Hi Colin, great to see and hear you; we enjoy this a lot !! It brings back good memories of my first visit to Madison, and you playing some beautiful songs for us outside on the patio on a warm summer's eve. Greetings from Brussels! Adam and Eva, Nina, Aiko

Thanks again, Jeremy. I wish I've been doing more concerts-this is my only one so far. Maybe I'll do more soon.

A pleasure to see, since you haven't uploaded in a while. Hopefully this means there will be more coming! Thanks for the concert Colin, and stay safe.

Hi Colin. Thanks for the concert. I've been a fan ever since I found your banjo instruction videos (I'm a long-term beginner). I liked your playing on "Where the Wild Goose Grass Grows." It looked like a thumb--index--middle+ring--index pattern for the most part. Is this what Pete Seeger called the "Lullaby Lick?" I look forward to the next concert and more instructional videos.

Colin I am so sad that I missed this live but so happy that you did this! I just got a new banjo today after all of your hard lessons I think I finally earned a long neck Vega! I still have a lot to learn. How can I stay updated for your future concerts? I don't want to miss them!

Thanks, James! Well, I'm afraid there haven't been any more concerts! You think you'll have all the time in the world, and then 9 months go by. Belated congrats on the long neck Vega! If you want to be notified about new videos, you can subscribe to the channel. You should get notifications about new videos and announcements regarding future live shows, if there are any.

    Nice concert!
You should search for "Pastures of Plenty 1949" on YT. He plays it in a minor key finger picking style.

Wow, I've never heard that version before! It's the melody from "Pretty Polly"! I never noticed it before that the major version is a variation of the "Pretty Polly" melody. Very cool.

Colin, any chance you can do a video (or tab) on how you play this song. It has a really subtle, lilting swing to it. It sounds like Travis picking on a banjo; a steady thumb on the bass notes, with a few pinches and rolls thrown in. I know you're probably not following much of a plan, but if you could provide a few nuggets that would be much appreciated. Great voice by the way. At some parts, if I close my eyes, you sound very much like Pete.

I really enjoyed this. If you plan to do more, perhaps you could invest in some microphone/hardware/software combo upgrade to improve the audio quality and sync the audio to the video. In the meantime, I saved the audio track as an MP3 file for future listening in my car and play along with my 5-string. Thanks again! Marc
