    Great Video, isn't there an option on the app which explains the reason behind a suggested move?

    Thanks for your review updates on this product.
    I’m really excited about ChessUp, I only wish it was a tournament size set like the DGT.
    I look forward to seeing more of your videos on this board.
    Thanks for sharing your experience & opinions.
    Cheers!!

    I want to thank you for all of the products you review. It is helpful when shopping, and you are clearly knowledgable. But I would like to respectfully offer a bit of constructive feedback - talk less, say more. You tend to present in a stream of consciousness mode which is unstructured, rambling, and nearly unending. Try doing an outline of the material before hand. Stick to the structure. Avoid all the unimportant conversational detail. If you can master this approach it will make you much more effective at communicating with your viewers. Thanks again for your hard work, it is appreciated. I do respect your expertise.

    Very informative video.
    Can you do a comparison video with the ChessUp board and the other electronic boards you have?

    That's a nice place to play chess and look out the window and people watch.

    I think it is tempting to rely to much on the suggestions and less on thinking. But maybe you can learn this way too.

    May I ask you which one you’ll suggest between ChessUp or a millenium chess genius? I know they’re quite different but I’m looking more for a chess computer mostly.

      I have this hoard. LOVE IT. Can take any complete rookie and turn them into an actual “human” opponent where they feel they can keep up.

    Please can you advise me which electronic board/s would be best for projecting the game on a screen or can be sent to a vision mix for live streaming. I have all the necessary live streaming kit, I just need to get the live game off the board / laptop / phone so I can overlay the chess board on the live images. Hope this makes sense. Thank you.

    How do you like this vs the chessnut air?

    • @62Serhildan
      @62Serhildan ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's what I want to know! I love the assissted playing option, but where I live I would have to pay almost the double of the price of chessnut air :/ I am not sure if it's worth it, it's not cheap

    in my opinion you have to choose the green or the blu suggestion not the yellow one

    are you able to play the AI in Lichess using the Chessup? it seems like that is what you are doing? (not playing a live person)

  • @pcraenme
    @pcraenme ปีที่แล้ว +1

    At ELO 2500 it does seem to move AI almost immediately. Shouldn’t it think a bit longer? I have played against the stockfish engine on a PC and as soon as there are no more book moves to play, the AI is taking much longer to think.

    • @AznDumbum
      @AznDumbum ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe it's because it's using either the mobile or cloud processing power.

    • @pcraenme
      @pcraenme ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AznDumbum I think the AI levels displayed in the app are not the real ELO strengths yet. I have won matches against the AI on AI levels where I should lose and also AI was making blunders it should not make on such high ELO levels. A created a post on the official forum about this a while ago and Jeff responded that they were still working on the AI levels in the app.

    • @AznDumbum
      @AznDumbum ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pcraenme that makes sense. I recall reading it but because it was old post, thought it was resolved.

    Al Su Chess, im planning on buying a certabo board (which you can use your own pieces)... which are the top 5 chess sets you have seen seen/bought? Thanks

    Great eBoard. However no Windows driver for now. The programmer that makes eBoard drivers (for free) on Windows OS will not create a driver for ChessUp. I hope ChessUp will collaborate with Chessbase so that their eBoard will be supported Fritz and Chessbase.

    How much is it( in euros)?

    Everything you said was great if you just want to play against the machine, but none of this will be helpful when playing someone online. The lights should not work online or it would be cheating. So as I said in your last video, this product is fine for beginners but not really helpful to a club player in my opinion. I like the idea of it and how it works though 👍

    • @AznDumbum
      @AznDumbum ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe the ChessNut would be more appropriate for you.
      Right now, there isn't any post analysis of offline or OTB games. They aren't stored well. Not even the PGN code. App itself, is underdeveloped, with core features not working on the Android.

  • @tamurhaq
    @tamurhaq ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So you can have assistance turned on while playing live? That would most certainly violate cheating rules on all platforms. Does the opponent know you're taking help?

    • @crestfallenwarrior6996
      @crestfallenwarrior6996 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Assistance is turned off for online play. The board/app does not allow it.

    • @UnwalledGarden
      @UnwalledGarden ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s a great feature for in person live play. One player can get one level of help while the other gets another level. Like handicaps is golf.

    • @markellis1777
      @markellis1777 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You don't have to use the phone app. Using the app gives you access to a stronger AI opponent, but the levels built into the board are strong enough to beat most of us!

    Is it possible to setup a position for analyze/training? Like if I want to play a end game with only two Kings and a pawn, and i want to play against the computer to learn how to win it, would that be possible to set up and play, or do I need to take all pieces in a game and get to the end game I want?

    • @markellis1777
      @markellis1777 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes there is. You can feed the app a "Fen" string which tells the app where each piece should start. Once all of the pieces are in place the board flashes and your ready to play beginning at the loaded position.

    All this promotes is more online chess cheating, no wonder 1600-1800 elo players have gotten stronger online but weaker OTB
