The VERY FIRST THING i ever knew about Bleach was Grimmjow's character design. I knew nothing about Bleach, but I saw this character everywhere and eventually learned he came from this series. That's how you know his character deisgn is goated
First thing a I ever Saw from Bleach was on Tunami, it was Renji's bankai in hueco mundo, it looked so different interesting I started watching Bleach on Tunami as much as I could. I fell in live with it immediatly.
@@Honest_Mids_Masherto add onto this, Kubo has actually said that, for as much as even he didn't like the Hellverse movie, the fight between Ulqiora and Vasto Lorde Ichigo is far closer to what he wanted to create than what was put to paper in the manga.

It's really cute that you used that volume cover when suggesting that Grimmjow could be the protagonist of a different story That specific cover emulates one of the covers of Kubo's previous manga, Zombie Powder, where the protagonist is in a very similar pose.
my list would be very similar to yours, if not the same. the one change i know i'd make is that Grimmjow is my number 1. he's my boy, i love him. he's in my top 10 overall bleach characters. he's just so cool. i love his rizz, the man is just oozing with charisma. i love the way he fights, how he picks his opponents apart and brutally murders folks. i love his rivalry with Ichigo. this is key for me. Barragan is cool and all. i respect the King, don't get me wrong. but he has no relationship with Ichigo. in fact, very few of the Espada do. and that's fine. but my god. i mentioned that i love the way he fights. and i want to expand on that a little. i love how he fights in stages. progressing from hand-to-hand combat with Ceros, to his swordsmanship, back to hand-to-hand in his release mode. but with more techniques and an unrelenting ferocity. most of the espada fight like this, but it happens too quickly. Grimmjow takes his time, and that works to his advantage because of all his charm
WE ARE SO UP. Espada are such a gr8 group of characters, just wish we got more time with some of them rly. Arrancar Saga is long but the climax you're currently in is so worth all the build-up.

Yami should've remained as Number 10 and had a fight with Chad, and Byakuya and Kenpachi could either have been kept out of the Aizen fight either by being taken out by Ulquiorra or Hollow Ichigo, or they could've tagged along and get taken out with the other Captains

Mine list would go probably like this: - Ulqiorra (hands down the Best written espada imo) - Starrk (in terms of character I like Starrk probably the most, he is also complex character and if it was possible I'd love to see him more in the future cause we didnt see him die Just like Grimmjow and he returned in TYBW arc) - Nelliel (I Just love my gal) - Grimmjow (i love him for same reasons as you do, but im more fan of calm characters) - Szayelaporro (imo hes not much worse character than Mayuri imo, and mayuri is the goat) - Barragan (I love idea of a character, but really nothing more) - Nnoitra (hes giving me mixed feelings in the good way, but hes not as interesting as those above him imo) - Harribel (besides Nel, she is the most human like in the espada. I love her relationship with her Fraction and her design) - Aaroniero (hes definitely an interwsting character, but I dont really like him. Hes here Just cause of his płot twist that he is the one who killed Kaien and that he pushed Rukia to overcome her past and Rukia is my favorite girl soo there Goes that) - Zommari (Hes boring and underdeveloped, he could be more interesting if he didnt get the worst matchup possible against Byakuya) - Yammy (i hate this guy and also the fact that he wasted potential to Ulqiorra be Espada 0 when he pops out Segunda Etapa. Maybe bias speaking but that would be great considering how Ulquiorra tried to let Ichigo down even by showing that he is not the strongest, I dont like Yammy at all) - Luppi (fuck Luppi, Yammy at least has purpose in the story wich I cant say about Luppi)
I find it hilarious that if you really think about it, as an espada member he is technically Barragan's senior as Aarronniero is the ONLY member left of the first rendition of the espada
My headcanon is that the flashback of Aizen coming to Barragan that we saw in the manga was just a war declaration, and the real battle between them happened later, with Aizen bringing in the original generation of Espada and Barragan killing all of them except for Aaroniero
i absolutely adore halibel and love her powers and design so much but i feel kubo really dropped the ball on her, it was nice to have a little backstory with the anime but her position as the new ruler of hueco mundo or whatever im hoping gives us a chance to see a lot more of her in the future
1: Starrk. A fascinating and likable character who Kubo didn't give us enough time with. Easily my favorite design and the only Espada who honestly Inwas kinda rooting for to win. Kyoraku is a great character, but I love Starrk. 2: Nelliel. I really went back and forth here, since I really love the number 3 character here as well, but at the end of the day, I would enjoy spending a day with Nel, so she takes the cake. She's noble, honorable, fun, exciting. Excellent character. 3: Grimmjow: I enjoy every second Grimmjow is on screen and I love how Kubo uses him to show that 1 note, fighter types can still be deep and interesting. His rivalry with Ichigo is my favorite in the series. 4: Hallibel. A big jump down from my top 3, but I really like her relationship with her Fraccion and she seems to carry on some of Nel's honor. Her fight with Hitsugaya was also a lot of fun. 5: Ulquiorra. A part of me wants to dislike Ulquiorra, but I can't deny his story is intricate and well told. His interactions with Orihime is good. I just grt frustrated with his Nihilism. 6: Nnoitra. I absolutely hate this guy, but I LOVE hating him. Watching Kenpachi just bulldoze through him is fantastic, and he is such a disgusting, hateful pig that it's easy to get a lot of joy out of watching him crash and burn. 7: Barragan. I know you absolutely love him, and that's fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, no matter how wrong 😅. Seriously though, Barragan is terrifying and his fight with Soi Fon and Hachi is good...but also kind of feels wasted on him? Like, Hachi is a good opponent for him, but Soi Fon feels like she doesn't play off him very well. He insists on his rulership, but the fact that Starrk even exists is a testiment to how deluded he was even before Aizen showed up. He feels less like a king and more like a cult leader, insisting he's the king of all Hueco Mundo while really most Hollows probably don't even care, they just stay out of his territory. He feels someone who was given ungodly power and had no idea what to do with it, and that's just sad. 8: Szayelapppro. His fight with Mayuri is fun, his design is great, but I hate this guy. He's just psychotic and evil and unlike Mayuri none of his crazy science ever seems to go anywhere. He does lead to Mayuri's speach on perfection which is one of my favorite moments in Bleach or any anime. So I can give him that. 9: Zommari. A character who I think could have benefitted from more time with him. He almost has an interesting idea, with the priest-like devotion to Aizen and his insistance that the Shinigami have no right to kill them. But there just isn't ebough time to do anything with that idea. Kinda falls flat because of it. I even think his Resurrection COULD work, if they played with the idea of, unlike all the others he gives somrthing up in that form and sometimes his sealed form is better for certain fights. He's insanely fast in base form, and much more of a physical fighter, so when he transforms he has to adopt an entirely new fighting style with no speed and all hax. That could be cool theoretically, but it's not really explored. 10: Yammi. Utterly boring. Should bave stayed 10, should have been a final fight for Chad. Or even keep the 0th Espada thing but have Chad still beat him after realizing "This guy has ungodly raw power but doesn't know how to use it..." and wins after making his exhaust his power. As it stands he's entirely uninteresting. 11: Luppi. I hate this little human equivalent of a kidney stone as mych as I do Nnoitra. The difference is I don't enjoy hating him like Nnoitra. I cheered when Grimmjow killed him. 12: Aaronierro. This monster is heinous and evil and the way he manipulated Rukia's pain and dons the face of her former idol is unforgivable. I absolutely hate him. I do think he's great for the story and enjoyed his fight, but I HATE his guts.

