Also here's something they could have added to this revelation when Molly and scratch are talking to his childhood friend Adia on her webcam it would have been interesting If Molly and scratch were talking to her outside the house and they hold the camera up to the house to show Adia where Molly living and here is what Adia says Holy smokes you're living in my house talk about a stroll down memory lane And Molly says this why thank you glad to hear who the previous owner was we're keeping your house in perfect shape then Molly stops and says in a stunned tone wait a minute this was your house And the camera glitches snd goes off and Molly is stunned to hear that scratches childhood friend lived in the house that she and her family now lives in and she says to scratch if this was her house then where did you live and why are you haunting your childhood friend's house and not your own then Libby and Oliver Show Up. and tell Molly because scratch never died he's not even a ghost not the way you think. Also how did scratch loose his memory because Molly Daryl and their friends have left their bodies and became ghost They did not lose their memories so how could scratch lose his.

It would have been cooler when Molly and Scratch were talking to Scratch Childhood Friend Adia on Molly Web Came and Molly Chose scratches friend a picture of the house when talking to her on her webcam and Adia And scratch his friend says this Hey that's my old child how's your living and talk about things still a memory lane and Molly says well it's not a big deal oh glad that we're keeping your house in perfect shape but then Molly gases and says in the shocks on tone wait a minute your house this is where you lived and Adia And then the camera goes dead just like it did the actual show then Molly says this does not make sense if Audia lived here then where did you live scratch and why are you haunting your friend's house and not your own then Libby and Oliver show up telling Molly that Scratch never died. I didn't the career's put that in it would have made the last episode more interesting.
basically it is astral projection. someone ends up in a state where their soul jumps out of their body and can float around doing ghost stuff. either trying to travel to the afterlife or being really fucking depressed causes it. The body is still alive even in this state though. Scratch became so depressed he astral projected, laeving his body alive on auto pilot. But he stayed as ghost for so long that he lost all his memories, until he had some triggers.
Fun fact: despite being soulless Todd is always happy with food

i think the reason he lost his memories was becouse the others becames wraiths in other ways but scratch became one the normal way dying on the inside
