At our church we rotate with the cleaning of the church too. Most of the groups are made of 4 family. Used to be once every 4 months. With extra help near special events "Easter, Thanksgiving, and other. The cleaning group was to also provide flowers. Now they do it definitely. As I remember it was an all day affair when I was about 10 years old till about 15. I am happy that, your are healthy because, the pregnancy would be harder. My daughters are both very happy that you pregnant, they see you as a far away aunt. You need to get a P.O. BOX so who ever wants to be blessed allowing us to join in the welcoming of your Bundle of Joy with gifts. What ever you don't like or need you can always just donate.

I grew up in The United Church of Christ , in a very large cathedral like church, but as children we were so accustomed to spending time there, that we would run around and play just as Zander does in your video.My Grandmother was a baker and she'd go to the church Saturday to bake the goodies for the Sunday coffee hour, and we were often there with her, running all around playing just the same as if we were home. It warms my heart to see children so completely comfortable when at church, & I know that Jesus wants the children to grow up comfortable with him & to just simply accept him as a part of their life - to "know" him just as you know your own family.

Reminds me when I was small. My father cleaned two churches. We went with him to help him because he had a regular full time job also. Those were some of the best times of my life. Spending time with my Daddy!🥰

I love your precious church! We outgrew our little church & they built a very large one & now no one comes. Our little church fell in disrepair so now there are very few people in the huge church with power bills we can hardly pay. I miss the little church I grew up in. The folks that voted to build the large church ran off & we barely got it paid for.

I even had a dream last night that I walked into church and it was a disaster and I remembered much to my dismay that I had been supposed to clean it this week! Ha! Thanks for taking us along! I love the history behind churches. Our church has a unique history behind it too! We only speak PA Dutch to our children but they speak English back most of the time. Way to go Xander!
I'd rather have the declutter with me videos than the clean with me ones because that inspires me to get rid of more things. We're military, and we move every two to three years. Decluttering is always necessary with our lifestyle. Thank you for a wonderful video.

I dread cleaning my own bathroom but it’s too important to ignore and once it’s done I feel so much better. But watching you clean all those of those church bathrooms, especially considering your pregnancy, made me a little Squamish 😝😆. You and your sweet family are an inspiration to so many of us. And little Zander....oh my 💖💘 He could have his own channel, he always makes me happy. I loved the hymns and I also love the old churches, that’s where I grew up in 💕
Cleaned the church for 13 years. Every day plus evenings was classified a part time job. I did the lawn, snow, painting, polishing wooden benches, set up and take down plus more. After I resigned they had 4 different people doing my job. I miss the solitude and speaking with the Lord while I worked. Spent some restful nights there as well when I would try to finish a large project and ending up falling asleep in the sanctuary.
So liked this video as we can relate to cleaning, decorating, and serving in our little church as well. Live not far from Lancaster, PA. 😍 We have a small Mennonite community near us. Thank you for giving me a beautiful memory of my childhood. My mother taught my sisters and me to sing in 5 part harmony beginning when I was about 2. (I'm the youngest) The Little Brown Church in the Vale was one of the songs she arranged and we learned. We often sang at church functions and weddings, and at hospitals for the patients. Thank you again for evoking such fond and tender memories.
I love your "little" church! I attend a small country church as well and LOVE it so much! We had to remodel the sanctuary a few years ago to make more room for our growing congregation. I also love the idea of the members pitching in to help keep everything clean and tidy. We did that at the church I was raised and have many memories of going with my Mom and Grandma to clean on Saturday mornings.

Nice video Jeanine! We clean our church the same way & our little country church has gone through two major renovations. Our sanctuary was first - reclaimed benches from another church, electrical, carpeting, new ceiling (so we can actually sound ok when we sing 😅) Next, our basement was completely dugout from the entrance to extend the length of the church. We added a huge new kitchen, four SS classrooms, a library and an elevator! It turned out really well and is also beautiful. At this time, we have young families joining our fellowship and our little church is getting full again, praise God! Xander and your new little lady are so blessed to have you and Nolan as parents! My very favorite part of this video was at 1:45. I know it's late in the season but that just shows how much I miss seeing the PA woods in their color. It still looked so pretty to me. My heart just squeezed. I lived in PA all my life until I was married and moved to South Dakota.

