Love how it turned out. When I edge my decks, I seal them with distress glaze which makes them waterproof. The only downside is that they won't take any more colors but, the colors look shinier and rich. Sometimes the black edging kind of have a purple shine to it, but the glaze gets rid of that leaving you with a great looking plain black.
WOW. This deck turned out amazing. Fabulous job! I think it looks way better trimmed. The larger corner rounder and the black edging is perfect. Great video as always:)

I AM extra precious with this deck since it was my first tarot, but I have several copies now so this weekend I finally modded one, making some mistakes at first and using your tips for guidance. I left the titles on this one, but I'm going to mod another copy down to the art like you did. I don't yet have the shinier cardstock, but your modded deck reminds me of a black scrying mirror, which ties into the novels this deck is associated with. Beautiful job!
I still am at what I consider mid-beginner stage with practicing & reading tarot but I did purchase this deck when I first started and those borders and words got sliced right off & modded lol. The book is really thorough and I actually think it is a good addition to learning combined with a rws clone because in the guide book Maggie does go over what each card follows regarding rws but then also adds her wisdom as well and I love my deck, albeit smaller but I like mini lol. Plus I feel modding even just edging helps forge an even stronger, personal connection with the deck and I’m also big on guidebooks so I absolutely do not mind flipping through pages. I'm new to your channel and I love your videos. Thanks so much for doing this video on the Raven's Prophecy Tarot. This was the very first non-traditional (not Rws-based) tarot deck I ever purchased and I love it. 🤔 Though "have it your way" is one of my favourite catchphrases, I am nowhere yet near comfortable with the idea of modifying a tarot deck in any way. Looks complicated... I just kinda figure that when a deck is for me I'll buy it, and will simply wait for a borderless version to be released. It is very liberating to see others alter their decks to their liking though. -Excellent videos, please keep it up. I'd much rather relax by bingeing on your videos than watching other things. This was such a wonderful surprise! I own the Raven’s Prophecy deck…it’s one of my decks that I feel the closest connection with but I have the same feeling about those orange borders. I’ve never modded a deck, but I have seriously been considering it for this deck. Seeing how yours turned out has absolutely convinced me. Great to see the Raven's Prophecy. It's one of my oldest decks that I feel really close to, although I have never really read with it. I have always liked the orange borders. And as I don't come from a Halloween country, it never evokes that to me either. For me it's like the glow of an open fire. But I always keep an eye out for a cheap copy so I could do the trimmed version as well because I just like the look of that. Unfortunately the deck only seems to get more expensive and I haven't found a cheap copy yet. I think my cardstock was different, very thin and slippy so I just backed it with clear textured contact paper for a better grip. Thanks for this nostalgia trip 🥰

I don't think I will be trimming mine any time soon, but I really do like it. I was going to mention the book series this book ties into, but I see others have done that already. She also has created the Scorpio Sea Tarot to be a companion to another of her books, and I have been considering getting that deck as well.
I would never trim my Raven Prophecy deck, instead I colored the edges with orange sharpie. It looks and feels more magical and appropriate for fall season and Halloween. , I have a weird fascination with orange bordered decks. I absolutely love them. I have the La Croix Tarot.
I love this deck (and like the font :D) I kept the titles but removed the borders (though I wanted to keep them for the connection with the stories) because all I saw was the orange on the table. Love how yours turned out. ♥

Absolutely adored this video! I too have the Ravens Prophecy deck, but I had not thought of trimming it. I loved how it turned out and how the artwork totally takes on a new vibe. I did how ever edge mine and I’m curious if the Tombow marker leaves black on your fingers when you start shuffling and using the deck? I used crayola on mine, also in black, and I still get a little black on my fingers afterwards.
I generally don't have any trouble with the black tombow, but it does depend on the cardstock and how well it absorbs the ink. But most of the time, I don't get any transfer with my tombows as long as I let them dry well. I hope that helps!
I’d use the Raven’s Prophecy as an oracle now, it was already hard to associate the cards to tarot - the art is lovely just not really tarot to me. I am not a fan of the distressed look but the coloration on the Fallen Angels deck came out lovely.
