Same here! Had tears in my eyes through most of the movie. So much emotion and inner meaning is packed into the scenes. When Balu demonstrates different styles to Shailaja in the beginning of the movie, I felt what an injustice that this talented dancer never got his due and my eyes teared up! So many scenes like that one which pull at the inner strings of the heart.

But today when I saw(@38 yrs of age, may be wouldn't have understood the feel of the movie then), was humming all the songs as if I heard them y'day. That is the greatness of Dr. Vishwanath and ofcourse I was fond of watching this movie for Kamal's and Jaya's dance. After week's days of work, having watching this movie from 12 am to 3 am, going to sleep with good note and wonderful satisfaction :-)

This climax takes the movie to the pinnacle.Vedam song playing in the background and Raghu and Madhavi taking him quitely in a wheelchair..and she is holding umbrella, title’s rolling ‘no end to any art’. How artistic each frame and only Vishwanth garu can do it. And ofcourse Balu’s lil heart touching speech.. Now I could only imagine Vishwanth garu not Kamal in that wheelchair..leaving us to watch all his work inside the auditorium and ofcouse no end to his legacy and his contribution to Indian arts..😢

My God, what a movie. With the exquisite beauty and talent of Jayapradha and the scorching talent of KH along with the genius direction of K.Viswanath all in the pot, they ended up with this gem of a movie. Great classical singing and dancing, beautiful music to go with it and of course, the simply elegant story with a killer screenplay; not forgetting the dialogues. My rating is 7 out of 5 stars.

Same here! Had tears in my eyes through most of the movie. So much emotion and inner meaning is packed into the scenes. When Balu demonstrates different styles to Shailaja in the beginning of the movie, I felt what an injustice that this talented dancer never got his due and my eyes teared up! So many scenes like that one which pull at the inner strings of the heart.

incredible, no person in India has much knowledge as kamal hassan has in films. I usually don't cry but some scenes were so intriguing that tears rolled out.
I am writing this because u and me both knows that it's a wonderful movie.
I watched this movie many many times. There are no words to describe the greatness of this movie. K. Viswanadh garu lives forever eventhough he is not physically in this world. Kudos to Kamal sir, beauty queen Jayapradagaru and sarathbabu garu.
Observe there, we can see all navarasa (Shringara (love/beauty), Hasya(laughter), Karuna (sorrow), Raudra (anger), Veera ( heroism/courage), Bhayanaka (terror/fear), Bibhatsya (disgust), Adbutha (surprise/wonder), and Shantha (peace or tranquility).)in the film. This is great Indian standard movie.

This movie got released when I was 6 years and till now didn''t get chance to watch it. But today when I saw(@38 yrs of age, may be wouldn't have understood the feel of the movie then), was humming all the songs as if I heard them y'day. That is the greatness of Dr. Vishwanath and ofcourse I was fond of watching this movie for Kamal's and Jaya's dance. After week's days of work, having watching this movie from 12 am to 3 am, going to sleep with good note and wonderful satisfaction :-)

This climax takes the movie to the pinnacle.Vedam song playing in the background and Raghu and Madhavi taking him quitely in a wheelchair..and she is holding umbrella, title’s rolling ‘no end to any art’. How artistic each frame and only Vishwanth garu can do it. And ofcourse Balu’s lil heart touching speech.. Now I could only imagine Vishwanth garu not Kamal in that wheelchair..leaving us to watch all his work inside the auditorium and ofcouse no end to his legacy and his contribution to Indian arts..😢

With the exquisite beauty and talent of Jayapradha and the scorching talent of KH along with the genius direction of K.Viswanath all in the pot, they ended up with this gem of a movie. Great classical singing and dancing, beautiful music to go with it and of course, the simply elegant story with a killer screenplay; not forgetting the dialogues. My rating is 7 out of 5 stars.

@@nishugowda6172 correct but the point is right now if we write a character or scenes similar to this type, no star hero comes forward to do it because of their esteemed stardom or image. They focus more on this part rather than acting versatile roles.Thats the point.
