i bought a Fiat Ducato Swift escape 674 in January from Brownhills in Newark, drove it back home 202 miles and parked it on my drive awaiting a space in a local storage facility.
each week i would start up tghe engine and run it for about 10 minutes just to keep battery up.
Our first planned break away was scheduled over the Easter period, on the Wednesday before Good Friday went out as usual to start up the engine , all display lights etc, but would not start.
Ended up calling out Fiat assist to my location and after about 45 minutes the technician could not get it started and eventually agreed it would have to be taken to a Fiat approved specialist.
Currently the vehicle is still there , they have managed to get engine started but after 20 seconds or so it cuts out. At least they have got it started which is more than happened on my drive.
They are saying it could be a Body Control Module fault I just want our motorhome back now we were so looking forward to our break away but at least the campsites qe had booked have held our bookings over.

OMG Malcolm that’s the stuff of bad dreams!! What a saga - the pain and the pleasure of motorhoming and I very much hope the pleasure soon overtakes these first less pleasant memories !!
Fiat were great when we had to get warranty work completed so 🤞🤞🤞
Thanks for watching and speedy repairs!! ☀️🚌
