People really be sleeping on the Hyper Tough stuff. For the money, they are worth it and not break the bank as low usage tools. BUT the prybars are definitely 100% worth it!
Most definitely, and being USA Made, these things were cheap and considering what you’re getting it’s still cheap. They got some decent stuff for the money
Even as high usage.. I beat the hell out of their 36" prybar and had me and a buddy standing on it, and that's 400 lbs! Lol.. also their extended electric ratchet is used by me everyday at work. I brought one of my Milwaukees home and took the Hyper tough to replace it at work, and it holds up perfectly in my environment (industrial maintenance tech). It's all about taking care of your stuff and not abusing certain tools.. unless you just start with crappy tools.
I rocked a US General for a little over 10 years. The entire time I told myself that the expensive boxes aren't worth the money. The US General boxes are more than good enough for me.
After switching to a Cornwell . . . the expensive boxes are worth every penny. Do whatever you can and treat yourself one day and buy a tool truck box. Trust me, you deserve it.
Maybe one day, I definitely understand with the quality and layouts, thats the biggest thing, over the years, these cheap husky boxes served me well, but I could never fully organize appropriately with the layouts they came in, but I just had made do, and still am. The US general has been a big upgrade for me, and I could see how they other truck brands would be much superior, but as a DIYer, it'll be a long time before I can afford a truck brand one, but hopefully in the future. @@kdtxtooldad guys . . . you do not have to buy new - buy slightly used. Hey, it took me to 48 years old before I bought a tool truck box. And they are that much better that I had NO buyer's remorse. So much better that it is one of the two things that I tell people "this" will change your life. One is the tool truck brand box and the other is 2 scoops of Metamucil everyday
@Doublethizzle OK I'm curious now.. I don't believe in the tool truck branded boxes because I've owned one and was sooooo disappointed that I sold it after I got out of the wrenching business. Yet I'm very curious about the Metamucil everyday.. I used to see the commercials a lot back in the 90s (I think), but never thought to look into it since I was in my early 20s.
What is so great about it? What has it changed for you? Thanks..
I agree on the Metamucil, tool truck boxes….not at all. I have been surrounded by really expensive boxes all my life and just got this same full bank cart….extremely happy and with leftover money to fill it up with tools…tools….the thing that actually help you fix stuff, you know.
I Have a bunch of sunnex impact sockets. I use them everyday and have absolutely not been easy on them. Never had a single issue out of them. Or any of my harbor freight stuff for that matter. Sharp setup bud. Very well put together
Same here, have had my harbor freight stuff for a decade now, and I started off with that because that's all I could afford at the time, and til this day they have held up. Same for my sunex stuff

Hell yea when I saw that coupon at the very bottom of the list I jumped on it too. Lol just waiting on it to come in. Ordered the orange and black one. But damn that red and black looking sharp too.
Heck ya, I like the orange too, had contemplated on that color to match my matco ratchets but daughter said go for the red and they matched up with my pliers and Milwaukee stuff😂
The lug nut sockets, matco makes a decent set. The rubber is replaced by a carbon fiber sleeve and it’s got a lifetime warranty. Nice tour all around, I’ve been eyeing that cart from afar for myself.

Ive been very surprised by Hyper Tough! I have a little ratching driver and bit set to keep in my truck, their 36" pry bar (black handle/striking cap) and their 12v extended reach 3/8" electric ratchet, and i love all of it!! The pry bars for Hyper tough used to be made by Wilde and i think they likely still make them for walmart. The electric ratchet performs just as well as my 2 Milwaukee electric ratchets, are very well built and 1/4 of the price!! I got so curious that i had to buy one for laughs, and i ended up using it more than my Big Red brand!
The tool game nowdays has so many players in it, that it works out wonderfully for us as consumers. We get companies competing against the ripoff brands (Strap-On/MAC/Matco/Cornwell/etc) and we get equally or better made tools, but for a fraction of the cost! These tool truck companies have brainwashed the masses to believe that their logo is a sign of quality or workmanship.. which many times is NOT the case.
I was turning wrenches for 17 years professionally, still do it at work though as a industrial maintenance tech nowdays.. my dad was an aircraft tech and engineer that was part of the team that built the very first B2 for the DOD, and my grandpa ran a shop doing frame-ups on classic cars and trucks.. so ive been around tools my entire life and i can assure you that the tool trucks are the biggest scam going in our world!
Very awesome comment brother! 💯💯💯 and agreed, the tool market is definitely now very open to each and every consumer, and people definitely shouldn’t be held down by brands. I’ve been wrenching since I was very young, my father was a mechanic and my uncle and I would go to work with them since I was a little kid (started off as a flashlight holder) lol but never once during their career have they ever advised to buy certain brands, they bought what was according to their budgets back then, which wasn’t many options, but we scoured pawnshops, flea markets, garage sales and if it came down to it then yes the tool truck, with todays e-commerce availability, if one person needs a tool for a one time job, they shouldn’t have to buy a tool truck brand. But yea I see it online everyday, if you’re not boasting a tool truck brand, you won’t get the views or likes unfortunately.
That is an awesome set up brother. You probably have the most sockets out of all these tool videos I've seen haha. And I thought I had too many sockets! When you need just that right socket/adapter to get into a tight spot it makes the world of a difference.

