The last couple of seasons I got bored with the other people and only wanted to watch Zack and Tori. So glad you broke free and doing your own thing now.
What a super episode. You answered so many questions that I had about what it was like to be on camera for all those years. You were on a great show and I spent a lot of hours enjoying it. Can I just say, thanks so much for sharing your lives. I am happy to know that there were some good times for you, too. I'm thankful, also, that you are still sharing your lives and letting us see your kids grow (the kid podcast was priceless).
Sorry but Tori is never going to let Zach talk or finish a sentence because Tori has been like this since she has been on the show !! Tori is always right, has to be the center of attention, and runs the entire conversation when she's speaking with anyone !!
You all are good people! I appreciated you and your family sharing your life on the show. I always think of how life is for the family when the show was on. I was hoping it wasn’t like so hard or difficult in life for you guys and not fake. I understand the aspects of what did happen behind the scenes “say that again so we get it on camera” or for transitions to other spaces I can understand a bunch of those things I’m just glad it was always your words and no scripts and your schedule want you wanted to do and you guys mostly drove the “what are we gonna catch on camera” train. That’s real reality considering it needed to be captured on film. I can live with your experience of reality and enjoy it. It’s things like scripts, fake arguments, fake drama that was made up ONLY for the show but wasn’t organic in the moment. Things like that. Also like HGTV, most of those shows are ridiculously set up.
You forgot the Osbournes. They were the first, but were only on four seasons. I watched your show quite a few years, but had to stop when it became so negative. Matt was obviously the star, so I felt that TLC steered the footage to make Amy look negative. You could actually see how we were being manipulated. Once she was divorced and happy, she was like a completely new person. I also have always admired your realness, Tori and Zach. You have gone on about your lives, handling everything thrown at you extremely well. Piece of personal trivia: I was doing some substitute work in Gresham, Oregon, and saw a little person walking down the street. Immediately recognized Amy and was like, WOW!
Amy has always been one of the most negative people that was on the show, she never smiled, spoiled Zach and always showed that Zach was her favorite child, and Amy's house was a pigsty because Amy didn't clean up after herself and she let all those kids run around with absolutely no rules, their beds didn't even have sheets on them, and their bedrooms were NEVER CLEANED !!! I personally would have never eaten anything Amy made because that beautiful kitchen Matt had built for her was always filthy. THAT BEAUTIFUL HOME MATT BUILT WAS DESTROYED BY AMY AND THOSE BOY'S AND ZACH WAS THE WORST BECAUSE HE WAS SO LAZY !!!
@ct6852 You are correct! I had forgotten that one, even though I remember watching for several years. The real world first aired in 1992, and the Osbournes first aired in 2002! Quite a disparity in years and in style! But, The Osbournes had that shockingly true to life reality. We had never seen such an infamous family behaving on the wild side in their real life. And didn't seem to mind looking so dysfunctional on TV before the world. I think that's why I loved it and missed it. They behaved as real people with real problems. The Real World, was much more manipulated and scripted.
@@debracoder3596 Those early seasons of The Real World are burned in my memory. That was pretty exciting for the time. Felt very fresh and new. And the Osbournes was also super popular. Celebrities hadn't really put themselves out there in the way before. Pretty sure it had huge ratings.
I would love to hear bts from Amy’s pov as a mom of 4 navigating reality tv as one of the first families in the industry. And additionally with Zach, the juxtaposition of their perspectives on the same memory would be really interesting.
I just want to leave a positive comment since I see a few negative Nelly’s. Thank you for allowing us into your lives for so long and continuing this podcast so we at least still get a glimpse. I really enjoy this podcast and look forward to it every week! You guys are doing awesome
Tori & Zach, you are both just so AWESOME❤ I enjoy this podcast everytime you post and I'm old enough to be your parent 😊 You got me to think everyday what is my peak 😊
This was a great podcast. Your TV show was so important to me as it was "a getaway" for my mind when my husband was so ill. Thank you for sharing the behind the scenes. Also, have enjoyed everyone of your podcasts. Thank you for sharing. Never watch actors anymore. May God Bless you and yours as you continue to share.
Hello! I'm from Brazil and I really enjoy following your family's life and history! I was very sad to hear that your beautiful family will no longer participate in little people, big world! And happy to see that you continue to be active on social media and updating us about your daily lives, struggles, challenges and successes in your beautiful and exciting lives! Good luck and may God guide your path always!
