Sleep training is seriously such a necessity and it never hurts to start early. Sleep consultants are lifesavers too. My cousin used a consultant and completely regulated her baby's sleep within a week, it's been consistent ever since and she also wishes she did it sooner!
You guys are strong AF for surviving a whole 10mos without sleep training!! I’m like Chia and NEED my sleep I could NOT have waited that long (I finally threw in the towel and sleep trained at 6mos old) It is literally SO hard (hearing the crying, missing the naps/snuggles/etc.) but incredibly worth it!! Having uninterrupted sleep is life changing not only for you guys but SO good for Veyda to figure out and get some independence!
I feel you brother.."Agonizing" is probably the best word to describe the feeling of sleep training. The first night of training my daughter was tough..but hang in strong it will get better. The second night my wife and I finally experienced again how it feels like to sleep 8 hrs straight lol.
@@BrittBabe90 Honestly, we tried almost everything, Ferber method, pick up-put down method, from watching other peoples youtube channels to even Tiktok lol. And the only one that worked for our daughter was for her to cry it out. Every baby is different so the best advice I can give you is to try everything and see how your baby responds to it. Just remember the most important thing for you and your partner is to stay committed to whatever sleep training method seems to work and def start early (5-6 months) so it becomes a routine for them. From a parent to a parent I wish you good luck :) lol
I am reliving my baby time with you both. The one word responses will come so fast your mind's will be blown. Time moves at lightening speed. Enjoy it.
As a first time mom with a baby, this makes me so freakin sad lol. Especially because I was a one worder at some point. Hopefully my son is sweeter than me!
Please post a nighttime routine video!! I loved to see what gets her so sleepy at night 😄 my daughter is 8 months and I feel like she’s never tired after her baths!
You guys doing a great job. I sleep train my son at 2 months and taught him to self sooth him self.. it hurts to have them cry it out but it will be totally worth it..
Parents out there has anyone sleep trained but your baby still doesn’t sleep through the night? My boy is 6 mos and puts himself down for all sleeps but still wakes once or twice at night to nurse. I don’t feed him right away and sometimes he goes back to sleep without it. Not interested in completely night weaning either since I don’t mind. I’m just so curious because it seems like everyone equates “sleep training” to sleeping through the night and it just hasn’t been my experience! Although I’m sure it has contributed to those blissful 7-9 hour stretches he does on occasion.
Both my kids I sleep trained at 5-6 months and neither slept through the night til 10 months lol but they were able to put themselves to sleep on their own and did naps great too. So for that I think sleep training works!
@@hellobrklynheyLA okay thanks!! I think that’ll be the case for my boy. I just haven’t heard of parents who sleep trained but still wake up at night lol. Glad to hear I’m not alone.
It gets easier with sleep training! Treat it as a new skill for her! With any new skill it takes time to learn and it can feel frustrating (and babies will cry as a form of coping and communicating). Crying doesn't hurt the baby! Hang in there its so so so worth it. I sleep trained my son at 7 weeks using extinction and have never regretted. Happiest baby youll see around 🤣
where is your sleep training consultants info? lol my baby is just reaching 2 mo. but i’m starting to do research now. I go back to work in 3 weeks and i do not want to be a grouchy bear at work
You do what’s best for you and your baby! If sleep training is what’s best then go for it! Factoring your well-being into the care of your child is not selfish it’s the complete opposite and I applaud you for knowing you matter! You and you alone knows what’s best for your child and don’t let anybody tell you any different! Hoping you get the sleep you both need.
Sleep training trains baby to believe that no one is coming for them and psychologically they adapt to that but it’s not without ramifications in life.
Omg I need to sleep train my daughter it’s bad. She wakes up to look for me every night because I’ve bed co sleeping with her and my husband wants her out of our bed so bad!

@@morales5412 you don’t really need to hire a sleep consultant to tell you an obvious baby training technique is what I was getting at. Each to their own tho!
lol leaving them in another room isnt sleep training. You gotta put them in a crib next to you then slowly move it away as the days ago by and eventually you do it with the door semi closed then closed then another room. Then its not a traumatic sudden experience for the baby.
Why need a sleep consultant if it's to ignore your baby calling out to you until she realizes nobody's going to help her and she should just give up? Confused...
Feeding, playing, and providing emotional security to a child does not mean turn that on any and every-time they cry, pout, or throw a tantrum. That’s reinforcing negative behavior. Children are plenty intelligent enough to differentiate going to bed vs daily neglect. This comment doesn’t even make sense if the parents are saying the child is behaving better already.
Kinda like how people hire a fitness trainer even though yea, I could just go to the gym by myself. Having someone to tell me a proper schedule of what to do, and a more organized process helps. This lady has us doing very specific times and steps
I can’t wait for Veyda to start talking, I know she’s going to be a chatterbox in multiple languages with her cute self!

I'm glad the sleep training is going well guys!
Shared this with my brother and his gf hope they get a good night sleep also

Gotta say you're doing your parent thing hard.

The laugh Tim makes for Veyda reminds me of the laughter Shawn and Marlon made to imitate the Wilson sister's laughs in White Chicks. 🥴🥴🥴
