesome to watch Jack do his thing in person at the workshop.
Great to see your well Jack and doing alright 👍 Peach Guitars is still awesome but I’d say your definitely missed from their channel!!
Jack is a hugely talented player
He absolutely is - it was a joy to watch the entire clinic/workshop from close up!
Well done.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the interveiw!
👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers matey!
Rich, do you live around Saarland? I wanted to come to the Six Four Event but could not make it. Cheers
Yes, I'm not far from Saarbrücken! Shame you couldn't make it, as it was an excellent event.
@@RichWordsMusic I live in Trier, 1 hour drive from the store. :) Cool place
@@denmut We're pretty close then. I've been to Trier, lovely place! Hopefully catch you at a future six + four event 😎
Jack's face looks like Spiderman Tobey Maguire..
He does have a bit of the superhero look about him... and you can hear that in his playing too ;)
Needs to work on Gibson’s TH-cam channel. Dude is a mega talent and they need to upgrade their demos.
If he had been born 30 years earlier he cool have been Andy Timmons.
Peach is rubbish since you left
Jack is a pretty tough act to follow!
Jack in the land of the “Sausage!”
That's the Wurst comment I've had today! Sorry 😉
