There's this weird glitch that happens as the DIO fight progresses, the game would pause randomly and whenever the pause ends, Jotaro randomly takes damage and Kakyoin dies with Joseph, what do I do?
You can't do anything to stop that, the game freezing is actually an ability used by DIO, and the deaths are scripted. You have to stop time yourself to defeat DIO, but thats not available to use until later on.
If you wanna play the 4th game, just know that the pause thing is necessary multiple times, and you only get it for 2 seconds. Idk why they don’t tell you this early in the game, but whatever
The fight is insane. What you have to do is, as Jotaro, pause the game. You can then move on paused time, and see what DIO does. Be careful, though, because you only have a few seconds of motion, and DIO has an instant kill attack. When he uses that, you have to start moving just when he appears (you'll know it when you see it) and then there are two QTE's before the final cutscene

Funny things I found during my playthrough: -Sending Joseph against alessi makes Joseph lose his stand and wear a diferent outfit -if you pause during battles Jotaro and Dio still move (i think it's a glitch) -in the vanilla ice fight you can make avdol loses his hands or legs instead of dying -Dio can't hit you if you're more than 5 tiles away (accidentally found because I tried to make the the best ending)
Yes Although it's the only way to beat Gray Fly, but they often don't upgrade Emerald Splash enough to have 87% accuracy, because in their words it "doesn't do anything" and "the emerald splash is so easy to block" even though with upgrades it's unblockable.
Don't forget it lowers the enemy's evasion, so you can use it to make your Tentacle Grab more likely to hit. It's really helpful on the Tower of Grey boss fight
Emerald Splash is extremely specific in its hitbox. Can't really blame them myself for not being able to land it. If so much as one pixel of an opponent is out of the way, they'll still take a lot of damage, but they won't die to it unless their health is low. I play Joseph due to Hermit Purple reminding me of Simon Belmont's Vampire Slayer.

For both of you, you can only win this fight as Jotaro. If you play as any other character, you either die, or get knocked out. Then, even if you get to the fight with him, he can pause the game for 5 seconds, and he can still move in it. At the end, when Dio uses Road Roller, pause the game, and you can attack.
The NES version of this was good, but I wish they made SNES remake. The DS version where they added it to the DS was pretty good too. Cant believe the final boss though, was fr amazing how you had to pause the game in order not die to the road roller. The frame perfect parts where really difficult also, DIO seemed to teleport across the screen. I think I figured out how to beat it since if you pause it within a couple frames, you are able to see how hes doing it and can briefly fight during the pause. FR best game ever, its such a shame it has no side quests unlike its sequel and the original game. Also, forgot to mention on the final boss the intro to the game changes slightly if you pause it towards the end.
I always thought sono chi no kioku sounded like a final boss theme, so this here just made my day. Also, I would make a joke based on a retro video game, but I couldn't think of one.
Thank you for being one of the few to remix End of the World and actually get the pitches correct. People like Siiva make that mistake and it disappoints me.
Here are tips to beat Dio (again) 1. Make sure you do not take too much damage 2. Dio is weaker to Star Platinum Attacks 3. Jotaro cannot beat dio alone, send Kakyoin or Polnereff to help out 4. Note that Avdol is supposed to protect Joseph, do not send him, he is weak to The World 5. Kakyoin can hold dio in place for 8 seconds, that gives Jotaro enough time to start a combo. 6. Joseph MUST NOT DIE during this fight (if he dies the mission ends) 7. Iggy cannot help at all unless you bring a bag of sand (Avdol and Polnereff brings some) 8. Send Iggy to chase the car so Dio won't escape 9. if Dio uses The World to stop time while your low, youre fucked. 10. During the fight, Jotaro will gain the *"Time Stop"* ability, use that if Kakyoin gets knocked 11. When Dio is on 1% health, use Stardust Crusader Team Attack, you must use that to get *"The Best Ending"*
for all of you who dot know to do the dio boss, what i did is used kakyoin to unlock the "secret of the world" badge, i did the same thing with joseph and then jotaro i proceedded to use jotaro for the final boss since the "secret of the world" badge made it so you can see time stop and move in it for a little you have to do the b+a+ left right left combo to parry the knives you needa hold your block for the kick barrage for the road roller i paused right as it was finished and i did the kick on dio to knock him down he then lost all his health and died once i unlocked dios corpse and since i unlocked heart beating ability i revived joseph and wouldve done it to kakyoin but his heart was gone btw when your doing the "playing dead" mini game use polanareff and then switch back to jotaro