@@agamotto5354 I would recommend watching the anime first and then reading the manga because the anime is arguably better then the manga and doing both will be very confusing for you since they change a lot a stuff that happens from the manga either way I just want to see you react to bleach's best arc.

My favorites will always be Starrk and Harribel since despite their power and skills, they are the most human among the Espada. Be it truly caring for the lives of their Fracciones or not wishing senseless bloodshed they would be better off with Ichigo and his friends. Ulquiorra's discovery of the heart with Orihime's guidance is a character arc all on its own even if it ended in tragedy.
You forgot Nel who only ever wanted her humanity back as an arrancar and Roka who is hueco mundos exclusive healer. Only she could’ve asked the humans for help at the Quincy assault. Nel has a deep and genuine connection to her home and fellow arrancar.
@Grayson-Winchester Ah yes, forgot about her. Another golden aspect of her character is her essentially being a big 'sister' of sorts to Nnoitra, pitying him and disliking his extremes. She's the light to his very dark shadow.

Before starting the video: "I have a feeling that a certain skeleton will be number one" 💀👑 Anyway, my personal top3 are Starrk, Ulquiorra and Nnoitra, on the other hand for me there's no one worse than Yammi, not even Zommari and Luppi. But I have to agree on the intro, if you included even the Privaron, Don Panini would have taken all the upper spots 🇮🇹🥪 (even Cirucci wasn't bad)
This is total headcanon but its why Yammy isn't at the bottom of my list, I like to think that with Kukkapuro walking up to him in his dying moments he had felt some form of peace at his end, finally being able to let go of some of his anger and hatred.
If I were to rank them, I think my list would probably be: 12: Luppi. Obviously. 11: Zommari. Same reasons as you, which is a shame since I actually really love his outfit. 10: Yami. Where. He. Belongs. 9: Szayelaporo. He was fine, but there wasn't anything about him that particularly stood out. 8: Aaroniero. Don't get me wrong, I love his fight with Rukia, but that's mainly because of the situation, Kaien and Rukia herself, not really because of Aaroniero. He was perfect for his role, but while I do like him, the character himself wasn't particularly special. 7: Nnoitra. None of his scenes were particularly memorable in comparison to many of the others, but he was overall a much more interesting and compelling character than everyone bellow him on the list, and he did still have a couple pretty cool moments. I definitely like him, just not quite as much as the ones above. 6: Harribel. She didn't get much attention or development unfortunately, but I really liked the little we got from her, mainly because of just how unique and different her personality and core values are from almost any other Hollow, which is given even more weight by her being 3rd. She didn't get much attention, but despite that she was one of the ones I most wanted to see more of, because she looked so promising. It's also why she's one of the Espada who I reflect most on (not as much as Starrk of course, but still), imagining what she could have been if only she had the screentime. 5: Grimmjow. For all the reasons you stated. I just didn't resonate with him as much as you did, which is why he places lower for me, but I still very much like him. 4: Nelliel. Ironically like the canon power levels, there's a pretty huge gap between 5th and 4th places here, and Nel's the first of the Big Four. It's complicated to describe why I love her, since out of all these characters she probably has the biggest variety of reasons for why I enjoyed her. I think one good way to summarize my main feelings on her is that out of every single Espada, she's THE one I get the most excited for when on screen, because I always feel like she makes things so much more interesting. 3: Baraggan: He's simply TOO cool. That's it. There isn't much logical or thematical reasoning, this man is simply just awesome. Jokes aside though, the main reason he places so high is that Respira is, in my opinion, the most interesting ability of any Arrancar in a practical and mechanical sense. Starrk's wolves or Aaroniero's absorption might have more thematic value, but nothing gets my inner writer's gears turning as much as Respira does, and this kind of thing was always a highlight of Bleach as a whole for me. 2: Ulquiorra: What happens when you're just as cool as Baraggan if not more, AND have more interesting themes and character development? You rank above him is what happens. 1: Coyote Starrk: I absolutely love his entire loneliness theme and how perfectly it ties into literally everything about the character, his personality is my favorite of any Espada, and he almost matches even Ulquiorra and Baraggan in how cool he is. I've always been a huge fan of psychoanalyzing characters, and he was one of the most rewarding ones to look at in the series. And besides all that, his backstory and the entire dynamic with Lilynette are also a lot more unique and interesting than most of the others. Anyways, I could go on and on about each of these (especially the top 4), but I'm trying to keep this brief and not make a full video like you did, so I'll leave it here.

