Wondering now that you’ve had this going for awhile (I just found video) how it worked out? Got me thinking about the helical gear you used vs a standard spur! I’m thinking the 45degree Helix helps guide the spring loaded dog you’ve made allows rotation either direction a little easier because the helical set tooth guides it through vs a harder impact than with regular spur gear.... that was a long sentence, sorry. Digging your solution to this problem solving of how to lock the shaft rotation. What do you think about helical vs spur? Cheers from up north

Gear can be turned both directions. It should be locked in one direction.
