This is probably my favourite lorry to drive, I've not had the luxury to drive everything on the road but out of the vehicles I work in, this is by far the best for me personally.
I used to hate this truck cause of the digital screens but turns out, not bad after all, I just hate the speedometer being gone and I think you can remove the speedometer and the MFD infotainment is removable aswell!
There should be another screen in front of the driver just above the steering wheel, horizontal wide that shows the image from a camera that is mounted on top of the windscreen and slightly downwards to show what is in front of the truck (and replace that mirror outside) And a wide screen up top of the windscreen to show images from a rear view camera mounted high on top of the rear of the truck/trailer to see what is close there behind...and with lines that show distance in meters...not only for parking but for driving and understanding how far others are behind the truck
Hello! How can you change the tacho/rpm/speed display? We one we got looks more like the one from a Volvo. This one has more analog looking display. Thanks!

ive talked to many truck drivers and still not found one who prefers it over normal mirrors. one of the biggest flaws is that you cant see the cameras from the driving position especially the right one cause its located over the right dor. so driving it off somewhere would be very easy.
WOW thats a really slow steering wheel...6 turns from lock to lock. you run out of breath while maneuvering. i've watched other videos where new trucks have twice as fast steering!!! i am not a truck driver, just enjoy truck videos

The interior looks like crap, it looks unfinished with the screens glued on, nothing fits or flows together, and the acres of cheap black plastic... They dropped the ball with this one :/
i drive an 2018 Mercedes Truck, and i have to put my sun visor with hands down. Im shocked that the new Truck doesnt have elctrical way to put the visor down .... poor mercedes!

If i owned a truck company i would never bought an mb, we have 1 mb here in Sweden (in our company), and it has brought so many problems we didnt even know can exist. In the uphills mb is weak like hell, doesnt mather if its a 540 or 180. SHIT trucks, pure shit, and anyone grown up around Scanias and Volvos know that.
same but different. I'm a private driver but 22 years ago I brought my 14yo step daughter a Ford 4cyl Tector. OK so the Merc 814 would come past on the downhill but EVERY TIME the Ford would out drag on the hills. Now I've just brought a Merc Vario - to drive across Asia - but it's a slow DOG. I kept waiting for the turbo push - but it never comes

I love how isolated the cabin is. It's not until you peak your head outside the window that you hear the engine... even with the windows open

Hey we are in Finland now. 😎 But I dont like MB trucks because of the slow steering. In Scania, Volvo, DAF you need much less steering input to turn.

Are this mirrors reliable what if something in electronics or software goes wrong in the middle of nowhere.
There's probably a boot-up sequence that checks for electronic faults in the software and hardware.
How reliable are these camera mirrors after three years? I like interior of it. 🤩
I dont have enough experience on these mirrorcams to comment on that. I drive mostly Scania these days.

Cab is about 3 meters and cargo space 9m. Trailer cargo space is 13 meters.
Shouldn't you disengage motor brake before accelerating?

Hi, fhe company I work for has a couple of these mercs. Cameras are horrible to reverse with...can never tell when youre straight.