Yami was actually really well used until the whole number zero fiasco. I really like how they introduced him and even when he came back after getting his arm chopped off like he still seems dangerous to Chad and other non Captain level characters. I really thought he was an interesting character until the end when they jumped the shark and made him number zero or whatever.

Ulquiorra is just so cool in pretty much every way, his design, his character including his kind of developement, he so incredibly memorable to me and he would even deserve rank1 imo tbh, but im afraid hes stuck on 2 for now 1: Szayelaporro: Idek why, but i love this guy soooo much! Hes such a cool "mad scientist", the way he introduced himself against renji, how he kinda toyed with them and went to change his clothes again after uryus sprenge, hes the perfect amount of sass and coolness to me, his design is also amazing, normal aswell as resureccion, definetly the most handsome in his base form to me. hes just awesome, my fav espada and overall one of my fav fav bleach characters in general!
I watched the full bring arc before watching the full series, after the full bring arc I started the series from the beginning and got to the Bount filler arc, I need to finish the series.
I think yammy and zommari could have been badass and cool if handle better zommari base design is dope af he is basically a witch doctor idk what kubo was thinking with that resurrection design Mann I wish he spent more time on him and yammy I think kubo had bigger plans with yammy he just ran out of time even though technically yammy second form technically isn’t segunda I believe kubo fully intended on making it segunda. ….. spoilers there is a character in tybw and I think kubo wanted to do a similar direction with yammy
If you were to think about which Espada did horrible enough things as a human to deserve hell before becoming Hollow, who would you choose Mr. Agamotto? I mean you know from the first arc that whoever character does horrible things after becoming Hollow are purified on getting killed by soul reapers or should I say those horrible things are not counted to decide whether that character deserves to end up in hell or not. Only those characters who did horrible things as human before becoming Hollow are the ones who will be cast into hell.
I’d say Szayelaporro, Aaroneiro, or maybe Nnoitora seemed to be the ones that relished hurting people or had the least problems with hurting people so maybe they went to Hell after idk but of the Espada, those would be my guesses
My rankings worst to best Yammi Zommari Luppi (because at least during a brief moment he seemed like somewhat of a threat to characters unlike yami or zommari) Szayel aporro Nnoitra Barragan (sorry, cool design and powers is where it stops for me, i do not care for him, his fracciones or his fight) Aaroniero arruruerie (i had to write this full name, would've been higher if he was better at pretending, could've squeezed a bit more drama out of rukia) Hallibel (mostly because of her relationship with her fracciones. If only she could have had barragán's screen time) _____________________________________________ From here it actually gets kinda tough for me Nel Ulquiorra Grimmjow (completely undeserved to be number 2 if I'm being honest but I just love every single panel he's in, his backstory, his dynamics with Ichigo so) AND THE (real) KING, my favorite, stark, they're perfect, stark can do no wrong, they could launch a nuke and I would probably conclude whoever took it had it coming (Also how come every "current" espada has a double letter {NN}oitora ya[MM]i, even stark has liline{TT}e )
Really feels like Luppi was written to be the most upsetting and annoying character--the catharsis for Grimmjow to murder him is pretty high. I haven't met a soul that liked him but gotta give Kubo credit for making him the worst.
Most of the things I enjoy about Yammy comes from his interactions with Ulquiorra. Number 0 was an asspull, and he really doesn't stand that well on his own, in my opinion
Zommari's only noteworthy moment is when he started yapping about how arrogant it was for soul reapers to slay hollows as he asks who was it that gave them the right to do so? Yammy's only purpose is to stall Byakuya and Kenpachi there is nothing more to it. He's just a big dumb wall. Oof that Harribel at 9 hurts especially since she's my second favorite Espada but yeah her fight was lackluster and didn't make anyone look good or impressive. Szaelapporo I actually would've swapped with Arroniero Nnoitora is easily one of my top 5 favorite Espadas easily the most underrated Espada in terms of writing plus that Ressureccion was sick Ulqiora really just had the most screentime and one of the biggest character arcs in the entire show and it's extremely popular for a reason Starrk at 3 is fair enough he's easily my favorite Espada for soo many reasons and themes represents. Lonely at the top, lone wolf, his best friend being himself. Grimmjow at 2 is definitely a surprise lmao I was indifferent towards him up to his final fight Barragan at 1 I was expecting tbh lmao.