Zach has a wonderful attitude about work ethic standpoint, vanity or lack there of and sympathy for the business side/crew of it all. I’m glad that you both have gratitude overall for the gifts. I understand why you wouldn’t bring up the worst/dark side regarding a particular crew member criminal behavior and how maybe you had displeasure with your parents for putting you in the position as kids or for money etc. You both are eloquent with your handling of the conversation to keep it honest but not brutally so. God bless!
Hey Zach, I really want you to know, your down to earthness and knowledge makes you perfect to do a podcast or be in front of the camera!! I really love and look forward to Raising Heights!! It is enjoyable, Thank-You!!!
You two are both wonderful in presenting this podcast together as a couple. I watch a fair share along this line, but really nobody comes across as both natural but still professional as you two. You are both well spoken and natural story tellers. Love listening so much to you both! Congrats on that half marathon Tori! That is no small feat. 🏅
OMG You guys are getting better and better! I loved this episode (may be one of my favorites). I truly enjoy how honest and real you two are! No doubts that you two are truly soul mates!!! Also, great job on the podcast. I always look forward to each week's new episode. Please get Amy to join you guys. Would love to get her perspective on behind the scenes as well (especially since Zach was so young when they started filming).
We have a turkey trot 5k in the woodlands Texas on thanksgiving that my family does…to have nephews, brothers, sister in-laws all complete together before the biggest meal of the year has been fun!
Tori you are 100% right about how running is so much mental. I spent 20 years in the Army and ran 5 or 6 days a week and I didn’t enjoy it. The only time I enjoyed running was in Germany where I ran at least two Volksmarches each weekend and I loved it. These runs took you through the beautiful mountains and farmland. I lived in the Bavarian Alps and it was so beautiful. I would run a 10 or 12k on Saturday and then a different location on Sunday I would run a 5 or 10k . Now I am 100 pounds heavier and I’m 74 years old and regret not keeping up with my running or jogging.
I am not sure this is how they do it, but I have seen where others have had multiple phones set up recording from different angles and then when you edit the video you can splice and add whichever angle you want.
For someone who doesn't even like her photo taken, I find you both to be very brave! I enjoy this talk between the two of you I didn't really ever watch the "Little People, Big World" series... I knew about it and would see it on the TV in the family room when someone else was watching it, so I knew who Amy was ... but mostly because of an interview she did.... Then I actually saw her at Houston Airport when both of us were stuck there waiting for a flight to PDX... So I guess your family was on my radar but not like most fans or whatever. I don't really watch TV much at all, but I like PODCASTS... so this is great! Hope you keep it going.
I loved this topic and when I watched your first Raising Heights. Your being real. There was so much drama put there after you quit filming it was ridiculous. I love Amy's stuff too. Thankyou for sharing.
❤AWSOME JOB TORI❤ my mom she's now 61 but she ran lots of marathons and a half marathons and growing up I just remember my mom would take us four kids to the truck and it brought back a lot of memories you talking about this on your last podcast and this one. You should be very proud of yourself❤ that is absolutely awesome Tori ❤keep running ❤ I am now 38 and I would love to learn running and how to run and I'd be happy to do a darn 5k. I had a stroke 8 months ago and was on a walker and my body got kind of a few problems some nerve damage in my feet. I would still love to be able to learn to run and do things like that it's a huge accomplishment what you did and I don't know you personally but I'm really proud of you I'm happy for you❤ from way back when watching you in your teenage years through the show and now seeing what a beautiful family you and Zack have created and your beautiful beautiful children. You have grown and beautiful wife and mom and husband and Dad❤ it's really awesome to see❤ may God just bless you all and keep you safe and secure❤
This is cool. You're taking it farther than the show. Watched you with my daughter who basically was your ages growing up. Honestly it was you kids that attracted us to watch. It was like a family show that made it fun. Zach seems so down to earth and it's nice to learn more about the reality of reality.
Thanks for sharing your perspectives on what it was like filming a reality show. It really is quite an odd thing that most of us will never experience so I can’t help but be rather interested in hearing what it was actually like. Also, congrats to Tori on completing a half marathon! That’s quite a feat. Thanks again. Loving the podcast.
Zach them telling you you need to step it up and decorate for the party...........this won't do! Reminds me of your thinking for buying the food for your get together's!!!!!!! SMILE!