stand proud in an 8 bit remix sounds like a final vampire boss, and sono no kioku in an 8 bit remix sounds like escaping from the vampire castle as it crumbles down after defeating the vampire
@SuperSansCraft 1212 What about Earthbound Gygas as his stand? With Giegue, (the "fetus" form of Gygas in Earthbound beginnings) or Ness as its user. Note: Mewtwo's design was inspired by Giegue. They were created by ape/creatures inc. Both yield psychic powers, are aliens (Mew lives in space) and have both and Mewtwo's backstory in the anime is pretty similar to Giegue's. What do you think about it?

Full Guide to beating DIO. First of all, before you enter the fight with DIO, equip item book and magazine on Jotaro’s SPECIAL equipment slot. This is vital to not getting a bad ending. Note: If you grinded Jotaro up to level 76 or above before DIO, you will not get the super stat boost during DIO’s battle, effectively putting you at a disadvantage during Diamond Is Unbreakable. Also resetting your level to 75. For the first stage of the fight, you’re playing Kakyoin. you HAVE to use Kakyoin’s ultimate: 「20 Meter Radius Emerald Splash」to get the good ending. Here you’ll watch a cutscene. Suddenly, Hierophant’s Barrier will be destroyed and a few moments later Kakyoin will suffer a mortal blow to his stomach. Watch the cutscene and *PAY ATTENTION.* Kakyoin will give a vital hint to defeating DIO and not paying attention will end in you dying in the final battle and getting a bad ending until you figure it out. Kakyoin’s death is scripted and you can’t do anything about it. Next, you’ll play as Joseph. be sure to wrap yourself in hermit purple’s vines and use your ultimate, 「Hermit Purple and Hamon」, to make sure you don’t get annihilated by The World’s punch. You have a time limit here (about 2 minutes) and you might not know where to go. Running out of time here ends in you getting cornered by DIO and you’ll get a bad ending. Try and go to Jotaro and watch the cutscene. The game might be paused at this point, and when you unpause it Joseph will have a knife in his throat. Don’t worry, his death is scripted as well. By this point you’ll be playing as Jotaro. Use Star Platinum’s Stand Rush against DIO and he’ll stand rush as well. Quickly use the item Magnet then watch the cutscene and you’ll be thrown in the air. He’ll pause the game again. Be sure to spam attack to move your finger. Watch the cutscene. The game pauses once again. If you didn’t use the magnet earlier then DIO will kill you. Use a heavy attack to punch a hole in his stomach. Watch the cutscene and respond answering you don’t know. You’ll see a cutscene then DIO will reveal a ridiculous amount of knives. Stand jump at this point otherwise you’ll die. DIO will pause the game at this point, he’ll throw the knives at you and you NEED to spam Star Platinum’s Stand Rush to deflect the first knives. The game will unpause and you have to rapidly use Star Platinum’s Stand Rush or else you’ll be put at too low hp to withstand his other attacks. You’ll be hit with most of the knives and you’ll get a fake game over. You have to press a button to not get an actual game over. Pressing the button reveals that you’re alive. The magazine and book will protect you from being mortally wounded from the knives. Not equipping it prior nets a bad ending. Here, you’ll be on the floor. Quick time events will be littered here. DIO will check if you’re still alive. Watch the cutscene. Then suddenly, Polnareff will stab DIO’s head with Silver Chariot’s rapier, saving you. He pauses the game and K.Os Polnareff. This particular QTE is important in getting the good ending. Failing this ends up with Polnareff dead and getting the Normal ending. Here, you finish the second final Quick Time Event for this section. This particular QTE is pretty hard though. At this point, don’t press ANY button, then use Star Platinum to stop your heart from beating. In the final QTE, be careful to get it correctly. After finishing the QTE, watch the cutscene. DIO will pause the game again and run away. Go to the sewers otherwise you’ll get a bad ending. Here, the game automatically Stand Rushes for you. Watch the cutscene and DIO will absorb Joseph’s blood, fully healing him and getting a massive powerup This is one of the few times where you will use Star Platinum’s guard command to defend against DIO’s onslaught. Withdraw Star Platinum into your body for protection against fall damage. DIO pauses the game and you have to count 7 seconds. Stand Rush at the 7th count because DIO will be dropping a road roller. Jotaro gets forced leveled up to level 75 and then you get Star Platinum’s ultimate (finally!), 「Star Platinum: The World」, along with alot of stat boosts. Mash the attack button then, use your ultimate as soon as Jotaro gets crushed. Watch the cutscene, then do the final QTE for the game. You’ll be partially blinded at this point so it’ll be very hard to land it. Once you get it correct, you win. Watch the ending cutscenes and the epilogue. Also, your stats and armor get transferred to the next game, Diamond is Unbreakable, so enjoy your level 75 Jotaro! Edit: Note, the PAUSE effect DIO's stand is negated after the magnet segment.
Why do I keep dying as Kakyoin? I maxed him and HG out, but the game paused just as I was about to 20 Meter Radius Emerald Splash Dio and I got launched into a water tower. I keep reloading but the same thing keeps happening. Also I swear I saw Dio move when it paused. Kakyoin is super OP, he almost defeated me when I started the game, but Dio keeps.... Wait... guys, did you know by not winning the dio fight and standing still in ts behind him. there is a easter egg? it's hard to pull off but the reward is a sweet new story mode, where you unlock dio and fight jotaro, and if you win there. you unlock dio as a playable character in vs mode. and you can destroy your friends with the 9 second time stop
The final battle with DIO was the hardest part for me so heres some tips After joseph says the secret of the world old man will take damage be ready to walk towards DIO and mash the a/b button Next make sure to use your stand jump this allows you to fly Use the secret joestar technique while keeping distance with DIO this will prevent you from getting hit Eventually he will stop time make sure to press pause 3 seconds before he does it this will allow you to not get damaged Keep fighting Eventually you will almost defeat DIO but dont get fooled DIO will suck old man's blood but note that he is still a playable character DIO is now stronger than ever, next wait for Polnareff and pretend your dead by holding X Eventually DIO will get to you mash A at the perfect time During the last part DIO will get a roadroller to crush you Mashing A or B will not help and will get you killed Mash X and then pause the game after dio says NANABYOUKEIKA Then a cut scene plays then when jotaro gets to the road roller mash A and B at the same time do it before time runs out then the rest is history

