Great to see a UK council thinking and using modular homes/tiny houses to solve housing issues. We shouldn’t have to fall into the common route of life getting into debt for some big fancy show off house or apartments, and the lifestyle that goes with it. I have done it and just kept spending my time cleaning rooms that I did not really need and impressing people I did not really like. Changing my life around, now. I’ve been following the tiny house movement going on in America for a decade. It is a good choice to move forward with. Well done Cornwall Council. ❤
It is a good way of getting the homeless out of the streets and helping them to stand up again, be able to access a shower often, cook and eat hot meals and feel protected at night. I hope rent is paid by the council and not a way to get the homeless into debt!
There brilliant every county should start doing these, inside they are like a hotel room, there's always spare farm land. There's a huge housing problem in all county's not just Cornwall.
as long as it's only a temporary stop gap before the council provide appropriate bricks and mortar real house for these people or these units can be moved into a decent setting with a garden all the way around it - on a countryside spot with a nice view and sold to the person so it's theirs to own for as long as they want , maybe council can give them mortages that only require 100£ or less pay back each month , these solohaus units can't cost more than 25K £ as the Boxabl micro house units from the US are twice as big 20ft x 20ft and cost 50k US $

Love this idea.
Do you have to pay for electric, water, council tax, other ammenities whilst living in one of these ?

Treating human beings like zoo animals.

Fancy prison cell
When your homeless a prison cell seems like luxury 💙🏴💙🏴
Sometimes to have a smaller property could be better, you don't accumulate as much stuff and there's less clutter.
your house is just a larger fancier prison cell - this is an open prison island after all
