To be honest I wasn't a big fan either from my first experience but now having three dc mcfarlane figures in my hands I started to slowly care to like them
Got mine on pre order and can't wait to add him to my mcfarlane display next to the movie Black Adam....the Black Adam figure was on my top 10 figures of 2022 and this Shazam is more than likely be on my top 10 for 2023 along with that recently revealed Kalibak figure
When it comes to Mcfarlane improving, the weakness is then we see other figures make the same mistakes despite being a new sculpt. This Shazam figures is terrific. Looks like the actor, aesthetic articulation looks good, and we have well proportions matching sets of hands. Seriously two closed fists and two action poses. That's all we needed. None of this mismatched pair. It helps greatly that it's a great Shazam costume. Switching to a pinless look would be great but if they can address the articulation with those aesthetics, I call it low priority.
The effects don’t rly stay on mine. The flying figs should always come with flight stands, a smirk face would fit him, other figs need alt hands too & possibly alt heads

Are they retconning Billy's background for the movie, or is this just a toy trading card thing (going with info from the comics)? His mother [still alive of course] abandoned him in the first movie.
It's really so sad that we will never get a Shazam vs Black Adam fight or even a Superman vs Black Adam live action fight in the DCU because the animated DC Shazam and Superman the Return of Black Adam film was really cool but hopefully James Gunn will do a great job for both Warner Bros and DC, Great review overall on the badass Shazam figure from McFarlane Toys Shartimus.
I noticed the likeness to Zachary Levi on this figure while I was out looking for figures a few weeks ago, and I really dig the changes in the costume design. I may go ahead and pick this figure up based on this review!
Hopefully mcfarlane makes the the other Shazam family because I would like a Mary bromfield played by the grace fulton( please sculpt the gorgeous face of hers not like what they did for gal gadot 🤢) it’s got to be a huge honor to play both civilian/superhero for this Shazam 2
It’s a good movie, the first one. Too bad WB suits messed up the DCEU & ppl blamed Snyder & the cast 😢 aside from end credit scenes that went nowhere& grey villains, it was great. Too bad it wasn’t shot in Philly bc I’ve lived so close to it all my life (23 yrs) but the Rocky steps was shot in Philly & if I had to pick one, it would be that.
This Shazam looked like the best out of the three you had standing. As long as there are window boxes make mine McFarlane Toys (reference to the old letter pages of Marvel comics from more than 30 years ago.) Disney/Marvel/Hasbro can go jump in THE lake. (To be clear, that lake is not cool, both figuratively and literally.)
Hey Shartimus, You forgot the DC McFarlane Toys Henry Cavill Superman because he did kind of made a cameo in the first 2019 Shazam movie but it wasn't even him though.
I don't call him Captain Marvel because I know the true history of the Character. A lot of people don't they either can't read it just too stupid F DC Comics and their petty treachery
It's a shame Mcfarlane didn't make a Mary Marvel figure. So since he didn't make figures of Triss and Jeneffer from The Witcher 3, what a waste of licenses.

The big time letdown gag actually surprised me but it feels pretty fitting. It actually feels like something the movie version of Shazam would do.

He IS Captain Marvel.
Not saying it's wrong for Billy Batson to be called Captain Marvel but the word ''SHAZAM''! makes way more sense for the character.

I need this and BA. The genius move was adding more kids. So it's still Shazam, but merged with Power Rangers.

They did not release any of the villains? This Shazam figure looks great. But the Cape should been shorter.

This is nice figure. I just noticed that his neck is better than how Superman’s is. I just hope they fix that down the road if they do a recall
