    Does it have to be a day old or can it be freshly cooked?

    • @ChristieatHome
      @ChristieatHome  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Freshly cooked will work too but it is likely to clump together hence I recommend day old as it's dried out but when reheated, it tastes great.

    I have a question i do not know if Jasmine rice is available in my location so can I use some other rice and please mention the rice that i can use in replacement

      Any long grain white rice will work.

    • @JoshuaDay0550
      @JoshuaDay0550 ปีที่แล้ว

      I make this with your normal white long grain rice and it works just fine.

    Thanks for the recipe.
    No seasonings like salt and pepper needed?
    Is the soy sauce enough to flavour everything?
    No criticism here, just being curious. ✌🏻

      the most important ingredient to egg fried rice is msg in my opinion, gives that SUPER flavor to the meal. I recommend using it instead of salt and for the pepper just leave it, dont really need it for fried rice

    What if I don't have a wok? Can I still do this in a cast iron pan?

    • @Clarrrr
      @Clarrrr ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey I had the same question! Today it looked really good and I decided to make it in a regular pan and it worked just as well for me I used a non stick pan which is the best for it but if u don’t have one than you can use a cast iron skillet! I hope this helped! Btw it was really good!

      Ill tell both of ya right now, Ive dont this is carbon steel and cast iron. I never use my Wok anymore - the sides never get hot enough on my home stove - so I just use the other two now.

      Use whatever you have. No recipe is carved in stone.

      green onions you could probably skip but i think sesame oil would be essential

    • @ChristieatHome
      @ChristieatHome  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Same day is fine but it will clump together so i suggest laying the hot rice over a baking sheet and freezing it for 60 minutes so it dries out.

    What if I don’t have soy sauce and no sesame oil

    • @ChristieatHome
      @ChristieatHome  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unfortunately it will lack flavor. I highly recommend sourcing these ingredients if you can at your local Asian grocer on online to make this dish.