I wish you would give us an update on how your pregnancy is going. I keep you on my mind and in my prayers. There is nothing more humbling than a precious little country church. I grew up in one and my dad was the pastor. Being a preachers kid as we were referred to or “PK” for short is rough. We were supposed to be perfect but the members kids didn’t have to be. Oh well it didn’t kill me and I probably am a better person for having been a PK. ❤️❤️🙏🙏
That Dad must have been Swiss! (Not taking sides and trying to make both sons happy! lol.) What a nice big Church hall! And well loved Church building! It looks new except for the style of the pews. A little plain to my Catholic sensibility. Love my beautiful stained glass and saint statues, but can see the care and love for your spiritual home in its cleanliness and timelessness. The bathroom is my least favorite place to clean so have to admire you tackling three this night!!! Definitely treasure in heaven there. How about getting a couple small dust mops and customizing them to fit on Xanders feet and as he runs around he can be mopping the floor!!! I can picture him "skating" along on them! 😀I can see Nolan wanting you to make some for him, too! lol Nolan was a little mean with the 13 week remark, (actually a lot mean), but I will let it slide because he did the men's bathroom. Probably completely off topic, just started the video & had to pause. I love your house. It looks so nice. Also, I loved the way he smiled at you in the cab of the truck. So sweet. Lastly, Xander running around on the pews is hilarious. Reminds me of me at my Grandparents little Methodist church in the hills of West Virginia. I'd help clean it on Saturday morning & come early with him on Sunday mornings to fill the wood stove, then go back 2 miles to their house for breakfast & get dressed for Sunday school. Sweetest memories.
I love the community that being a Mennonite emphasizes. I feel like family and community aren’t as important in today’s society and I wish it was. Just cleaning together is something my family doesn’t do and jobs are usually lonely here. I’ve been very interested in studying the Mennonite community and your videos have been so amazing!
Nice video. I am impressed with the wood walls looking so clean. I found that type of wall being high maintenance. I have old cotton rags to clean but your cleaning equipment is much better than mine.

Nice video Jeanine! We clean our church the same way & our little country church has gone through two major renovations. Our sanctuary was first - reclaimed benches from another church, electrical, carpeting, new ceiling (so we can actually sound ok when we sing 😅) Next, our basement was completely dugout from the entrance to extend the length of the church. We added a huge new kitchen, four SS classrooms, a library and an elevator! It turned out really well and is also beautiful. At this time, we have young families joining our fellowship and our little church is getting full again, praise God! Xander and your new little lady are so blessed to have you and Nolan as parents! I like to watch most anything you put on cause you always have beautiful scenery and it’s peaceful even if it’s church cleaning! My husband pastors a church built in 1806 and I love our little church. Old churches are beautiful!
My very favorite part of this video was at 1:45. I know it's late in the season but that just shows how much I miss seeing the PA woods in their color. It still looked so pretty to me. My heart just squeezed.

You'd got your little ray of sunshine to brighten up the rain. Love his tiger boots and seeing him splash in the puddles. He's such a cutie did I hear him supervising Nolan saying Mummy does...😂 It's a lovely church and nice to see Nolan helping and keeping Xander entertained. Hearing xander say you tricked me made me think of my nephew who said the same thing to his granny. He's 24 now and 6 foot 4. Wishing you all continued health and happiness.
I wish you would give us an update on how your pregnancy is going. I keep you on my mind and in my prayers. There is nothing more humbling than a precious little country church. I grew up in one and my dad was the pastor. Being a preachers kid as we were referred to or “PK” for short is rough. We were supposed to be perfect but the members kids didn’t have to be. Oh well it didn’t kill me and I probably am a better person for having been a PK. ❤️❤️🙏🙏

That Dad must have been Swiss! (Not taking sides and trying to make both sons happy! lol.) What a nice big Church hall! And well loved Church building! It looks new except for the style of the pews. A little plain to my Catholic sensibility. Love my beautiful stained glass and saint statues, but can see the care and love for your spiritual home in its cleanliness and timelessness. The bathroom is my least favorite place to clean so have to admire you tackling three this night!!! Definitely treasure in heaven there. How about getting a couple small dust mops and customizing them to fit on Xanders feet and as he runs around he can be mopping the floor!!! I can picture him "skating" along on them! 😀I can see Nolan wanting you to make some for him, too! lol Nolan was a little mean with the 13 week remark, (actually a lot mean), but I will let it slide because he did the men's bathroom. So glad you have more energy! Great job keeping Xander occupied! Love the Tigger boots! Have a blessed week!

Probably completely off topic, just started the video & had to pause. I love your house. It looks so nice. Also, I loved the way he smiled at you in the cab of the truck. So sweet. Lastly, Xander running around on the pews is hilarious. Reminds me of me at my Grandparents little Methodist church in the hills of West Virginia. I'd help clean it on Saturday morning & come early with him on Sunday mornings to fill the wood stove, then go back 2 miles to their house for breakfast & get dressed for Sunday school. Sweetest memories.

I love the community that being a Mennonite emphasizes. I feel like family and community aren’t as important in today’s society and I wish it was. Just cleaning together is something my family doesn’t do and jobs are usually lonely here. I’ve been very interested in studying the Mennonite community and your videos have been so amazing!

Nice video. I am impressed with the wood walls looking so clean. I found that type of wall being high maintenance. I have old cotton rags to clean but your cleaning equipment is much better than mine.