Jotaro's special attack
There's this weird glitch that happens as the DIO fight progresses, the game would pause randomly and whenever the pause ends, Jotaro randomly takes damage and Kakyoin dies with Joseph, what do I do?
You can't do anything to stop that, the game freezing is actually an ability used by DIO, and the deaths are scripted. You have to stop time yourself to defeat DIO, but thats not available to use until later on.
If you wanna play the 4th game, just know that the pause thing is necessary multiple times, and you only get it for 2 seconds. Idk why they don’t tell you this early in the game, but whatever
Try pausing the game yourself after the glitch started
The fight is insane. What you have to do is, as Jotaro, pause the game. You can then move on paused time, and see what DIO does. Be careful, though, because you only have a few seconds of motion, and DIO has an instant kill attack. When he uses that, you have to start moving just when he appears (you'll know it when you see it) and then there are two QTE's before the final cutscene
Its a scripted death and DIO's abilitiy is to pause the game whenever he wants, Kinda fourth wall breaking.

The fights in Act 2 Level 7 were part of DIO's World in the original, but in my opinion, The Faraway Journey, Farewell Friends sounded better than DIO's World (2/2).

Funny things I found during my playthrough:
-Sending Joseph against alessi makes Joseph lose his stand and wear a diferent outfit
-if you pause during battles Jotaro and Dio still move (i think it's a glitch)
-in the vanilla ice fight you can make avdol loses his hands or legs instead of dying
-Dio can't hit you if you're more than 5 tiles away (accidentally found because I tried to make the the best ending)
So many plebs who chose to play kakyoin can’t hit anything with his one shot kill emerald splash.

Although it's the only way to beat Gray Fly,
but they often don't upgrade Emerald Splash enough to have 87% accuracy, because in their words it "doesn't do anything" and "the emerald splash is so easy to block" even though with upgrades it's unblockable.
Don't forget it lowers the enemy's evasion, so you can use it to make your Tentacle Grab more likely to hit. It's really helpful on the Tower of Grey boss fight
Emerald Splash is extremely specific in its hitbox. Can't really blame them myself for not being able to land it. If so much as one pixel of an opponent is out of the way, they'll still take a lot of damage, but they won't die to it unless their health is low.
I play Joseph due to Hermit Purple reminding me of Simon Belmont's Vampire Slayer.

i have been trying to beat the final boss with just Kakyoin, but Dio keeps glitching and killing me instantly help pls?