It's simple, Zommari the lowest. Only shows up to be destroyed by Byakuya. He's so underdeveloped that his most known feature is his joint palms pause🙏

Damn very cool, didnt know that our ranking of the espadas is that similar. Here is my ranking: 1. Barragan (he was the perfect arrancar king. Excactly what I want when I think about a leader of the hollow species. From his behaviour to his designs (normal and especially the release form) and powers. I love all of him, he is easily in my top 5 rankings of all the bleach characters) 2. Grimmjow (I love that he was a rogue and always does what he wants, he wont let anybody talk down on him and yet has to do anothers dirty work. Also was the only espada that had a meaninfful relationship to the mc (besides Nel). His character was oozing coolness and I really loved his release form, such a cool pantherlike design. all in all a great character) 3. Nnoitra (imop the best designwise of them all. His giant sword is no doubt the most memorable hollow weapon and his mantis form makes his weapons look even better. Also personalitywise he was given a very interesting character that works well in making the hollows more believable, I really liked his relation to the others and especially Nelliel) 4. Nelliel (speaking of Nelliel. I liked her more kindhearted personality as an exception for the hollow species and she was the only other espada that really had a true connection to the mc. Her kid form is adorable and there are funny jokes invoving that form. Also her reveal as an espada was cool and I really like her goatlike release form. So all in all a good and memorable character) 5. Starkk (his tragic backstory elevated him in my personal ranking. Cool character with a unique power and fighting style. I like him and his relaxed view on the conflict and his role in it. Also I think there was some mutual respect between him and aizen what I always appreciate. there is something more that I want to say about him but I wont because that would be spoilers) 6. Ulquillora (will keep it shorter for the other espadas. Liked his connection and dialogues with orihime, his personality as well as backstory, 2nd release looks phenomenal) 7. Szayelaporro (interesting character, really liked his abilities and his arrogance. Cool villain that had the perfect match in mayuri. Had a cool and memorable design) 8. Aaroniero (very cool matchup against rukia. His impersonation tactics and mindgames were great to see. Imop very interesting premise with his set of abilities. could have shown more of that but his eventual demise was great characterbuilding for rukia. So very much appreciated character) 9. Yammy (very good introduction, contrasting his personality to ulquilloras. Like his simple brutish character. Worked perfectly well as an hollow villain. also I kinda like his designs (his release forms too)) 10. Luppi (I like him, he worked well as a villain. I want to dislike them and he did very good in that regard. Also managed to elevate grimmjows character and took an L against Toshiro, that is always welcomed. So yeah he is very memorable and not easily forgettable character, perfectly fine) 11. Harribel (very boring and bland character (personality, powers and release form were very meh imop). Only thing about her that I liked is that she got defeated by Toshiro, as I said that is always appreciated and Toshiro had actually a great showing of his abilities in that fight) 12. Zommari (the moment he entered his release form, he lost all my favour. Sadly his powers and design didnt really worked compared to his initial appearance. More memorable than harribels release form design for sure but still didnt vibe with it at all. Only thing that made it tolerable imop was that Byakuya got a nice little fight and a bit character building with rukia)
Yea one of the reason Nnoitora is hated is because he’s misunderstood, ppl don’t pay much attention and just see the slightest thing and make a conclusion. Most ppl think Nnoitora is a mysoginst and hates women being stronger than males but that ain’t right. He knows Harribel is higher up and stronger than him but when they had an interaction, he didn’t care at all. It’s just he strictly hated Nelliel and wanted an excuse. Also one of the reasons I think he’s such an evil and bad person is so he wants to get into fights and die against a great warrior. He do say that he wants to die in battle
Big thing with your king he def doesn't deserve the number 1 spot in power since Aizen kinda prove with Soi Fongs ability, if your Reatsu outclasses your opponent their abilities mean nothing so its implied even if breathed on both Staark and Aizen would just go, dude get a breath mint! or something like that. Now coolness factor yeah Barrigan is the best designed as far as looks go. Id say Starrk number two and oddly enough Lup.... just kidding the third would be Nnoitra.
Honestly my main issue with zommamari is the fact he already had a bit of a race-y character design, but when he goes into his res... His lips... grow??? Why did they grow to the point of looking like a Caricature??? Kubo designs AMAZING black characters, and has prior; so why is Zommamari... Racist???

