I think you have paid enough attention because in 4:35 i am clearly said that up until this point that starting fresh. After that point is what you need to do if you want to migrate an existing instance

with a lot of smart switches, you can reset them by turning on and off 3 times or more and it may appear for re-pairing. mainly guessing here
