The Super Speed 4 Perforated Jacket leans on Dainese's racing pedigree. That includes D-Skin Cowhide leather and aluminum shoulder and elbow plates on the outside along with CE Level 1 armor at the elbows and shoulders on the inside. Generous perforated panels optimize airflow while the anti-bacterial and anti-odor Nanofeel liner keeps things fresh.

Pat is such a pro.
Agreed
Dainese, love ❤️🔥 my older Super Speed C2 Leather Jacket design with its Micro-Elastic inserts. Please bring back the Zippered Chest 🌬️ Inlet Vents ♨️, and utilize more Micro-Elastication. All Dainese Jackets & Pants NEED more robust Main Zippers, and the Paints require more secure 2 to 3-Button Snap Closures!
Thanks for the review on the SS4, best one on TH-cam
This jacket is Goated
Just snatched this for a little over $300 a few hours ago 😛
From where ?
Wow great price. Where at
How? Where?
Was it missing arms?
Revzilla had a sale at the time, sorry for the late reply and I used zilla cash
I tried this jacket on and the arms seem to long for the size. Looks that way on him too.
I’m 6’1” and normally wear a 52. The 52 cuffs went past the center of my hand.
I was able to fit in a 48 and the arms were perfect but the base of the jacket road high.
This was weird because I have pretty long arms and a long torso. The 52 in every other Dainese jacket was perfect.
Dainese’s CE 1 Padded Armor is more comfortable than their Pro Armor. The Pro Armor is uncomfortable at the joints because it does NOT have any lightly padded-backing and is NOT flexible enough. Dainese needs more 3-D Bubble 🫧 Joint Padding in their Jackets and Pants for their Pro Armor to be tolerable.
So a 1000$ flagship Dainese jacket is so poorly made it's only AA-rated and uses CE Lvl 1 protectors.
I'll just stick to my Alpinestars Missile V2 Ignition with AAA-rating and CE Lvl 2 protectors for 400$...
Yes, I agree a $1,000 💸 Flagship Leather Jacket should have the companies best and highest rated Body Armor in it. BUT… If it’s uncomfortable, then what?
@@grayknight836 That just furthers the point being made. Dianese is a lazy company living off of the name of their brand.
The Valorosa 50th LTD QTF Leather Jacket from Dainese is more comfortable and has a better fit, as it is made in Ukraine, not Tanzania. However, the jacket has Pro Armor in the shoulders, which is noticeably uncomfortable when wearing the jacket even with there lightweight 3-D Bubble 🫧 Zonal Liner armor pockets. The Pro Armor would be more comfortable if it was softer and more flexible and had some lightweight back-padding. The same issues applys to the Antartica 2 Gore-Tex Suit, which also has the uncomfortable Pro Armor. Dainese needs to address and improve the comfort of their Pro Armor especially in the Shoulders, Elbows, Hips and Knees joint areas.
@@grayknight836 I think I got it the first 2 times you wrote it…
and fucking level 1 armors.......dainese fanboys and girls have no idea how much theyre being ripped off.
Just snagged one for 400. No complaints lol
Would adding the back protector effect sizing. Like if say a 58 fits snug, like really snug, would the back protector make it not close up. So size up to a 60?
It will add a bit of bull at the rear of the jacket, but it really depends on how it’s fitting. All leather jackets will break in about 10-15% with use so a back protector might be tight at first but relax to fit perfectly with time. If you have anything off a similar shape to put back there for a test at home that might help figure it out easier to. Hope that helps!
Yes, this is something no one ever addresses, and they NEED to in these product overviews. Once you put in a back protector it does get snug and then if you add chest protectors, it gets even more so, and as you get a little bit older, you may gain some weight and then you can’t zip up your nice expensive jacket.
Dainese Super Speed 4 fits good. Main & Interior Zippers are YKK 👏🏻. Forearms are loose, Wrist Cuff Opti Zippers are NOT staying closed. Absolutely do NOT like 👎🏻 the sublimated graphic thick material that does NOT stretch whatsoever, pinches at the chest/armpit area.
does anyone know why he said that you should put a back protector on before using the jacket ?
So you can test fitment. If the jacket is tight w/o a back protector in, when you add one the jacket might be too tight to comfortably wear. Back protectors aren't included with this jacket so we always recommend picking one up as well.
Very impressive, but 900 bucks just bragging rights.
Could D30 armour be fitted replacing the dianese armour?
Got mine in a 62 on the way. Hope it fits
How's the jacket?
@turbografx-1641 it actually was too big which was shocking. They must have changed their sizing since I last wore them in 2015. Gloves went from large to medium and jacket from 62 to 60
@@northernlefty5412 Hey mate, what is your chest measurement? Thanks
Would buy if it was CE level 2 / AAA. Level 1 is a big miss.
So they went down from D-skin leather to Tutu and from level 2 protectors to level 1 and increased the price, that's very dissappointing from Dainese
Still D-Skin 2.0, but yes to the armor.
@@RevZilla Oh really? The EU site says it's Tutu
Does anyone know if the elbow and shoulder armor can be removed and replaced?
Yes it’s replaceable
checked out this jacket online and it indicted CE level 2 armor. Did Dainese upgrade it eventually ?
Nope, the SS4 still uses Composite CE 1 armor at the Shoulders and Elbows currently. If they were to swap it out, it would likely be an entire model update to the SS5 not just a rolling change.
even the pro armor dainese has is just fancy rubber
Dainese’s CE 1 Padded Armor is more comfortable than their Pro Armor. The Pro Armor is uncomfortable at the joints because it does NOT have any padded-backing and is NOT flexible enough. Dainese needs more 3-D Bubble 🫧 Joint Padding in their Jackets and Pants for their Pro Armor to be tolerable.
Can I not wear the D-Air vest underneath this?
You can, the D-Air Smart Vest can be worn over or under this SS4 Jacket. Keep in mind if you are wearing it under, you want to have enough space / stretch for the deployment of the airbag though.
finally
Unbelievable they use shit for zippers...had a $600 jacket fail because of the zippers...back to Alpine
$1288 sing dolar.😅
Logo new cupra 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
