Great question Timothy!!! I don't know. I thought more about the stiffness of the rod for varying hook position on retrieval? I know using a stiff rod tip will tear out a lot of hooks and cause some foul hooking problems but I will have to talk to my buddies about this one. The old man don't know everything you know LOL. It was our best day for Walleye this year. Stockton is one of the most beautiful lakes in Missouri and I love taking pictures of the scenery. As for the P38, I used it again today on a float trip. Thanks as usual Timothy.

Nice vid Jerry, I have made the plunge got a used Bennington 22 foot fish and cruise pontoon parked at a slip at Paintsville Lake Ky. I can crutch right up on it and away we go. YEHAA from East Ky ps Kind of worried about the water quality where you were that last walleye had its own bottle of water. LOL

The two lures we caught them was a #6 Flicker Shad and a Jointed Rapala Shadrap. These are always our go-to or start-out with lures. Thanks again for watching.

I caught my first fish at age 5 by sneaking out of bed and going to the pond. It was a sizable bass and I have a picture of that fish. I'm not sure when we were allowed to fish alone as bothers but judging by the pictures I think I was about 10 which means approximately 69 years. I know for sure we were walking the 2 I/2 miles to the creek and fishing all day by ourselves when I was 12. There wasn't much else to do in the middle of Mark Twain National Forest where we were raised. When I was 6 I had my own fly rod and my dad would let me put my feet in the back pockets of his pants. He would reach back and hold me there while he waded the creek and fished with the fly rod over his back.
My brother and I absolutely love your channel and all your videos. I was hoping to get some advice. What speed do you troll at and are you using the big motor or trolling motor? Thanks for your time and all the amazing videos!
Tim thanks for asking. When trolling with Crank Baits for most fish we like to troll between 2.0 and 2.5 MPH. That's even true for Crappie which some people challenge. We are looking for reaction strikes. When trolling jigs we would use the electric motor and try to maintain .5 to 1.5 depending on depth, time of the year and species of fish. Given other conditions such as weather and wind we often vary from these. Hope that helps. It seems to work for us. Thanks again for supporting FISH4FUN.
