    “MJ isn’t human”, that’s what people say. But from The Last Dance, MJ is more human than anybody can think. The only difference is he worked harder, pushed other people [with the ridiculing style], and went extra mile [game with the flu].

      I think by "human" he means normal/ common which's true imo. In life only a fraction of us will realise our full potential. Most people go about life doing a 9-5 they hate for 40 years, retire, then die, never knowing or nurturing their true calling in life.
      Then there's mentality. MJ's mentality is different to 99.99% of us. He had an almost psychopathic will to succeed. This man pulled his calf, trained against doctors orders, then his injured calf became stronger than his healthy calf. Who does that? Then obvs the flu game like you said to.
      He was literally willing to fight & bully his own teammates in order to get the best out of them, most people are even afraid to comfort someone. Aside from Kobe, I can't think of that many other sportsmen who have this sort of mentality. MJ isn't "human"

    Michael and I are from the same town. I worked at the same company as his dad and knew him pretty well. He told me when Michael didn’t make the cut his junior year in high school he practiced almost every night on the goal in their yard until tryouts the next year. Of course he made it and it was no time that word got around about how good he was. People from all around town would go to their home games. I suspect he attracted people not only for his skills but everything you spoke about.

      No such thing as GOAT comparing apples n oranges, same as no greatest game. 1. MJ 1984 1st 3 years out at 1st round, next 3 years lost ECF to Detroit bad boys. 2. 9 players have more than 6 rings Horry had 7, Jabbar, Cousy, MJ, Pippen 6 each only! 3. LBJ will always have bigger fan base than MJ who considers him GOAT too, even Kobe shall have more fans than MJ now that he is gone. Only FACT is MJ is the richest NBA player among active, retired or dead-1st billionaire if not yet!

    • @purplemonkeydishwasher4241
      @purplemonkeydishwasher4241 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @epaq808 You're completely delusional if you think LeBron James and Kobe have a bigger fan base than Jordan. Jordan has the biggest fan base of any American athlete. You mention that Jordan lost in the first round his first three years but fail to mention his best teammates those years were Orlando Woolridge and Charles Oakley. Meanwhile Jordan was going against the loaded Milwaukee Bucks and the historically great Boston Celtics. Also, when the Bulls were going against the Pistons, Detroit had a far more talented team. Pippen and Grant were only raw rookies the first year they played Detroit and it took them a few years to develop. Your comment reeks of ignorance and bias.

    Great video as usual Pat. Thank you for everything. My biggest personal take away from the last dance was the fact that MJ showed up every match because for him there was always one guy in the crowd who has never seen him live and he wanted to show that unique person how great he was. Keep on the good work Pat

    Kareem is in the discussion. I know I know I’m old.. but I saw Kareem play. Best high school player ever, best collage player ever, 6 time champion and leader, won titles with 2 different teams. All time scoring leader, had unstoppable indefensible skyhook move. You gotta put Kareem in there man!

    Pat you just give us best free lessons on The Last Dance, all these NBA pundits are a waste of time, instead of talking about what matters, that will change people's life they busy debating who the better career is, who is the better teammate.

    Back in the day sportscasters used the phrase, 'man among boys' to describe Jordan's moves on the court. Jordan's timing as he approached the basket was surreal.

    There was only 1 name in basketball for every kid in Chicago in the 90’s with a basketball and a hoop.
    Michael Jordan.

      Andrew Ndambuki I’ll admit to dropping a few “I wanna be like Mike!” As a kid.
      Hell our CPS school gym had a life size poster of Jordan with a height measurement on the side showing off both Mike’s, and the kids height so that helped it along. Wonder how many kids mentally tried to force themselves to grow taller, lol.
      Be interesting to find out how many of our generation tried to get into college on a basketball scholarship.