Just like Tori felt it weird to be disconnected from the crew once the show ended I would feel the loss of getting to watch you guys if it weren't for this podcast. Having the Roloff family in our homes for all these years it would be a hard thing to just not get to enjoy you and your little kids. I would totally understand if you completely walked away from the public eye, but your family is so loved and truly would be very missed. God is given you such an incredible platform and I'm glad your are so willing and successful at it. Here's to many more podcasts.

One of my favorite episodes. Congratulations Tori on your 1/2 marathon, what a feat! Love hearing what life was really like with cameras taping everything. Even though you got used to it, I don’t think that makes it easier. Thanks for your insight.
It’s really good for important focus on Zach true perceptions about growth behind cameras. We all know Zach has shown so much self growth over time thinks to Tori

I only watch LPBW when I was younger and then just followed yall on social media instead once I was older. Watching this actually made me go back and watch some episodes lol… I think it’s an interesting topic to understand the reality behind the staged reality. I could tell just watching a few episodes be the podcast that this feels more genuine and you both seem much more comfortable here.
Zach you should find a way to stay in TV behind the camera, you have so much experience in the industry, and you come across that you would enjoy that type of career. You became quite animated talking about it and I think youd enjoy it
Loved this theme. I was actually with my kids in Fred Meyers during one of those shopping times. I believe it was the episode that you Zack were trying to find clothes to fit for school and of course it was difficult.
I have watched the show from the beginning, and today I loved hearing about behind the scenes. I hope you will talk more on that . And please look at the camera more I know your not comfortable with it, but when you just look at each other which is so cute, I feel like I am intruding on a personal conversation. love you guys

Zach I feel you brought a lot of light to dwarfism. There’s a lot of things I did not know about you. You know the medical stuff and I mean it’s kind of like in your head. I wonder how much medical problems I have, but it brought a lot of light to that and then that convention you guys go to I had no clue so I appreciate your guises show just for that aspect of it, and you can tell I know that there was a lot of you know staging but you couldn’t tell because you came out there just as you and I think the one thing that I really thought was really odd with Jacob when he just like he was 18 got his car left. Great podcast! Loved the show until your dad decided he no longer wanted to be with your mom. So glad your mom has someone who truly loves her now. Very interesting to hear your behind the scenes viewpoints. So glad you and Tori are doing the Podcast so we can keep up with you and your beautiful family! 🙏❤️🙏
Still! She keeps doing it!....I'm hanging on Zach finishing an interesting thought, and Tori cuts in like she just can't wait for him to finish the thought and she wants to talk about HER thought....and I'm dying to hear the rest of what Zach was gonna say. I don't think she'll ever be able to stop herself. Enough people have complained about it in the comments.. and she still does it! He often has to fight to finish what he's saying. For me it ruins the podcast.
I cannot THANK YOU both enough for sharing your personal life on reality TV. I learned so much from you both! You are my hero and heroine! I can see why you both fell in love with each other. I wonder how did you feel about sharing your wedding day with us? I was so moved and cried so much seeing two great role models get married to each other. You both make such GREAT PARENTS to your darling beautiful children! I was so happy to hear you honoured Jackson's request NOT to be filmed at times, children do need their privacy and do not need to be in the public eye. GOD BLESS!!!
PS! Congratulations Tori on running the race!!!!! 🎉 What a proud moment that was for you!!! And! It is agreeable that demonstrating good health habits/practices are so important to children! Especially given most of our food in the US that isn’t straight from a farm is absolute garbage.
Love your podcast. I think you are both naturals at it and hope that you continue this for as long as you can. The way you both converse it awesome. Love to see such a happy couple that has good communication. Your kids are incredibly lucky to have you both as parents.
Thanks so much for sharing. Love all of you. I’ve always wondered how your family got involved with reality TV. I’m sure Matt was the driving force, but did someone answer an ad, or did someone approach your family, etc.? I’ve always been curious about how the show came about and how your family was selected. Thanks again, and way to go Tori. Congratulations on your run! 💕
Love watching your podcast. You both are so authentic and real. A true joy to hear your perspective of being a reality TV star. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to more of your great podcasts.
12:38 I first saw the Roloff family on a 30 minute variety show called "Evening Magazine" based out of Seattle. This was before LPBW was ever aired. Just a general interview with the family, farm and all the awesome structures that were built on the farm (western town, forts, etc..).
