An orchestral arrangement of "Silent Solitude" by OxT, from the series Overlord.
It's been a while, which unfortunately isn't exactly a good thing. I had wanted to finish this during the first week of the new year but ended up feeling really lazy, hence why this got released now two weeks later. Sucks, but it is what it is I suppose. Anyways, I thought the Overlord anime was fairly enjoyable when I watched it, but apparently it doesn't really come close to the novels which I haven't read yet so I definitely have reading them on my to-do list for the near future. At the very least I have seen a lot of the illustrations, and good lord the artist so-bin has such a unique art style that I think really suits the series' aesthetic to a T. All the artwork in this video is by him! As for the cover, this song is pretty underrated but I fell in love with it the moment I heard it so it was either going to be this or Voracity. Went with a more electronic sound design this time around since something about it just felt fitting for Overlord. Hope you all enjoy!

What I really like about this orchestra cover is how it manages to change the vibe of the original. This feels emotionally uplifting and it simply sounds amazing!
How an absolutely gorgeous cover like this can end up with such fewer views is just beyond me.....

My only peeve is that it FEELS kinda....incomplete? Halfway in the video, there's some parts looking like they're not expressing the lyrics as accurately enough. But maybe thats just me.
Either way, the instruments you used are quite beautiful and I definitely would like to hear more works from ya.

That's totally fair in regards to the inaccurate representation of the lyrics! I try to make my covers not adhere to the original melody too faithfully in certain parts just to give them a little bit of personal flair, but I can definitely see how that might not be for everyone.

Dropping the track by one scale not only made it close enough to the original song, it actually made it sound more like it would fit in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. All it needs is some more techno-synth elements.