It’s weird how # 6 and 4 were farrrrrrrrr faster and far stronger then any other espadas by far. They tried to make it seem like ichigo was weak even tho in his base form with no hollification he could have beat every captain with ease..
The problem with Yami was that he was a very poorly explained DBZBroly. The truth of the 0 Espada still eludes you, one day you'll learn what 0 really means.

my list would be very similar to yours, if not the same. the one change i know i'd make is that Grimmjow is my number 1. he's my boy, i love him. he's in my top 10 overall bleach characters. he's just so cool. i love his rizz, the man is just oozing with charisma. i love the way he fights, how he picks his opponents apart and brutally murders folks.
i love his rivalry with Ichigo. this is key for me. Barragan is cool and all. i respect the King, don't get me wrong. but he has no relationship with Ichigo. in fact, very few of the Espada do. and that's fine. but my god.
i mentioned that i love the way he fights. and i want to expand on that a little. i love how he fights in stages. progressing from hand-to-hand combat with Ceros, to his swordsmanship, back to hand-to-hand in his release mode. but with more techniques and an unrelenting ferocity. most of the espada fight like this, but it happens too quickly. Grimmjow takes his time, and that works to his advantage because of all his charm

- Starrk (in terms of character I like Starrk probably the most, he is also complex character and if it was possible I'd love to see him more in the future cause we didnt see him die Just like Grimmjow and he returned in TYBW arc)
- Nelliel (I Just love my gal)
- Grimmjow (i love him for same reasons as you do, but im more fan of calm characters)
- Szayelaporro (imo hes not much worse character than Mayuri imo, and mayuri is the goat)
- Barragan (I love idea of a character, but really nothing more)
- Nnoitra (hes giving me mixed feelings in the good way, but hes not as interesting as those above him imo)
- Harribel (besides Nel, she is the most human like in the espada. I love her relationship with her Fraction and her design)
- Aaroniero (hes definitely an interwsting character, but I dont really like him. Hes here Just cause of his płot twist that he is the one who killed Kaien and that he pushed Rukia to overcome her past and Rukia is my favorite girl soo there Goes that)
- Zommari (Hes boring and underdeveloped, he could be more interesting if he didnt get the worst matchup possible against Byakuya)
- Yammy (i hate this guy and also the fact that he wasted potential to Ulqiorra be Espada 0 when he pops out Segunda Etapa. Maybe bias speaking but that would be great considering how Ulquiorra tried to let Ichigo down even by showing that he is not the strongest, I dont like Yammy at all)
- Luppi (fuck Luppi, Yammy at least has purpose in the story wich I cant say about Luppi)
I find it hilarious that if you really think about it, as an espada member he is technically Barragan's senior as Aarronniero is the ONLY member left of the first rendition of the espada

My headcanon is that the flashback of Aizen coming to Barragan that we saw in the manga was just a war declaration, and the real battle between them happened later, with Aizen bringing in the original generation of Espada and Barragan killing all of them except for Aaroniero
i absolutely adore halibel and love her powers and design so much but i feel kubo really dropped the ball on her, it was nice to have a little backstory with the anime but her position as the new ruler of hueco mundo or whatever im hoping gives us a chance to see a lot more of her in the future

