Note From ET: LOL this was one of those videos that too me forever to get even close to right, and still not perfectly happy with it. You should have heard the behind the scenes..hahaha. Maybe i'll start putting in bloopers...What do you think??
Hi there. I was wondering if there was a way to lengthen the fade in or out effect? I see how to add a transition between clips, but not at the beginning or end. Those automatic ones seem to be fixed and I sometimes like to do a slower fade to black at the end of a video. Thank you.
I ran into a roadblock with this transition thing. The major problem with iMovie is that it auto crops all your photos. I have to put in the photo and then a cutaway just to have the full photo but then I don’t have full options on the transition. I can only do none, theme or fade with a cutaway. I can’t do dissolve, slide or wipe. This is infuriating and frustrating for me. I’m trying to look up videos on how to get around this but I’m not having any luck.
Let me mess around with it and get back to you. Before i go...my guess it's the photo dimensions (resolution) of the photo vs the dimensions of the video. Which is normally 1920x1080 or 1280x720 or 4k, etc.
Okay think i found it. If you want to make your life easier you can set your camera to 16:9, which is the same ratio as your videos. www.techradar.com/phones/iphone/how-to-take-different-aspect-ratio-images-on-your-iphone#:~:text=Once%20you've%20tapped%20the,you%20can%20start%20taking%20pictures.
@@Dnightshade100 Oh crap, just checked and you are 100% correct!! Ugh...Okay, the only think I can think of is to edit your pictures before you drop them into iMovie or Pinch and zoom in iMovie before adding the transitions. Probably not the best solution, but...until Apple adds 16:9 to the iPad camera app....we are out of luck. Sorry about that!

Can you change transitions for all slides at the same time?
