My favorite was the one where they were demonstrating some sort of hand held blender to thicken beverages with air.
They kept saying, "Coming up, we'll be doing it to plain water!"
I was excited to see what that would look like.. figuring it would be like some clear gel.
And then the guy pours a glass of water and is like, "Just so everyone can see it, I'm going to add some coffee."
I was only about 9... but even I could see the BS...
I wanted one of those Magic Wand mixers in the worst way after I saw that, I couldn't get my parents to let me buy it though! I was expecting clear gel from the "water" too.
a saint of the universe not only uploaded that episode, but many others now in his vhs collection. old comment but the whole episode of the magic wand is up now

@@mem1701movies It was a scam
ME TOO
My grandpa bought this for me. I made the mistake of falling asleep listening to the cassettes a couple of times. For months, I could not get math problems to quit working by themselves in my head (which I did not initiate or enjoy, btw). I thought I was going to go insane or need professional help. It was really a low time for me. The silver lining is I got really good at math. True story.

@@annetteallen5171same. I was like 5, waking up at 4am to watch TV and this was on. Mr.Wizard was also my go to.
When I was a kid, maybe 10,11,12 I would stay up late and the only thing on tv was infomercials. Paid programming. I vividly remember this one . I was born in 1980 so I was roughly 10 or so the first time I saw this

thanks, jerma
I remember years later when Kevin Trudeau had this guy on one of his infomercials. No mullet by then.
Wow, they managed to parody this guy well in the live action Cat in the Hat right down to reproducing the patchwork sweater.
I would to watch this on saturday mornings with a full bowl of breakfast cereals on german cable TV, with very inaccurate and off sync german voice over dubs. :-D
Me too, except it was late at night, with Dutch dubs and I was high as fuck

word!
I so wanted this as a kid. It would have helped me so much. I managed to track down the original book online, though the audio transcripts of the cassettes (I threw away my cassette player a long time ago... I held onto it until 2015.) The book is interesting, although it serves no real purpose for me anymore. I guess I got some closure at last...

So this is where the Cat in the Hat got that joke from
If he could teach a modern retail clerk to make change, I'd be thrilled.
I remember this, as my math teacher try to re teach some of his technics, however I never got too much out of it, and still not good on basic calculation. But I am really good on High math, as they say those who can deal high math can't do basic math.

Over my 50+ years I have heard 1 person say that. It was you. No one else would say or believe that. Like, you can't understand advanced English if you understand basic English. Imagine anyone believing that? Please link to one human other than you saying " those who can deal high math can't do basic math."
did anyone ever buy this? and if so did or does it work ?
I remember watching these on cable TV in the uk in the 90s
This might work for an average person, but I'm a stupid person.

As what Spice Girl Emma Bunton might say on this infomercial, I refuse to believe this because that is the most absurd infomercial I ever saw in my entire life. This however is as difficult thinking someone is smarter than a 5th grade. A bunch of big fat lies to me all the time.