1: Starrk. A fascinating and likable character who Kubo didn't give us enough time with. Easily my favorite design and the only Espada who honestly Inwas kinda rooting for to win. Kyoraku is a great character, but I love Starrk.
2: Nelliel. I really went back and forth here, since I really love the number 3 character here as well, but at the end of the day, I would enjoy spending a day with Nel, so she takes the cake. She's noble, honorable, fun, exciting. Excellent character.
3: Grimmjow: I enjoy every second Grimmjow is on screen and I love how Kubo uses him to show that 1 note, fighter types can still be deep and interesting. His rivalry with Ichigo is my favorite in the series.
4: Hallibel. A big jump down from my top 3, but I really like her relationship with her Fraccion and she seems to carry on some of Nel's honor. Her fight with Hitsugaya was also a lot of fun.
5: Ulquiorra. A part of me wants to dislike Ulquiorra, but I can't deny his story is intricate and well told. His interactions with Orihime is good. I just grt frustrated with his Nihilism.
6: Nnoitra. I absolutely hate this guy, but I LOVE hating him. Watching Kenpachi just bulldoze through him is fantastic, and he is such a disgusting, hateful pig that it's easy to get a lot of joy out of watching him crash and burn.
7: Barragan. I know you absolutely love him, and that's fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, no matter how wrong 😅. Seriously though, Barragan is terrifying and his fight with Soi Fon and Hachi is good...but also kind of feels wasted on him? Like, Hachi is a good opponent for him, but Soi Fon feels like she doesn't play off him very well. He insists on his rulership, but the fact that Starrk even exists is a testiment to how deluded he was even before Aizen showed up. He feels less like a king and more like a cult leader, insisting he's the king of all Hueco Mundo while really most Hollows probably don't even care, they just stay out of his territory. He feels someone who was given ungodly power and had no idea what to do with it, and that's just sad.
8: Szayelapppro. His fight with Mayuri is fun, his design is great, but I hate this guy. He's just psychotic and evil and unlike Mayuri none of his crazy science ever seems to go anywhere. He does lead to Mayuri's speach on perfection which is one of my favorite moments in Bleach or any anime. So I can give him that.
9: Zommari. A character who I think could have benefitted from more time with him. He almost has an interesting idea, with the priest-like devotion to Aizen and his insistance that the Shinigami have no right to kill them. But there just isn't ebough time to do anything with that idea. Kinda falls flat because of it. I even think his Resurrection COULD work, if they played with the idea of, unlike all the others he gives somrthing up in that form and sometimes his sealed form is better for certain fights. He's insanely fast in base form, and much more of a physical fighter, so when he transforms he has to adopt an entirely new fighting style with no speed and all hax. That could be cool theoretically, but it's not really explored.
10: Yammi. Utterly boring. Should bave stayed 10, should have been a final fight for Chad. Or even keep the 0th Espada thing but have Chad still beat him after realizing "This guy has ungodly raw power but doesn't know how to use it..." and wins after making his exhaust his power. As it stands he's entirely uninteresting.
11: Luppi. I hate this little human equivalent of a kidney stone as mych as I do Nnoitra. The difference is I don't enjoy hating him like Nnoitra. I cheered when Grimmjow killed him.
12: Aaronierro. This monster is heinous and evil and the way he manipulated Rukia's pain and dons the face of her former idol is unforgivable. I absolutely hate him. I do think he's great for the story and enjoyed his fight, but I HATE his guts.
I like your point on having Chad beat Yammy. It would be poetic and would give Chad a tremendous win that he needs and deserves.
harribel is actually my favorite espada, i love sharks, and her family core, and her role as the caretaker

@@agamotto5354 I would recommend watching the anime first and then reading the manga because the anime is arguably better then the manga and doing both will be very confusing for you since they change a lot a stuff that happens from the manga either way I just want to see you react to bleach's best arc.
@@agamotto5354 For TYBW, read the manga first in full. Then go back and watch the anime. The anime is better but does leave out some things. Reading the manga first will make you appreciate the anime more when you watch it.

My favorites will always be Starrk and Harribel since despite their power and skills, they are the most human among the Espada. Be it truly caring for the lives of their Fracciones or not wishing senseless bloodshed they would be better off with Ichigo and his friends. Ulquiorra's discovery of the heart with Orihime's guidance is a character arc all on its own even if it ended in tragedy.
You forgot Nel who only ever wanted her humanity back as an arrancar and Roka who is hueco mundos exclusive healer. Only she could’ve asked the humans for help at the Quincy assault. Nel has a deep and genuine connection to her home and fellow arrancar.
@Grayson-Winchester Ah yes, forgot about her. Another golden aspect of her character is her essentially being a big 'sister' of sorts to Nnoitra, pitying him and disliking his extremes. She's the light to his very dark shadow.
Both of them are great. I would’ve put Harribel higher on this list
@@manuelacosta9463 Nel embodies a lot of the best of Hollows, while Nnoitra embodies some of the worst of Hollows. But, fittingly, they are among the most human of all the Espada, and their stories are very compelling.

