That was funny man Carl Ballantine as the guy who gets "hit" by the Mustang convertible. Mostly known for being one of the wacky crew on McHale's Navy.
Looks like a lot of single brand sponsorship there, since the vast majority are Ford products. The very few non-Ford products were either foreign or a bus.
This is really well done! I've been a huge fan of the show since childhood and I like that you've given a new twist to this, featuring all these wonderful, classic cars.
Car and cigarette companies sponsored many TV shows back in the 60's. It was no accident cars appeared in so many scenes. As a kid that was my favorite part of these old shows.
No right side trim or 289 badge on '66 mustang as it drives by. Then left side shows them. They must have filmed the shot AFTER they partially fixed the damage from the guy walking into the left side later and never put the trim and badge back on. OR, it's a completely different car.
That Girl is on the Catchy Comedy tv channel, according to my tv guide. They have weekend tv marathons of classic tv shows. There was a That Girl marathon last month.🙂
Donald rarely kept a car more than two episodes. He had to be driving at least 12 different cars over the 5 years. Sometimes they were on assignment out if town, but even in this video he has 4 different cars in the first season or two.
Another Deslu show filmed in LA and set in New York, this one filled with Fomoco convertibles owned by someone who probably wouldn't have a car if he lived in Manhattan for real.
wraith: An apparition of someone that is believed to appear as a portent just before that person's death. The ghost of a dead person. Something faint or insubstantial.
Such a cuite show. I hated how the show ended. The classic ending would have been that Donald and Ann made up and married. I miss the silly shows of the 60's and 70's. Todays show are either dumb or stupid, so called reality shows.
I watched this video specifically to see if they would show that. As a kid I was really tuned into cars & I distinctly remembered the show where the car they arrived in was not the one they started out in. I didn't remember which was which but I knew it had changed. '65 & '66 were very different cars. That's Hollywood for you! 😂😂😂😂😂
back then for a normal person like my mother that would have been almost a weeks pay, she told me when I was born in '67 she made around $1.40 & on a 40 hour week & a little overtime she made maybe $60-70 a week at Lithonia Lighting! My 1st job in '82 I made $3.35 hr & brought home about $80 working the legal 25 hrs max for minors & my first real job after high school I made $5 hr & made about $200 a week
@@josephforest7605 haha $5 hr? I havent made less than $20 hr since 1990 when I started my own construction biz roofing, siding, brick work, concrete, painting, plumbing, decks, windows, doors, sheetrock, landscaping & mowing! Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires
Hello, I am very interested. As you know, there are tons of investments out there and without solid knowledge, I can't decide what is best. Can you explain further how you invest and earn?

But of course, none of those were "classics" at the time of that TV show. They were just ordinary cars that average people drove. Same is true of all TV shows.
The Good during this era.......the cool classic cars and styles. The Bad during this era......shows like these introduced the beginning of liberalism and wokeness to TV. I can remember how they started catering to NOW and ethnic groups to the point of ridiculousness. It only got worse from here ........ even the cars.
Fun show she was kind of ditzy and just cute and then really loved her and he had to keep his eye on her cuz he knew she was a whack job it was a fun show
4:17 - That was a Corvette, not a Corvair. I really liked the `65 Ford taxi and the bus. But all the vehicles were cool. I remember the show being on when I was a kid, but don't remember ever watching it, though maybe we did.
@@MillerMeteor74 It's a shame that they did not go into production with the Corvair Monza GT ... beautiful car. GM appears to have lifted styling cues from the Corvair prototype for later model (gen C3) Corvettes. Hence the confusion.

I was so in love with Marlo Thomas in 'That Girl'. Such great memories watching it as a child , when television was decent .
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Ford used to sponsor " That Girl" 😂
most of ABC shows did then
The only thing hotter than the classic cars....is Marlo Thomas. 😁
My first crush. Along with Claudine Longet.
Thought that old Rolls was quite a classy machine! Liked that '67 Galaxie convertible too!
looked like a 390 in it too
That was funny man Carl Ballantine as the guy who gets "hit" by the Mustang convertible. Mostly known for being one of the wacky crew on McHale's Navy.
I love it that Ann Marie knows the make & model number of that NY City bus!
That looks like an ad for Mays department store on the front of the bus. Now defunct.
The only sitcom guy that switched cars more often was Darren on Bewitched!
Mike Brady had a few as well
kept wrecking them ---lol
The voiceover sounds a lot like "Ann Marie" :)
The Comet stuck in the mud was very memorable - at least I remembered it when I got a big 1991 Chevy Caprice rental stuck in the mud.
66 mustang… $46.00 worth of damage 😮😜
Now it's 4600 dollars in damage.
that probably equates to $10,000 in damage today
i was born in 1960 so saw lots of That Girl and yes I loved Marlo Thomas
My first tv love, and bangs have carried me ever since!
Yep!
I had a 68 galaxy 500 fastback back in the day. I still miss that car.
Oooh, now I'm looking for a Mercury Comet Caliente!
uncle had one back then 289 4 speed duel exhaust sounded so good
5:38 is at Paradise Cove in Malibu where Jim Rockford had his trailer and the Beach Boys album covers were shot.
Donald certainly went through a lot of cars! And doesn't look like there was much brand sponsorship for That Girl. I like the variety of automobiles.

'66 AMX? AMX came out in 1968! That was a prototype.

Great job thanks Great video
wow. MT was gorgeous.
I had such a crush on Marlo Thomas. Those big dark eyes and dark hair ❤❤
Schwing!
yup, she was yummy...dark hair & dark eyes
Reruns ran in the afternoons and I would watch them when I was home sick.
Did they ever do a finale episode where Don gets lucky?
Why is your voice kind of sound like Marlo Thomas?
Car and cigarette companies sponsored many TV shows back in the 60's. It was no accident cars appeared in so many scenes. As a kid that was my favorite part of these old shows.
Sign me up for the 275 GTS and THAT girl.
Is Marlo Thomas narrating this video?
No
AMC AMX didn't come out until 1968.
The car you saw was a concept vehicle on display at an auto show. The Ferrari was the only production model featured in that clip.
Only Donald picnics in a tie and blazer.
I'm really enjoying all of these. You're really putting work into them. Thanks!

4:19 the 1964 Ferrari 275 GTS is worth about $2.3M today. I think they only made 4 in 1964, so much easier to find the ‘65.
