Totally disagree that the true Kendall is the douchey finance bro persona. Jeremy Strong has talked about it. All that cringey over-confidence he displays and the douchey attitude and the drug use, etc. are all just things he uses to try and fill the gaping void inside him. He has no fixed personality. Deep down he's just desperate to be loved, mostly by Logan, but when that doesn't work he looks for that love in women, the general public, anywhere he can get it. THAT is the core of his character. The way Jeremy put it was that the core of him is "the desire to gain love and respect, and how that can lead you to act contrary to your true nature."
"We must overthrow the culture of corruption that silences women" is hilarious. And yes Bryce, that's Ziwe, I love her. Exactlyyyy Zuff, people always overlook that Kendall shot first with that stunt at the meeting. Shiv's letter (prompted by Logan) cut deep but she got what needed to be done in the moment. Kendall refuses to listen to the women he hired for show and last episode he said Shiv's value comes down to her breasts. I don't think he's doing it for all the right reasons either. This show does an excellent job of reminding us that these are not good people and sometimes viewers get too comfortable.
as usual, kendall is his own worst enemy after his dad. it's like the vote of no confidence from season 1 - he got complacent and jeopardized his relationship with a board member who wasn't even an issue, then had to do damage control, which caused him to be late to the board meeting and severed his credibility and the whole operation collapsed. the comment about him reverting to infallible douche mode anytime he gets a single win is totally accurate. i also think this is the first time in his life he's had this level of raw power over his dad and he couldn't cope because it was so unprecedented in their relationship. great reaction as always, it's been so satisfying rewatching this masterpiece of a show with you guys!

Fyi, the only people who know about Kendall's accident are Logan, Marcia, Marcia's son, and Colin the bodyguard. Shiv, Roman, Connor, et al don't know about Kendall's involvement in the waiter's death, so there's nothing for them to reveal at this point. And Logan would never, ever reveal that he has any knowledge, even if it's to destroy Ken.
Ken is interesting to watch coz in many ways he is trying to mimich the behavior his dad and he just does not get it why it does not work...he can t grasp the fact that the path of climbing and staying on top are VERY different. Ken is mimicking the actions of sb who already is on top, but if you act like a ruler from a position of sb who is still green...you will soon start coming off as arrogant, rather than confident...delusional, rather than powerful. And it is easy to say why they are doing it - they are kids who have all the money, but no love, no power. Becoming a CEO in their eyes d give them what they are s desperately seeking - approval of their dad and power. The true tragedy is that the world is full of these kinda people. My rooting interest is in people watchign this show, coz it s a great societal commentary of what kinda people get to the top and what it takes, so I am rooting for the common folks to learn from this that dont seek external validation for the price of your soul - aint worth it.
