Thank you that terrific movie. I‘m taking that route tomorrow from Bobbio Pellice to Barcelona.

There are some wonderful single sides of a few mountain passes I've driven across in either the Alps or the Pyrenees such as the west side of the Tourmalet, the north side of the Grimsel and the north side of the Galibier (including the Telegraphe) while the bare rock south side of Ventoux is an amazing place to visit for both its appearance and its often crazy weather.
But none of those come anywhere close to how good the Agnel is on both its sides (each of them individually would easily be in my top 10) so if you have the time, make sure you drive it in both directions to fully appreciate it.
If I had to choose just one of its directions, I'd narrowly choose to go up the Italian side in order to enjoy the entire French descent all the way to Guillestre with so many sweeping downhill corners and changing landscapes.

Absolutely stunning drive!! The lush green grass contrasts nicely with the austere look of the granite. I'm glad I'm an armchair potato, watching your driving skills over and down the mountains, anywhere in Europe. Your sense of adventure found another road that isn't used much, but seems to be in pretty good shape. lol Thank you for taking the time to tape, upload, edit, etc., all your fantastic vids. I appreciate the work, and enjoy the final version. Hoping spring has found you, as it's nowhere near getting here yet. We still have about 2 feet of snow on the lawn, and the roads are still quite covered in places with ice and snow. 🤗💕📸🐸

I wish all the borders of the world were as easy to pass for people as they are in Europe and they are seen in this video. Fantastic as always. Maybe one day. Muchas gracias de nuevo y cuidado por ahí fuera.

Yeah that would be good for a Mexican, or wherever you’re from..
      No borders = undesirable migration

Schitterend!

Lovely area would love to drive this route but looks bit tight and narrow in places where is it ? Love the alp passes planning a road trip next year the stelvio pass

It is not near by the Stelvio, which is in the central Alps. Here we are in the western Alps, the Agnello and the Stelvio are about 500 km apart from each other. I have driven my car and ridden my bike on the Colle dell'Agnello many times as I live in the area. I can tell you that the road is wide and easy along the valley, then the last 10 km are narrower but nothing exceptional. Two cars have to slow down a little bit to pass but in general there are no places where only one car can pass, only a few hairpins are quite narrow so you may want to slow down and check for cars coming from the opposite direction. Of course the Stelvio and other roads in the Dolomites area are highways compared to the Agnello, that's because in general western Alps are steeper than central and eastern Alps so also the roads are narrower and steeper.

Is the parking lot at 5:37 free?

    • @EuropeanRoads

parking lots like these are rarely paid in the French Alps.
