Jared Watney is a deckhand on the charter Yacht Arience and posts regularly and Yachts for Sale gives regular walkthroughs of all kinds and sizes of yachts.
According to a TH-camr who is deckhands/first mate on a 60m charter yacht, there are relaxing days when no guests are on board, while going to enjoy the ships water toys and swimming. Or when the ship is getting a refit, they are visiting the nearby towns. And when they are cruising, there are long days/nights, due to night shifts. During a cruise there's always somebody around 24h in shifts for safety reasons. A ship has to be also cleaned daily due to salt water spray during a cruise. That's what he said it is, in his case at least.
Hey I’m a 25 year old Male from England. I’ve been working as a landscaper for 6 years now and want to get into the whole sea life on working on a yacht as a deckhand. I manage to book my STCW course and will do my ENG 1 medical exam after. Any advise for someone as myself who has never worked out in sea or even worked at a deckhand for a yacht.

Turn the music off, else the crew is difficult to understand and the volume is too high when only the music plays compared to when the crew speaks.
