Kind of surprised they didn't release the Kenner Ecto 1A, honestly. It would have been such an easy reuse of the Ecto 1 mold that they've already made. As for most iconic playset, probably would be the Firehouse by default. I don't think I ever played with any other playsets. I MAY have played with a friend's batcave, but it's been so long I don't really remember. I had the firehouse, though, and loved it growing up.
Had so many of these toys. My only disappointment was that they didn't make it big enough to actually park the Ecto 1 in it. Just a hair bigger Kenner. Poor Janine was always getting run over every time they parked lol
I had it. I never really figured out how the containment unit worked, and maybe that's because I always it assumed was rightside up when it was actually upside down. One issue I had was I found it rather empty. I wish the third floor had some furniture, but I would pretend Fearsome Flush was a actual toilet.
my mom make me get rid of mine as a kid, it wan't untill i was in my late 20s when I got it back. now I have 2 and I repainted one to make it more like the real building in NYC.
Thanks for the comment 🙂 Totally understand that point of view, and it was a consideration. With the ones that are already missing I hadn't got a problem with getting new parts to fill a gap, but I'm currently in agreement with you on not replacing parts that are there, even if they're broken. I'd rather keep what's there 😊
I got extremely lucky and my mom kept an extra firehouse in the box just in case my brother and/or myself broke the one we opened. And I'm sorry dude but I don't agree with making 3D parts. Original or nothing.

I had the Hall of Justice for Super Powers and Fortress Maximus for Transformers.

I have one right now, brand new still sealed in the box 👍
That's awesome!

Love that idea!
I think replacing with 3d printed stuff is a ship of Theseus situation. It's not the same firehouse.
Thanks for the comment 🙂

@GeekFigureFan I think it adds to the character.
Me too!