Your show helped my family so much. We started watching when my oldest daughter was much shorter than her classmates and she thought that meant she couldn’t do some things. Your show helped her realize that her height doesn’t determine if she can do something. I also learned more about dwarfism and pushed her doctor to find out why she wasn’t growing. Her doctor would just say that since I am short she is going to be short. After a lot of pushing we finally were recommended to genetics. We found out she has a rare form of dwarfism called Leri Weil (LWD) we found out my middle daughter is average height and my youngest also has LWD. I was diagnosed with it at 33. It’s thanks to your show that we were able to finally get an understanding as to why. You and your family really were an inspiration.
Hey Zach and Tori, love the podcast, have been watching since 1st episode. Love how down to earth you both are and the respect you show to one another. Do you think, in the future, if the kids want to watch LPBW that you will allow them?
Thanks for opening up about doing the show. Looks like it was a hard thing to do because everything you did was filmed even the tough times.. I give you credit for doing it because its tough. I was wondering if the show is going to continue without you guys not being there. I am sad you all are done but I understand why you've been doing it along time. Im very curious about if the show is still going to happen without you guys? Thanks for this and appreciate you too. Blessing and love seeing the kids and will miss seeing them but I do follow you on ig so I get to see them cutie pies.

The Real World was the granddaddy of them all. And the situations got more and more produced after that.
I completely agree with you 💯
Tori & Zach, you are both just so AWESOME❤ I enjoy this podcast everytime you post and I'm old enough to be your parent 😊 You got me to think everyday what is my peak 😊
Zach climbed Mt. St Helen. I think you are both amazing and brave!! This is Tori’s week!!🎉
Congratulations on completing your half marathon, Tori!
I too have much respect for people who run those things and full marathons! Well done!😊👍🥇
I would only run if someone was chasing me! :). Congratulations Tori!!!!! That is awesome!
Not even sure I would run then! I run in my dreams, also fly! Does that count?
Hahahhaahha!
😮Someone would have to pay me a fortune to run at my age. I will walk now😊
Depends on who is chasing me. Matter of fact, no, it doesn't matter, I'm not running.
Who works the camera on the podcast - cutting from one person to the other, zooming in and out. It's done so well !
I am not sure this is how they do it, but I have seen where others have had multiple phones set up recording from different angles and then when you edit the video you can splice and add whichever angle you want.
You are a runner because you run!!!😊And “Go slow, the body will Go”!
It was a total comfort show. With a nagging undertone of discontent with Amy and Matt. But most of it was remarkably innocent.
GOOD FOR YOU TORI...Congratulations...so proud of you ❤🎉❤
Hello Zach and Tori! Congrats on your 1/2 Marathon!🎉 I Love your podcast and your Beautiful family❤
Miss the show, love the podcast. Zach, keep us updated on your mom. Congrats Tori that was no easy feat
Amy does her own lives (she has one today,Thursday, 4:30 pst👍🏻
Not missing them, almost forgot them
@@theresab9813on youtube?
@@meggie423 And yet, here you are.. 🤣🤣🤣
@@meggie423The last 2 1/2 years all we heard from Zach and Tori was CONSTANTLY COMPLAINING and I was glad that that quit filming. 🤮🤮
Favorite episode so far!! Its fascinating to hear what happens behind the scenes to make "reality" tv! Thanks for sharing! ❤
Enjoyed this episode so much! It’s was so interesting! I really hope you make more episodes about behind the scenes! Really Love your podcast! Always look forward to it! ♥️
Love that you guys are so real.
Congratulations Tori👏🎉please do part two on subject. It’s very interesting and Zach seems like he has more to say. Love you guys ❤ keep up the good work!
Very interesting, informative and transparent conversation Zach and Tori. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with you Zack. You both are good people. I like how you're teaching your children foundation in life.any blessings to you all.
Love this episode! I think I could listen to y’all talk for hours! Very interesting hearing about how things were during filming. I would love to hear more about it. Thanks for continuing to sharing your lives with us. ❤
You's communicate so incredibly well........ a sign of a great relationship So good for, and to each other!
We named out pup Sully. We thought it was a cool name, when we heard you calling your Sully😂. But when people ask our dogs name, they say “oh after the pilot”? Noooo😂
You two sure explain things great! Your lego reflection of what actually is reality was wonderful..........as your family is! Just the facts.
You became quite animated talking about it and I think youd enjoy it
Not sure he could pull off being as manipulative as a lot of tv producers have to be.
Loved this theme. I was actually with my kids in Fred Meyers during one of those shopping times. I believe it was the episode that you Zack were trying to find clothes to fit for school and of course it was difficult.
