First of all, I absolutely loved doing this interview. Paul is just such a great, thoughtful dude. Second, the part where he talks about feeling that fire in his belly and that insatiable desire to practice at and compete in his craft is, IMO, one of the realest and most relatable moments we’ve captured on this show.
Been a fan since season 1 and I lit up seeing this interview ! As a skater of 16 years Paul has been the greatest role model and master of longevity✨✨🔥
Been rockin with Paul since day one, it’s great to see him still inspiring the community of skateboard. Gonna miss the good old days of skating 2000-2009
I’m right there with you on the timeframe. Started skating till 2007 though. Some good times but I didn’t have skill to ever make it pro lol just purely for fun and hanging out with friends in the summer to be out all day.
@@TechOutAdam Damn, I wish I was born around those times. I literally WAS born 2007 lol. Turned 16 two weeks ago. I really hope skateboarding becomes my profession.
Some people train extremely hard for years to even do one trick that P Rod was doing in his first year of skateboarding, he was and is a prodigy in this field.
Man I love P-Rod. When I was 4 my dad would always show me his skate videos and even got me a board from then on I’ve always been on a board. Now I’m 24 still a huge P-Rod fan and skater
@@american_nightmar3 haha, I had the same moment not too long ago. I was talking to another skater who was 26 then it hit me that we were close in age. Still feels like I’m 18 sometimes.
This video was so damn inspirational. It hit me at a very important time in my life. And so stoked to have u put this out, with a hero of mine. Great video! 💯
The admiration of Koston he has is the same for me and also the same I fell towards P.rod. ‘Til this day try to emulate PRod’s style. That’s just so legendary
This was wonderfully crafted. I grew up skating and P was the skater I idolised. It give great insight into work, life, dreams management. So many of us get lost just wanting to do something, but developing a business mindset, money management, building a family all have to be carefully navigated. Listening to your gut feeling, staying true to yourself are just beautiful takeaways from this interview! Great work!
I grew up watching P rod and he was my favorite skater. I just turned 30. It’s awesome watching him mature and set up his future after skating. It’s awesome to see what pro athletes do after there initial sport. Not even about the money. Just having a passion and enjoying what you do on a day to day basis
Paul Rodriguez!. Street dreams is a look behind doors for some people who don't know... I didn't even like skating but thanks to you I can enjoy this therapeutic sport 🐐🇲🇽
I’m Mexican and I didn’t know that was he’s father. At the very start when I saw oh that’s his dad. That guy. That comic. That dude broke barriers in the comedy scene. Everything made perfect sense and why he a successful person as a whole. His father is a comedy legend !
dude p-rod has been a legend in the skate community for a while now. thanx u for giving his flowers. and thanx you for this episode. dude is a hood legend for sure.💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
I use to watch Forecast multiple times a day, use to pause it and study it frame by frame like a mad man. Ive always been a position-less skater; been skating switch since day one, thats because of Paul. Such a solid interview. The GOAT.
If you had to describe P-ROD in one word, its.. INSPIRATION! I love this dude and the way he effects the world around him. I felt like I was listening to myself talk about my own child hood we have so much in common.. Hopefully one day my drive will have our paths crossing!
Its good when u have a passion for something. Not everyone is blessed to have that put into them. Cuz we always hear of so many people going through life feeling numb and just going through the motions. Maybe those people gave up their passion or never had one to begin with. And u cant copy someone elses passion that shitll never work. Only thing though is that when u have a passion for something, u cant be lazy at all cuz letting your potential go to waste is the greatest regret in life.
Wow. So Paul. You were My Tom penny. My LiveJournal profile pic has you doing a nollie lip on a rail. Your street cinema part had us so hype. Your shoes once you got on Nike were the only thing I'd wear. I appreciate you. Thank you for being such a good role model. Sincerely, a 36 year old skate rat.
Amazing interview! Towards the end Paul made me realize that the dreams never fade! (But I know I have to work on finding them again..) Thank you P-Rod!
It's really good to see an offspring of a celebrity not mooching off of the parent. He has his own goals and dreams. His father motivated him to be a better version of himself.
Paul Rodriguez was heavily against P-Rod skateboarding. He said he's very happy his son didn't listen to him just like how he didn't listen to his father.
@@TechOutAdam honestly I would’ve been against my son’s skateboarding for the fact that I don’t want them to get hurt but once I see that they can handle it then I’ll be good.
Great episode !! So many gems it’s fun to gain gems from professionals outside ones aspiring craft that fresh perspective is so amazing and even more so when it comes from someone who you might’ve not expected or not know much about such a awesome guy idea generation is such a god send
paul is one of the reasons i started skating seeing the artistic side of skating through the green label art commercial one of those pivotal moments in what made me start skatin
Paul is truly an inspiration, he's been one of my favorite skaters since I was a kid first seen him when I bought the Yeah Right dvd. He has suck a smooth fluid style.
I'm 43 years old teaching my son to skate, I have a Primitive board, I'm very particular about the size and shape of them boards I like and primitive boards are some of my favorite. 8.125

Good ole days of 2000-2009?! Bro without the late 80s and 90s none of this exists. You gotta extend that window.
this is awesome
I grew up in the same neighborhood with him. Skated the docks and street spots. Man so good to see a true Valley boy make it! We love you Pauly!

PROD skated some spots and parks in AZ in the early 2000s. Would say he has great energy and soul, he deserves everything that came to him.
I had no idea P-Rod is so wise and intelligent. He knows how to be a skater and business man really down to earth person.
Great work Paul! ❤
Very motivational and inspiring! Thanks 🙏
My skate clic idolized p-rod and all those Nike/plan-B cats. The tre flips were so on point.
