On my only trip (so far) to Scotland I only had 3 days available. I had always wanted to play Royal Dornoch so that was the destination. I played four rounds there in two days, but the day before that I drove up to Brora. When I finished the trip I knew that I would never play a better course than Dornoch, but when I think of the trip 6 years later, it's Brora that stands out as more memorable. The location is perfect, its a great course that's really fun to play, and sharing the fairways with sheep and cattle just makes it better. I think if my tee times had not already been made at Dornoch, I would have played at least one more round at Brora before ever getting there. It is a golf club that should not be left out of any trip to the highlands.
Don't miss taking an afternoon to get up to Brora when you are visiting Dornoch and/or the Highlands of Scotland! You will not be disappointed! You will truly experience golf as it was played in the early days.
