    Neighborhood Car Reviews gives you an alternative look at the already impressive list of car videos that are online. What we do is a first-person walk-around of the car. We show features and details that are on the particular model being shown. Performance data, safety equipment and the like are usually not shown due to the already enormous amount of videos that cover the aforementioned topics.
    We like to cover everything from classics to high-end and everything in between.

    I have had a Jeep Renegade since sept 26, 2015. it's jeep yellow and a trailhawk loaded. (No removeable roof) didn't want one. Never owned a Jeep (my son has a 2000 wrangler I drove for about 5 years) love the Jeep concept. This one is now 27 months old and has 23K on the odo, I have nothing bad to say about this small SUV other then it has had the normal things that you get with a new model, recalls and adjustments that were needed and small little repairs they made but other than that it runs well and is a very well thought out SUV. My wife & I love the car and will get a 2018 as long as they still come in Yellow! I had read that the car was slow and underperforms on the expressway. This is HOGWASH! It has 180 HP and runs like my 99 corvette did. I fly with this SUV on acceleration passing everything from a light or passing on the HWY. Maybe mine is a freak but that 9 speed Trans really performs better than expected. Here we are 2&1/2 years later and we are still in love with this car. I hope this review helps with making a decision on whether to buy one or not. I say go for it! I also own a Chevy Silverado & an Avalanche that we keep parked until we need a truck, they are 4 wheel drive also but the jeep renegade works well for us around town and on the highway.

    What this missed was ranking the features for people looking to find out for example is the navigation/media in the deserthawk the top of the line or the worse one. Where does it sit in jeep navigation? Where in touch scree? What is lower anything higher? Where does the Beats premium sound weigh in? People need a review that in informs them what I get in this car that is higher end. People need to know is there a better navigation and what those other features might be. Thanks good review.

      It does. You are correct. I thought I mentioned that in the video, being substantial over the standard Trailhawk, and it looks like I forgot to mention it!

    Can a person who's around 5'8" fold the back seats and lay over them and the trunk to sleep in a sleeping bag? Is the jeep's trunk long enough to accommodate that?

    Are all the 2017 renegades equipped with remote start up or just the desert hawk models?

    • @BrendanMacWade
      @BrendanMacWade 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a common option available on any automatic transmission Renegade, I believe.

  • @wiibaron

    Empty buttons on the Steering wheel and 5 on the mid dash stack. What is missing? The SW buttons are usually the radar cruise on Mopars, Right?

    • @NeighborhoodCarReviews
      @NeighborhoodCarReviews  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The blanks on the steering wheel are for the Adaptive Cruise. Since the steering wheel is shared with other FCA products, and not available on the Renegade in the US, for whatever reason, that is why they are blank. The blank buttons on the dash are for the Advanced Technology Group and have buttons for ParkSense, Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Warning. Looking and www.jeep.co.uk, there are other buttons shown on the dash that I can't make out that fill the other two spots, and they depict a Renegade with Adaptive Cruise. That is the best I can give you, unfortunately.

    Don't know much about cars but what does the 9 speed auto transmission do? Like do the 9 speeds make the car go faster or something

    • @NeighborhoodCarReviews
      @NeighborhoodCarReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, it definitely doesn’t make the car go faster. Basically. It’s how the transmission is geared and in this case, it’s for the sake of fuel economy. 1-6 are basically normal gears. 7-8 are overdrive gears and 9, which the car rarely goes into unless cruising around 70 or above, and that’s a super overdrive. I’ve driven a Renegade on the interstate at 80mph in 9th gear and the engine was only turning 1,100 rpm. The car was getting over 30mpg at that point.
      My wife and I had a 2015 Dodge Charger 100th Anniversary Edition, and it had the 3.6V6 and 8-speed auto, and on Highway drives, we’d run 75-80 and get almost 30 mpg. Sometimes better. On our trip to Florida from Indiana, we were averaging 500 miles per tank of fuel. So, in a nutshell, it’s geared for the sake of fuel economy, not speed.

    is the back sit comfortable

    • @NeighborhoodCarReviews
      @NeighborhoodCarReviews  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not too terrible. It's a small SUV, so rear seat leg room is a bit tight, and if you do not have MySky, headroom is decent. MySky takes a little of that away, but overall, it is ok.
