I believe she and her band were inducted into the Song Writer's Hall of Fame this past June in NYC. The world is hoping for a new album soon- I am hoping it will be a double or triple album set since she hasn't released any music in over 10 years!

Stuart Matthewman, longtime Sade band member, was called to help Maxwell with the production and arrangement in order for the album to get the record label's clearance because the label initially did not think Maxwell's debut album was polished enough to be released. Later, Maxwell appeared on Sweetback's (Sade band's alter-ego ) album.

When some of the original members of Pride quit the group, including the lead singer - Sade Adu took over the group, became the lead singer and the group decided to change its band's name to Sade. Sade represents the entire band not just the singer. Now, Sade (the band's alter ego) is Sweetback. When Sade Adu went on a hiatus, the band decided to keep working on music using the name Sweetback. As one of the other commenters stated, when Adu is present the band is named Sade - when Adu is not present the band is named Sweetback. ❤
