Yeah, that was awesome. Brian just flipped right on around and up. Wow well as always appreciate you sharing your build turned out fantastic I’ll catch you on the next one until then. Peace and chicken grease😁👍👍👋👋😎
Nice! I also used the steering links for the front lowers on another build (Mazz V2). It worked, but the V2 has a tendency to catch on the front of the skid, so even though it worked great for length, i then changed up again to the Hard Park Dementor BOA titanium front lowers which worked out perfect. Its often a bit of a challenge to get these right on the front end!
@@MrsRabbit8 it is always a challenge, but the front end setup is always my favorite part. Gotta find those creative solutions! - I can see what you are saying about the hang up. With the links bent up right before the leading edge of the skid. I’ll have to see how it works with these Comp Frames. The length is spot on for sure. Cheers!
@@bcochener Akers has some titanium front straight lowers that I'm gonna get. But i don't think they would look good with tube/round links. It may be necessary to always use straight lowers on the front of the V2. The V3 i think single curve on front. I'm debating whether double bend is ever good on front lowers. With the Comp Chassis, i don't know, haven't built mine, but yours looks great! I have started to mix and match to suit the build after seeing you do it... works out very good! I bought titanium link sets of various from both HardPark, and Akers, and have been mixing and matching those. Very cool! Try it out. A lot of combinations are possible.. especially if you buy carbon fiber links from furitek to use as uppers!.. so far my favorite because i see no point in having heavy upper links and the carbon fiber uppers looks pretty dang cool.
@@MrsRabbit8 yeah those Akers blade links and the HP ones are the tits. I have one more full set of Akers I didnt want to break up. The comp frame would look good with the blades, since it already has them. But, matching… oh well. Haha.🤣

Love the build but, I would’ve went with a brushed motor so I could use the brass transmission cover. I would’ve ordered another furitek lizard pro with the 3 to 2 pin wire harness for brushless esc to brushed motor. That build is like a piece of jewelry and it needs that brass tranny cover.
@ I bought all of the old HR (hot racing)parts and built the aluminum with carbon fiber lcg chassis, the one with the links and drive shafts that come in the same package for around $70. I bought all HR parts to use on it and I even got the old brushed HR motor and I used a lizard pro with the 3-2 pin harness so I could have great control of the motor with that esc. I spent more money trying to build a factory HR model than I have ever spent on any other build. It has the HR axles and HR overdrive transmission, that alone was around $400 for tranny and axles after I bought the parts and built them. I built what HR put out for that chassis and matched up everything to the factory pictures but I upgraded the esc and receiver to furitek with flysky. I spent a lot of money on that crawler. I wanted everything to have Hot Racing logos on it and I would’ve felt bad using a brushless motor when HR has a nice and clean transmission cover with their logo on it.
How do you keep the front lower and upper links from hitting? I have tried every configuration, and they keep hitting and limiting my articulation when going over rocks. Ah, same with the rear.
I totally understand the steering clearance. But its almost impossible to bottom out both shocks on a crawler unless your jumping it at full speed and in a turn at the same time. But hey I'm no expert for sure.
I noticed sense you're not running a body you have two mounting holes on top the roll cage. Perfect place to mount another set of lights (light bar). Holes in the rear as well should you want rear lights.
@@rse4379 oh man, so many options with this cage. I almost did a taillight bar as well! Blows my mind they never released a panel set, being that the R-Factor got one. Already have an idea for another X-Factor… 😂 Love these LGRP products.
@@bcochener I recently switched from scale modeling to the rc world. Got tired of building and then they just sit and collect dust. Basically replaced one addiction with another. 😆
@@antoniusandi4510 I usually go with oil (HR LT oils shocks are my favorites), but for this build I needed the telescoping shocks. They don’t make those in oil. With limiting bands you can take out a lot of the bouncy recoil of normal shocks, making them similar to oil. For really heavy rigs, oil is nice to slow down the movement. Either way, you can make a nice setup for your rig.