LOVE THIS POD CAST!! Thanks for sharing!!❤
I have watched the show from the beginning, and today I loved hearing about behind the scenes. I hope you will talk more on that . And please look at the camera more I know your not comfortable with it, but when you just look at each other which is so cute, I feel like I am intruding on a personal conversation. love you guys
You two are the most natural beautiful couple...what a wonderful authentic awesome couple..so down to earth, humble and seamless...Tori loves Zak so muchhhhhhhhh and he gets shy embaarrassed, just so adorable...You both put love and life into my life-the children are grown, I am here alone-blessed and thankful, but you two give me so much peace & happiness...beautiful beautiful children, family...just Thank you so much.
The show was awesome it made my childhood. I’ll always remember watching it at my late grandmas house. Best times ever. Thank you
I absolutely love you're podcasts, you're honesty, truthfulness&saying straight how it is,so refreshing and about time genuine real people have a voice also 3 beautiful children 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤
They didn’t that wasn’t weird, wasn’t know up to her or anything or a graduation party or nothing like that you guys had a fabulous job. I do wish that the show was on that. I love that you guys are doing this because this keeps us up-to-date on you guys. it’s really I really find that thing. Find you guys great thank you guys have a really great topics and just fabulous.
I appreciate Zack saying some days you don't feel like filming but thats what they signed up for and the crew has a job that needed their shot cuz they also had a job. Thats a mature way too look at it and no be egotistical.
How would you know?
@@ShariAbner1 Cuz Zack said it? What do you mean?
There’s no perfect job, I’ve had difficult or unpleasant experiences in my career too. Did the kids not have a choice and did they get paid by TLC?
That’s what their PARENTS signed up for. You’d think we’d learned from the sitcoms of the 60’s & 70’s with the testimonies of the kids as adults
@@MJBK675Zach and Tori would not have anything like they have now if it weren't for them filming period !! They are sitting here complaining about how filming was such a pain BUT THEY CHOSE TO BE ON THE SHOW BECAUSE OF THE MONEY !! 😂😂 Tori is definitely a very complainer and she always has had Zach at home with her because she didn't want to take care of the kids because Tori is LAZY !!! I hate that they were so close to Matt and Caryn UNTIL they didn't get exactly what they wanted !! They didn't get along with Amy especially Tori and Zach didn't like Chris at all but suddenly they are nice to Amy and Chris because they don't want Matt and Caryn to see their children. I guarantee you that Jackson one day will watch all this back and he will NOT be happy with his parents. Zach and Tori will finally quit complaining when Matt passes away and that's very sad and selfish as hell !!
Y'all are doing a great service to couples and families, showing how important relationship is. Love❤️
watched LPBW since the start and still follow yall.. been enjoying your podcast!! thx for sharing !
Great episode guys. Interesting topic. I think you have a good dynamic and I think Zach speaks up for himself if he feels cut off. I think that’s the typical conversational flow in a marriage anyway.
I think they probably loved each other...but they may've also felt forced together from the get.
That was sooo interesting. Thank you for this. I watch every week, and I always watched LPBW. ❤
Love this one! I actually wondered about the backyard and if crew ever helped with stuff like that as I watched it
Yes. Obviously thinks it needs no input. Learning from others is big part of life.
Great episode thanks for all the behind-the-scenes stuff
I just adore you two. I love the love you have for each other.
You guys are amazing I love watching you guys. Very interesting subjects you guys talk about. Tori so proud of you with your running ❤❤❤❤
Love watching your podcast. You both are so authentic and real. A true joy to hear your perspective of being a reality TV star. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to more of your great podcasts.
Congratulations on running and finishing the 1/2 marathon Tori!! Love the Timothy Lake loop, it's a beautiful area around Mt. Hood.
Thanks guys. Love your conversations.
Great show. Very interesting stuff you brought up with the "behind the scenes" content.
Hey Zach and Tori, love the podcast, have been watching since 1st episode. Love how down to earth you both are and the respect you show to one another. Do you think, in the future, if the kids want to watch LPBW that you will allow them?
Love your vlogs. Zack seems more relaxed and talks a bit more now. Awsome ❤
Well done Tori! Thank you for motivating us to be healthy and exercise!
Kuddos to yall leaving the cameras. Privacy is so nice. Keep raising your family and enjoy life
Thanks for opening up about doing the show.
