Same. I can't with that scene. All it takes is the clip on its own or someone reacting to it and I'm done. It's so poignant and it always gets me going.
Showing the innocence of children and how hate is passed down smh movie came out 30+ years ago and still holds true today sadly I love this movie btw 😊
I know everyone always says they cry at Bambi, but for some reason this movie gets to me way more. The scene where she leaves him in the woods and he doesn’t understand what’s going on makes me cry every time.
I’m an adoptee who has always had abandonment issues and feared my family would just up and decide they didn’t want me as a kid. This movie was so brutal for me as a child I don’t even think I cried that first time, just sat there hurt and confused and without the vocabulary to explain to my mom what it made me feel. As an adult it wrecks me every time when the widow Tweed brings Todd to the game preserve. I like to control cry because I struggle to cry about real life stuff, and this is on my list of movies I go to when I need it.
Totally know what you mean. It's weird but I've been forced to accept that that's what I need too to not emotionally implode. Although for some reason, this whole movie makes me weep on and off the entire time.

@@seungminmakesmestay When I’m especially in need of a cry and haven’t been able to get it out, I also tend to weep on and off throughout this film and others on my list. I also agree that it was an odd thing to realize I needed to do as a form of emotional wellness, lmao. I’ve actually gotten my mom to do the same because she bottles stuff up until she can’t handle it and could use more outlets like sad movies to get it out more frequently.
@@indiaexploresmovies2253 i will watch but only for you 🤣🤣🤣 and trust me i’ll be pausing it to weep. i promise you i haven’t watched this since i was like 9 years old because her leaving Todd just broke me completely
If anyone has read the book, then y’all know how the book goes. I’ve read the book (Fox and The Hound) as a kid my babysitter bought me the book as a kid. It traumatized me as a child. The book is completely different
Now to make this very depressing with some fun facts. There is book called "fox and hound" by Mannix but Disney could not use its rights. Luckily another author Rook pretty much ripped off the story, and this was Disney version. The story theme is about war and 2 friends being forced to fight on opposite sides. Rook version is poetic with fox being friends with hound and also was raised by same hunter, connecting everyone however had more of a lazy ending with Hunter randomly dying of heart attack. Mannix version is more realistic and darker with the fox dying of exhaustion from being hunted by hound. The hunter and hound were strangers to fox. The hound is also killed by his owner after he is kicked off his land and forced into a retirement home. Out of the 3 stories even if it loses some of war themes from books, I think Disney movie was the best story of 3. Widow Tweed raising Tod made more sense and being neighbors with Hunter/Copper so it wasn't just a random guy with his dog hunting Tod.
Because it's a cartoon I won't go too serious. But the fact I know she thought she was protecting him by releasing him to the wild. But when you raise a wild animal, and they lose most of their skills because there being fed by humans, and they become domesticated, they'd not know how to react or be able to hunt because no one ever showed them. So naturally, Tod would have starved to death or been attack by wild animals. But because it's a cartoon I will just accept it. But There's a movie called Born Free PG 1966 ‧ Adventure/Drama. I highly recommend it.
@@TracetoriMemoria Right. the one lady kept one and it grew up until later on it shows the story of them trying to reenter Elsa the Lion into the wild. It's a good movie to watch.
At the same time, they answered this in the movie. They had Todd immediately meet Vixie the morning after he was dropped off and then heavily implied that she could then use her existing outdoor skills to teach him. Even though Todd preferred to play around, he was consistently shown as smart. Ergo, not a huge logical leap that he'll get it down eventually and not die.
hold up. Danish subtitles?? Jeg havde ingen anelse. Mads og Mikkel er en vidunderlig film med alle slags følelser. de laver bare ikke film på den måde længere. well, the more you know.
Her dropping off Todd in the woods kills me. That music makes me cry every time.

The scene where she has to let Todd go is almost similar to how when an owner has to bring their pet to the vet for that hard decision!
I've been there
It was very very hard to say goodbye to our beloved golden retriever and our old cat😭😭😭😭
Oh lord... how did I never make that connection... 😭😭😭

This movie is so sad and underrated, seeing you cry most of the movie completely represented me 😭
Fun fact: Foxes were domesticated by early man before wolves. Also, in some states you can still have a fox as a pet.

Your reaction is exactly my reaction, it's been so long since I've seen that movie because I always cry from beginning to end 😭
This was a childhood favorite of mine even though I was born in 1996 I'm so glad to see a reactor finally watch it
U already know I’m crying with this movie 😢
One of my favorites but makes me cry every time.
I saw this in the theater when I was a kid and it made me cry. I haven't seen it lately, though, because I know it'll make me a bigger mess 😭
Good storytellng (not to mention directing, animation, and voice acting). All the CGI in the world can't beat great writing.
i refuse to rewatch this 🤣🤣🤣 it’s too heartbreaking i won’t do it
Do it cry with me please 😂😂

This is a lot less traumatic than that book
Foxes are very much afraid of hounds since hounds were bred by humans specifically for hunting/tracking wild animals.

I had that movie as a kid on VHS, barely remember it but it was about lion cubs, right?

@seungminmakesmestay It's a cartoon like I said. I'm speaking of realistic situations with wild animals returning to the wild.
This movie broke me as a child
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Fun fact : there’s a part 2
Oh god i dissolve watching this 😭😭
I saw this in the theater as a kid. Thought I was getting a fun Disney animal movie. I was totally heartbroken instead but still loved it 😭😭🥹
I prepared myself for the sad scenes and I was successful not crying

well, the more you know.
Why do so many Disney movies traumatize kids by having a parent die? This movie is heartbreaking
Because Disney himself was traumatized by losing his mother.