This is total headcanon but its why Yammy isn't at the bottom of my list, I like to think that with Kukkapuro walking up to him in his dying moments he had felt some form of peace at his end, finally being able to let go of some of his anger and hatred.
If I were to rank them, I think my list would probably be:
12: Luppi. Obviously.
11: Zommari. Same reasons as you, which is a shame since I actually really love his outfit.
10: Yami. Where. He. Belongs.
9: Szayelaporo. He was fine, but there wasn't anything about him that particularly stood out.
8: Aaroniero. Don't get me wrong, I love his fight with Rukia, but that's mainly because of the situation, Kaien and Rukia herself, not really because of Aaroniero. He was perfect for his role, but while I do like him, the character himself wasn't particularly special.
7: Nnoitra. None of his scenes were particularly memorable in comparison to many of the others, but he was overall a much more interesting and compelling character than everyone bellow him on the list, and he did still have a couple pretty cool moments. I definitely like him, just not quite as much as the ones above.
6: Harribel. She didn't get much attention or development unfortunately, but I really liked the little we got from her, mainly because of just how unique and different her personality and core values are from almost any other Hollow, which is given even more weight by her being 3rd. She didn't get much attention, but despite that she was one of the ones I most wanted to see more of, because she looked so promising. It's also why she's one of the Espada who I reflect most on (not as much as Starrk of course, but still), imagining what she could have been if only she had the screentime.
5: Grimmjow. For all the reasons you stated. I just didn't resonate with him as much as you did, which is why he places lower for me, but I still very much like him.
4: Nelliel. Ironically like the canon power levels, there's a pretty huge gap between 5th and 4th places here, and Nel's the first of the Big Four. It's complicated to describe why I love her, since out of all these characters she probably has the biggest variety of reasons for why I enjoyed her. I think one good way to summarize my main feelings on her is that out of every single Espada, she's THE one I get the most excited for when on screen, because I always feel like she makes things so much more interesting.
3: Baraggan: He's simply TOO cool. That's it. There isn't much logical or thematical reasoning, this man is simply just awesome. Jokes aside though, the main reason he places so high is that Respira is, in my opinion, the most interesting ability of any Arrancar in a practical and mechanical sense. Starrk's wolves or Aaroniero's absorption might have more thematic value, but nothing gets my inner writer's gears turning as much as Respira does, and this kind of thing was always a highlight of Bleach as a whole for me.
2: Ulquiorra: What happens when you're just as cool as Baraggan if not more, AND have more interesting themes and character development? You rank above him is what happens.
1: Coyote Starrk: I absolutely love his entire loneliness theme and how perfectly it ties into literally everything about the character, his personality is my favorite of any Espada, and he almost matches even Ulquiorra and Baraggan in how cool he is. I've always been a huge fan of psychoanalyzing characters, and he was one of the most rewarding ones to look at in the series. And besides all that, his backstory and the entire dynamic with Lilynette are also a lot more unique and interesting than most of the others.
Anyways, I could go on and on about each of these (especially the top 4), but I'm trying to keep this brief and not make a full video like you did, so I'll leave it here.

4: Starrk: Pretty much on equal with baraggan for me, hes great. I loved his personality and his fight with shunsui especially with the conversations they had, he has wolves which is awesome to me and i felt pretty bad for him at the end, great character!
3: Grimmjow: As you mentioned he gave amazing rival vibes for ichigo, he had a cool resureccion, his aggressive nature felt so fitting for him, amazing design and his screentime definetly contributed to me liking him so much, top3 for you buddy!
2: Ulquiorra: 2much to say about this guy really. Ulquiorra is just so cool in pretty much every way, his design, his character including his kind of developement, he so incredibly memorable to me and he would even deserve rank1 imo tbh, but im afraid hes stuck on 2 for now

Hes such a cool "mad scientist", the way he introduced himself against renji, how he kinda toyed with them and went to change his clothes again after uryus sprenge, hes the perfect amount of sass and coolness to me, his design is also amazing, normal aswell as resureccion, definetly the most handsome in his base form to me. hes just awesome, my fav espada and overall one of my fav fav bleach characters in general!

I watched the full bring arc before watching the full series, after the full bring arc I started the series from the beginning and got to the Bount filler arc, I need to finish the series.
I think yammy and zommari could have been badass and cool if handle better zommari base design is dope af he is basically a witch doctor idk what kubo was thinking with that resurrection design Mann I wish he spent more time on him and yammy I think kubo had bigger plans with yammy he just ran out of time even though technically yammy second form technically isn’t segunda I believe kubo fully intended on making it segunda. ….. spoilers there is a character in tybw and I think kubo wanted to do a similar direction with yammy
If you were to think about which Espada did horrible enough things as a human to deserve hell before becoming Hollow, who would you choose Mr. Agamotto?
I mean you know from the first arc that whoever character does horrible things after becoming Hollow are purified on getting killed by soul reapers or should I say those horrible things are not counted to decide whether that character deserves to end up in hell or not. Only those characters who did horrible things as human before becoming Hollow are the ones who will be cast into hell.
I’d say Szayelaporro, Aaroneiro, or maybe Nnoitora seemed to be the ones that relished hurting people or had the least problems with hurting people so maybe they went to Hell after idk but of the Espada, those would be my guesses

Ulquiorra's arc is definitely tiny and massive at the same time. It's like how the difference between 0 and 1 can be bigger than 1 and a thousand.

Really feels like Luppi was written to be the most upsetting and annoying character--the catharsis for Grimmjow to murder him is pretty high.

Oof that Harribel at 9 hurts especially since she's my second favorite Espada but yeah her fight was lackluster and didn't make anyone look good or impressive.