For both of you, you can only win this fight as Jotaro. If you play as any other character, you either die, or get knocked out. Then, even if you get to the fight with him, he can pause the game for 5 seconds, and he can still move in it. At the end, when Dio uses Road Roller, pause the game, and you can attack.
@@piper964 you forgot to mention dio counter attack where tou have to maxcharge a heavy attack so you dont instantly die by a kick
some guy gaming you get blinded so you need to guess when the kick is coming. be sure to attack at the right time, there’s a sound cue for it!

The NES version of this was good, but I wish they made SNES remake. The DS version where they added it to the DS was pretty good too. Cant believe the final boss though, was fr amazing how you had to pause the game in order not die to the road roller. The frame perfect parts where really difficult also, DIO seemed to teleport across the screen. I think I figured out how to beat it since if you pause it within a couple frames, you are able to see how hes doing it and can briefly fight during the pause. FR best game ever, its such a shame it has no side quests unlike its sequel and the original game. Also, forgot to mention on the final boss the intro to the game changes slightly if you pause it towards the end.
End of the world has such a strong tension yet a level intro vibe at the start.
and it damn well deserves to be a final level.

Here are tips to beat Dio (again)
1. Make sure you do not take too much damage
2. Dio is weaker to Star Platinum Attacks
3. Jotaro cannot beat dio alone, send Kakyoin or Polnereff to help out
4. Note that Avdol is supposed to protect Joseph, do not send him, he is weak to The World
5. Kakyoin can hold dio in place for 8 seconds, that gives Jotaro enough time to start a combo.
6. Joseph MUST NOT DIE during this fight (if he dies the mission ends)
7. Iggy cannot help at all unless you bring a bag of sand (Avdol and Polnereff brings some)
8. Send Iggy to chase the car so Dio won't escape
9. if Dio uses The World to stop time while your low, youre fucked.
10. During the fight, Jotaro will gain the *"Time Stop"* ability, use that if Kakyoin gets knocked
11. When Dio is on 1% health, use Stardust Crusader Team Attack, you must use that to get *"The Best Ending"*

for all of you who dot know to do the dio boss, what i did is used kakyoin to unlock the "secret of the world" badge, i did the same thing with joseph and then jotaro
i proceedded to use jotaro for the final boss since the "secret of the world" badge made it so you can see time stop and move in it for a little
you have to do the b+a+ left right left combo to parry the knives
you needa hold your block for the kick barrage
for the road roller i paused right as it was finished and i did the kick on dio to knock him down
he then lost all his health and died
once i unlocked dios corpse and since i unlocked heart beating ability i revived joseph and wouldve done it to kakyoin but his heart was gone
btw when your doing the "playing dead" mini game use polanareff and then switch back to jotaro