Astro has those nano sockets to complete your set they have an expansion pack email them for part number it’s 20-24 I asked about it when I ordered the stubby torx to complete a set. Astro had them cheapest.

Nice setup. I recently swapped from the US General 5 drawer to the 34” tech cart in black. Yours must weigh a ton with all those sockets. I know mine does and I don’t have nearly as many 1/2” drive sockets as you.
I think the service cart’s casters make them feel even heavier, I can move my 40” tool box more easily than this thing, going to find some better casters one day for it
I’ve got the one like your black one it’s great I love it I’m a field tech and all about my tools and boxes but no need for a box atm bc it’s on my truck but I love the us general carts I would upgrade to the one you have bc the drawers are much more valuable then the bottom space to me.. I have a snap on cart the same as the US G and honestly I see no difference at all besides all full length drawers def not worth the extra money
Yea when it comes to service carts, the US general deal is a pretty darn good deal. I just posted the other day another $499 coupon, I mean can’t beat that all day long. You can find used snap ons every once and a while between 800-1000 on marketplace but still almost double the price.
I’ve got the PT impact metric deeps, bought in 2006 and still work great. The size rubs off easy, I have to write on them with a paint marker like you’ve done. I also have the Grey Pneumatic swivels, also almost 20 years old. Used professionally for a while, zero problems. Do you not have any wrenches though?
Hehe yea I did an updated tour on this setup with a bit more organization, with my wrenches. I keep most of my wrenches in a separate box which is also in one of my more recent tours as well.

Gorgeous setup buddy! Do you deal with much rust? I deal with stuff that the 2767 high torque impact struggles with on small sedans lol
Just depends, not really but if I buy a car from up north then I may run into it., but if it’s bad nothing a sawzall can’t take care of lol
How easy was it to attach the side shelf? I have the same cart in black. I absolutely love it.
Very easy, just take your handle bar and use that as a guide to your tray backing to make new holes that way after drilling it’ll line up, you can do two or four bolts up to you

Capri tools warranty out swivel adapters. They replaced my 3/8 one
Yea I should’ve kept it, think I was a few hours into the job and brain was half gone but after purchasing a new one cause I needed it right there and then I just threw away the old one without much thought at the moment

What do you use for that liner on the top socket area? Is it like pegboard for your socket holders? I think that’s pretty awesome and I want to get some!
It’s called tool grid and I personally think it’s the best organizational system in the market for tools. A bit pricey though thus the only reason I only have the top section done right now

That was a snapon 1/4dr impact socket not sure of the part number and just realized you asked about a 16mm that’s actually a “9/16” socket must’ve either read or spoke to low in the video

what size did you get with the mantis tool grid. been looking at the JSC773 tool cart only because they have them custom fit. did it drop right in and fit with no problem or require some cutting
It definitely required cutting, this is the size I ordered for my service cart, 29 1/16" x 26 1/16", i just measured inside of the top portion of my box, cut with a jig saw, and dropped it in, try to cut it as close as possible to the dims, that way it kind of presses against the walls and locks in, and you'll be good, mine doesn't slide around or anything, and has been working well, this has beat any socket rail, holder, organizer that i've had. It allows for customization in a far better aspect and uses up space much better.
Buddy doesn’t have a single wrench in this box. I honestly prefer a good set of ratcheting wrenches over socket+ratchet/impact combo

you will not be disappointed, I enjoy it very much, it is a bit costly due to shipping, I just did the 1/2 for now, but plan to do the rest
Will a 14.5in end cabinet(us general) fit this, or bad idea being side heavy

Hmm not sure, I would think it would work, I've seen people add it to the regular 4/5 drawer tool carts which are much lighter than this one, so I would imagine it would be okay
Was looking at my cart last night, one thing that might prevent adding the side box is the corner bumpers, so youd definintely want to measure and check it before doing if you want to go this route