Nnoitora is easily one of my top 5 favorite Espadas easily the most underrated Espada in terms of writing plus that Ressureccion was sick
Ulqiora really just had the most screentime and one of the biggest character arcs in the entire show and it's extremely popular for a reason
Starrk at 3 is fair enough he's easily my favorite Espada for soo many reasons and themes represents. Lonely at the top, lone wolf, his best friend being himself.
Grimmjow at 2 is definitely a surprise lmao I was indifferent towards him up to his final fight

Damn very cool, didnt know that our ranking of the espadas is that similar. Here is my ranking:
1. Barragan
(he was the perfect arrancar king. Excactly what I want when I think about a leader of the hollow species. From his behaviour to his designs (normal and especially the release form) and powers. I love all of him, he is easily in my top 5 rankings of all the bleach characters)
2. Grimmjow
(I love that he was a rogue and always does what he wants, he wont let anybody talk down on him and yet has to do anothers dirty work. Also was the only espada that had a meaninfful relationship to the mc (besides Nel). His character was oozing coolness and I really loved his release form, such a cool pantherlike design. all in all a great character)
3. Nnoitra
(imop the best designwise of them all. His giant sword is no doubt the most memorable hollow weapon and his mantis form makes his weapons look even better. Also personalitywise he was given a very interesting character that works well in making the hollows more believable, I really liked his relation to the others and especially Nelliel)
4. Nelliel
(speaking of Nelliel. I liked her more kindhearted personality as an exception for the hollow species and she was the only other espada that really had a true connection to the mc. Her kid form is adorable and there are funny jokes invoving that form. Also her reveal as an espada was cool and I really like her goatlike release form. So all in all a good and memorable character)
5. Starkk
(his tragic backstory elevated him in my personal ranking. Cool character with a unique power and fighting style. I like him and his relaxed view on the conflict and his role in it. Also I think there was some mutual respect between him and aizen what I always appreciate. there is something more that I want to say about him but I wont because that would be spoilers)
6. Ulquillora
(will keep it shorter for the other espadas. Liked his connection and dialogues with orihime, his personality as well as backstory, 2nd release looks phenomenal)
7. Szayelaporro
(interesting character, really liked his abilities and his arrogance. Cool villain that had the perfect match in mayuri. Had a cool and memorable design)
8. Aaroniero
(very cool matchup against rukia. His impersonation tactics and mindgames were great to see. Imop very interesting premise with his set of abilities. could have shown more of that but his eventual demise was great characterbuilding for rukia. So very much appreciated character)
9. Yammy
(very good introduction, contrasting his personality to ulquilloras. Like his simple brutish character. Worked perfectly well as an hollow villain. also I kinda like his designs (his release forms too))
10. Luppi
(I like him, he worked well as a villain. I want to dislike them and he did very good in that regard. Also managed to elevate grimmjows character and took an L against Toshiro, that is always welcomed. So yeah he is very memorable and not easily forgettable character, perfectly fine)
11.
Harribel (very boring and bland character (personality, powers and release form were very meh imop). Only thing about her that I liked is that she got defeated by Toshiro, as I said that is always appreciated and Toshiro had actually a great showing of his abilities in that fight)
12.
Zommari (the moment he entered his release form, he lost all my favour. Sadly his powers and design didnt really worked compared to his initial appearance. More memorable than harribels release form design for sure but still didnt vibe with it at all. Only thing that made it tolerable imop was that Byakuya got a nice little fight and a bit character building with rukia)
Yea one of the reason Nnoitora is hated is because he’s misunderstood, ppl don’t pay much attention and just see the slightest thing and make a conclusion. Most ppl think Nnoitora is a mysoginst and hates women being stronger than males but that ain’t right. He knows Harribel is higher up and stronger than him but when they had an interaction, he didn’t care at all. It’s just he strictly hated Nelliel and wanted an excuse. Also one of the reasons I think he’s such an evil and bad person is so he wants to get into fights and die against a great warrior. He do say that he wants to die in battle

Big thing with your king he def doesn't deserve the number 1 spot in power since Aizen kinda prove with Soi Fongs ability, if your Reatsu outclasses your opponent their abilities mean nothing so its implied even if breathed on both Staark and Aizen would just go, dude get a breath mint! or something like that. Now coolness factor yeah Barrigan is the best designed as far as looks go. Id say Starrk number two and oddly enough Lup.... just kidding the third would be Nnoitra.
Honestly my main issue with zommamari is the fact he already had a bit of a race-y character design, but when he goes into his res... His lips... grow??? Why did they grow to the point of looking like a Caricature??? Kubo designs AMAZING black characters, and has prior; so why is Zommamari... Racist???

It’s weird how # 6 and 4 were farrrrrrrrr faster and far stronger then any other espadas by far. They tried to make it seem like ichigo was weak even tho in his base form with no hollification he could have beat every captain with ease..
The problem with Yami was that he was a very poorly explained DBZBroly. The truth of the 0 Espada still eludes you, one day you'll learn what 0 really means.
