stamkos signed for more money with NSH than he’s worth. his contract will age like room temperature milk by year 3. likely even sooner than that.
stamkos at this stage of his career, is not gonna be playing top 6 center minutes for most teams worth a shit, such as NSH. they are going to find out very quickly he doesn’t have the wheels to be a top 6 center in this league anymore. he has remained relevant because of where he gets fed pucks from arguably the best passer in the league. his 5v5 scoring has decreased the last 3 years. 19 of his 40 goals last season came from the PP. he also doesn't have much of a 2-way game as he was a dogshit -21.

Best thing for Tampa was getting rid of Stamkos. He has lingering injuries he’s not a born leader so was never a good pick for captain. Sure he scores goals but let’s face it they all from the same plays usually. Mediocre player. Time will tell but Stamkos in my opinion isn’t a great!