Full Guide to beating DIO.
First of all, before you enter the fight with DIO, equip item book and magazine on Jotaro’s SPECIAL equipment slot. This is vital to not getting a bad ending.
Note: If you grinded Jotaro up to level 76 or above before DIO, you will not get the super stat boost during DIO’s battle, effectively putting you at a disadvantage during Diamond Is Unbreakable. Also resetting your level to 75.
For the first stage of the fight, you’re playing Kakyoin. you HAVE to use Kakyoin’s ultimate: 「20 Meter Radius Emerald Splash」to get the good ending. Here you’ll watch a cutscene. Suddenly, Hierophant’s Barrier will be destroyed and a few moments later Kakyoin will suffer a mortal blow to his stomach. Watch the cutscene and *PAY ATTENTION.* Kakyoin will give a vital hint to defeating DIO and not paying attention will end in you dying in the final battle and getting a bad ending until you figure it out. Kakyoin’s death is scripted and you can’t do anything about it.
Next, you’ll play as Joseph. be sure to wrap yourself in hermit purple’s vines and use your ultimate, 「Hermit Purple and Hamon」, to make sure you don’t get annihilated by The World’s punch. You have a time limit here (about 2 minutes) and you might not know where to go. Running out of time here ends in you getting cornered by DIO and you’ll get a bad ending. Try and go to Jotaro and watch the cutscene. The game might be paused at this point, and when you unpause it Joseph will have a knife in his throat. Don’t worry, his death is scripted as well.
By this point you’ll be playing as Jotaro. Use Star Platinum’s Stand Rush against DIO and he’ll stand rush as well. Quickly use the item Magnet then watch the cutscene and you’ll be thrown in the air. He’ll pause the game again. Be sure to spam attack to move your finger. Watch the cutscene. The game pauses once again. If you didn’t use the magnet earlier then DIO will kill you. Use a heavy attack to punch a hole in his stomach. Watch the cutscene and respond answering you don’t know. You’ll see a cutscene then DIO will reveal a ridiculous amount of knives. Stand jump at this point otherwise you’ll die.
DIO will pause the game at this point, he’ll throw the knives at you and you NEED to spam Star Platinum’s Stand Rush to deflect the first knives. The game will unpause and you have to rapidly use Star Platinum’s Stand Rush or else you’ll be put at too low hp to withstand his other attacks. You’ll be hit with most of the knives and you’ll get a fake game over. You have to press a button to not get an actual game over. Pressing the button reveals that you’re alive. The magazine and book will protect you from being mortally wounded from the knives. Not equipping it prior nets a bad ending.
Here, you’ll be on the floor. Quick time events will be littered here. DIO will check if you’re still alive. Watch the cutscene. Then suddenly, Polnareff will stab DIO’s head with Silver Chariot’s rapier, saving you. He pauses the game and K.Os Polnareff. This particular QTE is important in getting the good ending. Failing this ends up with Polnareff dead and getting the Normal ending. Here, you finish the second final Quick Time Event for this section. This particular QTE is pretty hard though. At this point, don’t press ANY button, then use Star Platinum to stop your heart from beating.
In the final QTE, be careful to get it correctly. After finishing the QTE, watch the cutscene. DIO will pause the game again and run away. Go to the sewers otherwise you’ll get a bad ending. Here, the game automatically Stand Rushes for you. Watch the cutscene and DIO will absorb Joseph’s blood, fully healing him and getting a massive powerup
This is one of the few times where you will use Star Platinum’s guard command to defend against DIO’s onslaught. Withdraw Star Platinum into your body for protection against fall damage. DIO pauses the game and you have to count 7 seconds. Stand Rush at the 7th count because DIO will be dropping a road roller.
Jotaro gets forced leveled up to level 75 and then you get Star Platinum’s ultimate (finally!), 「Star Platinum: The World」, along with alot of stat boosts. Mash the attack button then, use your ultimate as soon as Jotaro gets crushed. Watch the cutscene, then do the final QTE for the game. You’ll be partially blinded at this point so it’ll be very hard to land it. Once you get it correct, you win. Watch the ending cutscenes and the epilogue.
Also, your stats and armor get transferred to the next game, Diamond is Unbreakable, so enjoy your level 75 Jotaro!
Edit: Note, the PAUSE effect DIO's stand is negated after the magnet segment.

Why do I keep dying as Kakyoin? I maxed him and HG out, but the game paused just as I was about to 20 Meter Radius Emerald Splash Dio and I got launched into a water tower. I keep reloading but the same thing keeps happening. Also I swear I saw Dio move when it paused. Kakyoin is super OP, he almost defeated me when I started the game, but Dio keeps.... Wait... it's hard to pull off but the reward is a sweet new story mode, where you unlock dio and fight jotaro, and if you win there. you unlock dio as a playable character in vs mode. and you can destroy your friends with the 9 second time stop

The final battle with DIO was the hardest part for me so heres some tips
After joseph says the secret of the world old man will take damage be ready to walk towards DIO and mash the a/b button
Next make sure to use your stand jump this allows you to fly
Use the secret joestar technique while keeping distance with DIO this will prevent you from getting hit
Eventually he will stop time make sure to press pause 3 seconds before he does it this will allow you to not get damaged
Keep fighting
Eventually you will almost defeat DIO but dont get fooled DIO will suck old man's blood but note that he is still a playable character
DIO is now stronger than ever, next wait for Polnareff and pretend your dead by holding X
Eventually DIO will get to you mash A at the perfect time
During the last part DIO will get a roadroller to crush you Mashing A or B will not help and will get you killed
Mash X and then pause the game after dio says NANABYOUKEIKA
Then a cut scene plays then when jotaro gets to the road roller mash A and B at the same time do it before time runs out then the rest is history
