Hi, Great to see these Brookie episodes again. I am trying to get hold of Every Episode, from the very 1st one to the Very Last one. I was sure that they released Video Boxed Sets, but I cannot find anywhere where I can buy them. I don't suppose you have any idea where I could get them, I have just watched this one that you have posted, but, it's sort of annoying watching random episodes. I really wish that they would bring Brookside back to our screens, but I emailed CH4 asking if they could, as I see hundreds of comments on the Brookside Facebook Page, all saying how much they loved Brookie, but in their reply, they said that they had no plans to re-run Brookside, that is a shame, as it really was a great programme. I don't care how I get them, Videos, mp4's whatever, but I would like to try to get them. Cheers Dean
@AZUREGLIDE don't know it might get blocked yet cause with 1986 episodes i uploaded i had to cut the titles out of the episodes so they coud be uploaded. the 1986 episodes i uploaded are of the Nick and Heather storyline when Heather was trying to get Nick of drugs you might like few of them episodes!
Amazing. You can't help but watch it when it's this good. Brookside was at its best when it was purely dialogue driven, rather than being bogged down with sensation for sensation's sake, and stunts. It was a rather quiet and intimate show at its peak. You listen because there are no distractions. You could almost be in those shots with them, it was filmed in a very uncomplicated manner. A show as good as this should have ran for years more than it did. I think it was way better than Coronation Street, Eastenders or Emmerdale are today (And I might dare say ever have been.). When it lost its way during the final five years or so, it needed to calm down and just take a step backwards (A no-no in television.). I can see why Channel 4 axed it, and a part of me admires them not endlessly driving on with a show past its prime. But I don't admire that they didn't give them a fair chance to recover. They earned a huge debt of loyalty from Channel 4 and received none.
beautiful Anna .... and is still as beautiful today!
I liked her too.
I agree Anna is lovely
